WHen you're solo, meaning Phalanx Fighting is not up, your melee defense isn't soft capped. If you check the one I put up, even without Phalanx Fighting, you're at soft cap at both melee and ranged.
But, your build is pretty good.
Just remember, Phalanx Fighting is only active when you have other people around you, which I mean...if you're 4 boxing shouldn't be a problem :P

What Patron would be workable for this combo. I could go Mako and grab hiber and have the leadership pool for tactics....however I could also go for Ghost Widow and grab power boost but I'd have to drop leadership and grab concealment pool for Phase?
I guess I'm just asking what would be most beneficial for arena. >.> -

Many moons ago there was something called the TpvpL on test server. I might have the name wrong but thats neither here nor there.Anyway the test pvp people formed a temp league in order to get some new blood and expand the official ladder.Basically, a few seasoned people volunteered to be Captains in a league based on open draft.It ended up being pretty big.With the amount of zone pvp that happens on Freedom I betcha this is doable again.The key is getting 5-10 seasoned fella's to volunteer to head up the teams.Basically, establish the Captains to have an idea of the amount of teams. Issue a signup thread for a draft pool.Everyone signs up in that pool...... the seasoned players who are not Captains and also any player(not seasoned) with an interest in participating. Sign up includes global name and a list of their pvp viable AT's.Put a time limit on signups and be specific about there being practice schedules as well as matches.Let players know that they are entering a team for a league and practices are important and mandatory for participation.
The Captains met in vent for the "draft' and established the teams. I think they used s system like NFL draft picks to set teams. Each team was a mix of expert,mediocre and novice. Every Captain could pick up buddies in the draft but they also tried to somewhat balance the teams.Teams got posted in the thread and off it went. Some of the Captains did temp websites for team practice schedules etc. Voice com was a must.I think the league ran for about 6 weeks.... 2 weeks for practices and then a month with the weekly matches.
The thing to remember here is the point of doing something like this is to help players make the transition from zone pvping to arena pvping.I cannot remember who was the main organizer.. I want to say Johnny(something thats on the tip of my tongue).
Anyway? You keep the official ladder seperate and start something like the above to GET MORE people interested in arena. You tell people about it and encourage that guy who says" I love pvp but am not good enough for arena" to join up and see what its all about.There is also the added benefit to scope out new talent for the officials and expand those team rosters.
Yea... it sounds like a pain in the *** to get going but the longterm benefits to the official ladder might be worth hosting something like this again.
I KNOW some of y'all remember this league even if it happenned 2-3 years ago!

As of now, the Pinnacle PvP League is defunct. Due to the free server transfers and the population of the server, I find myself transferring most, if not all, my PvP Toons elsewhere. I have joined the Freedom PvP SG Ladder they're currently trying to set up, and I've logged on to their server for some PvP and have been extremely satisfied to find that Zone and Arena PvP are very active and competetive. Due to the changes, and unless some influx of PvP Oriented players put some life into this server, I reiterate, Pinnacle PvP League is now dead.
Thanks to all those that participated in our only season. It was messy, but it was extremely fun watching you guys compete. To all those in the Pinnacle PvP league channel, you may leave that channel now to free up another slot of global channels for you guys to join.

I still say for 6v6 and higher lineups, a "No more than 2 of the same ATs" in the lineup type of rule or clause would be beneficial. At least then, it gives a chance for that excitement and unknown factor in the sense that it gives everyone at least a chance at winning without having to face a FOTM type of lineup. For anything lower than 6v6, a "No Same AT" type of rule would be nice.

I just wished there were more participants, and with the way things are now, it seems Freedom is the best server to get something organized going.
I was thinking along the lines of breaking it up into Divisions. Therefore, every type of PvPer is covered. These are just ideas I've had floating for quite some time. Feel free to destroy them or add to them or build on them if you want. Like I said, they were just ideas.

Same rules as 1v1 except the fact that there can not be repeating ATs. This ensures fairness and variety.

See above except this this time, instead of no repeating ATs, you can just say no more than 2 of the same ATs.
Ultimate 8v8
Same as the 5v5
NOTE: I can not stress enough these are just ideas that's been floating around my head for quite some time. I'm not a "veteran" as most of you are, but I do have a pretty good grasp on the mechanics of our current PvP system. I know it's a lot of work, but if it does take off, it'll be a lot of fun. Have little purses or even have a scheduled match and mid carders and such like they do for MMA and Boxing and stuff. People would flock and watch the fight.
I'm sure from the current perspective on PvP, it's not even worth trying, but essentially, something organized would definitely be a lot of fun. Again, these are just ideas. OH, and for lulz, lemme add this last division.

Here it is man. I'm sure you have your own playstyle, but at least with this, I built for as much HP as I can, recharge is pretty solid without purples, but if you wanna upgrade, purples are already in place so all you have to do is switch the recipes and flip it.
