  1. I get where folks are coming from. I don't use any other Internet forums, so all I've known is the CoH&V forums for the last 5 years. It's just a shock to the system, we'll all adjust and within a month or two we'll all be use to these forums and realize they offer much more customization then the old ones.

  3. Ditto on the default to the English forums. Kinda annoying to have to select English everytime. Also, wondering what the logic is in combining the EU and NA forums when we can't play together? I mean, it's kinda lame that I can meet new kewl CoH&V players on the forums but can't actually interact ingame with them.

    To me, it looks like you look limp wristed and actually making contact with the bottom of your wrist....kinda like how a 3 year old hits his sister or maybe like Richard Simmons would fight.

    Tremor, Fault, Footstomp, Lightning Rod, Thunderstrike.

    Focus is a single target attack. Shockwave is a cone. There are much better AoE KD powers available for pairing with /elec.

    Focus and Shockwave recharge fast enough that Claws provides the best control of any melee set I've ever played. You can literally put entire mobs where you want them with KB from shockwave and keep the hardest hitter of the bunch on his ars permanently by using focus in between. I'm not saying stone doesn't have good control, but recharge is an issue where it is not with claws.

    Also, if your getting overwhelmed it's always fun to knock half a mob of the edge of a bridge or cliff.

    I think an option to turn off other peoples buff graphics is a great idea. I like the way my characters look and don't even like it now when I get turned into a flaming icecube inside a green ball just for walking past the Market.

    What's funny is I'm watching both videos and all that is going thru my head is "Ooohh, that could work for claws!"

    That quick uppercut from the MA video could be a great alternate animation for Focus :O

    Well that's the obvious answer, but if people didn't like it before in different sets and it was replaced...using it again instead of making something new comes off as kinda half assing it. IMO anyways. Who knows, it could just be a filler animation used for the demo and wont actually be used. I was just surprised/disappointed to see it.

    I really like the jab and punch animations....alot. They are actually a jab and a punch now!

    She either skipped over Haymaker or it wasn't there yet, I'm hoping for the same quick upper cut animation from the new MA.

    New KNBlow is great and the hand punch is very nice.

    Very good job indeed. I'll be taking my SS/WP brute out of retirment for sure.

    I think the quick upper cut looks very nice, and I can't really tell on the one that appears to be throwing an elbow/forearm rather than your fist....need to see that one more before I can decide if I like it or not.

    The gut punch looks super weak, and the baseball pitch animation has been used a few different times for different things and always gets replaced because people hate it. No idea why they'd try to use it again.

    The last one where you can't see it cause he goes off the screen looks interesting, but who knows what it looks like.

    So out of 5 new animations for MA one is great, one is ok, 2 suck, and one is a total mistery. Was hoping for a little more out of BaBs to be honest. Who knows if these will be the final animations that make it to live though. If I make it into beta I will take it upon myself to do eveything I can to at least get the base ball pitch animation replaced

    Kinda disappointed in the MA animations. I can't believe they actually brought the baseball pitch animation back as a punch again....yuck.

    SuperStrength on the other hand looks very nice.
  16. I think something should be done about the horribl accuracy and endurance drain at low levels. Missing and waiting on rest to recharge is no kinda fun.

    Also, the idea of street mobs being like GMs as in they all are automaticly +1 to whoever is attacking them is a good idea IMO. I this combined with higher XP/droprates for street sweeping could add another option to the game. As is, noone will ever street sweep with me
  17. GR probably won't be out this year. I think I was just blinded by my desire for it to come out soon when I posted before. Stepping back and looking at everything from a trully unbiased stance....I'd bet on 2010.

  19. Thanks for the explaination Sarrate. I'm not exactly sure on the deal with defense. Like why is 42.5 % way better than 38%? I always hear people talk like there are certain magig numbers in defense that make a huge difference to survivabilty. I also here people say at a certain point it's just too much defense and a waste. Care to try and explain to a lamen how it works? or maybe just provide a link? Thanks.

    Want MA for brutes so bad now....anywho, very excited about this. I didn't really care much about changing colors of powers so I'm glad they are also doing alternate animations for guys like me to get excited over. Good stuff.
  21. I think reaching waaay back like KOBlow without the little hand twirl part, then coming over the top and sinking your fist into the earth would be pretty damn cool.....
  22. I know this one will get flamed, but here goes. I think not only is CoH outdated and needs revamped, but I think there are just to many zones in general. I think they should just eliminate 2-3 of older least used zones. Say they got blown off the map by Rikti or something.

    Then, with less zones, start redoing the remaining zones one zone at a time and one enemy faction at a time, one TF at a time.

    CoV is fine IMO and doesn't need any zones, missions, or enemies revamped. It is newer and the graphics look better than CoH, the missions and SFs are laid out better and the enemies look more details. CoV is more quality over quanity and I think CoH could be revamped to also follow that strategy.
  23. I have a feeling when we see the new animations for Martial Arts, most people will jump on the MA 4 Brutes Bandwagon. BaBs said most of the alternate animations for Super Strength are entirely new, so I'm assuming most of the new punch animations for MA will be new also. (possibly a few of the same new animations Super Strength is getting?)

    Anyways, Dual Blades is really the only good example of BaBs work since most animation were done before him and reused way to often. Considering how great the DB animations are....I'm betting BaBs will give us some pretty good looking attacks for MA ans SS. Point is I'm looking into the future and I want MA4Brutes now!
