There's a character information option on the menu. Forget what it's called. Or just issue the "/info" with no target selected. It'll have a Badges tab with both an icon display and a count of the badges you have.

Quote:Ring of Fire should be taken for those times you are soloing, for whatever reason, both for the mag 4.00 immobilize to snare bosses and to vastly increase your damage, at least early on before you can lock things down to be slaughtered by Hot Feet. You can always respec out of it later once you feel it's no longer useful.Ring of Fire, Smoke and Bonfire are optional. I like to take Bonfire and skip the others, but opinions vary.
Of course, it's skippable if you think you'll be teaming 100% of the time right out of the tutorial...
Quote:Fitness (until I-19) and Hasten are essential. I like having Air Sup and Fly for travel, but opinions vary on that. -
Quote:Especially if you're playing at the default difficulties of +0/x1 and no Bosses & AVs while solo (or are on a team at the defaults). The Blaster, at higher levels, is somewhat less forgiving, and is more challenged by things like mob mez that the easy-mode ATs (melee) don't even have to think about. However, they are still a viable AT.
Of course, this being the forum, virtually no one is playing at the defaults while solo and thinks that anything that can't handle +4/x8 with Bosses & AVs on isn't worth the time. -
Yes, casting a Sleep on something or a group automatically forces your teammates to consider it/them their prime target, just as if you were a Radiation Emission user and had dropped a debuff on a foe.

Quote:Oh, noes! 20 seconds of having to pop a couple of blues and selectively using skills instead of spamming them, how horrible! There is no reason a Nuke has to be used by sacrificing your next 20 seconds of gameplay.
Really, the only nukes that should be looked at for reducing or removing the crash (and, of course, lowering the power) are the ones for melee archetypes' defense sets (since if there's anything alive after the nuke wears off, even popping blues isn't going to be effective enough to get your defenses up and running in any useful capacity, much less attack or do anything to keep aggro; ranged characters at least have running time or a melee in the thick of things to keep stuff off of them while their defenses are down). -
Such a shame the old world hospitals weren't altered to add 'em, though.
-
Nah. Not worth the cost for that - I find that I rarely need to use Decieve as it is, and when I do it's as a surgical strike. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
-
Ah, yes. I see the main spot where I went wrong there, completely forgetting that EM Pulse could be slotted as a Hold, and thus take Basilisk's Gaze. Thanks, Local.

Horrible, horrible build. 97.5% global recharge (with Coercive). Phantom Army's only at +80% damage so that I can keep their recharge down to 60.9s. Don't think I can do any better without a total redesign or eventually getting more purples. Capped on the 6.25% recharge sets, too. Posi's proc in Ice Storm is going to be switched for an Acc/Rech of some sort one of these days (only there because I needed a placeholder when assembling the set in order to get to the 5, then dropped the final piece on the remaining SO out of habit)
Anyone got any suggestions on how to tweak it for better performance/better PA damage/a bit more recharge without a total tear-down? (sorry about the IOs all being at L33 - in reality, they're all levels 30-35, but I can't figure out how to get Mids to let me specify individual levels for the IOs and the TINY level numbers for IOs on the management screen makes an accurate reproduction of my IOs next to impossible anyways :/)

The problem is you have to turn on the "MissionObjectives" radio button in the map's Options - it won't be on by default. It'll be there on any mission involving glowies outside of missions.
-
I tried it this morning myself. Couldn't even get to level 10 before becoming sick at how slow Trick Arrow felt because of all the redraw.
-
Of course, Illusion Control does have an "ST" in it - Spectral Terror (aka Awesome Spooky Pet) for Fear. It is unskippable, IMHO.
-
On the other hand, that Boss you just hit is down by 1/4th off of one hit, or a LT down to 1/3rd, or the Minion you just one-shotted is going to prove less of a problem for you.
-
Eh. Serum's a decent power, except for its recharge (5 minutes would certainly be more reasonable if everything else about it remained unchanged). Toss it on a Merc who's starting to take too much damage and then toss him a blue when he crashes.
-
Yes, it boosts your To-Hit. The only damage it gives is when you are using Sniper Rifle from the Assault Rifle set (and only that one, not any of the other sniper powers).
-
Get Stamina (2 slots with Endurance Modification) from Fitness. That and a single Endurance Reduction in every single attack and toggle, plus one in each click power that you use more than once every 30 seconds or so, you have should fix most of your problems.
-
Probably meant Kinetic Crash (though Pistols doesn't take KB sets, so Mondo'd still be mistaken).
-
The bonus damage isn't much. At L45, my AR/Dev is getting 35 or 36 bonus damage (it floats up as an individual number). It's not much, but it's a nice little bonus, I guess, on a power you take for the extra to-hit.
-
Hell, no. Don't keep Incendiary on at all times. When solo, go with standard (ie, pure Lethal) ammo - the frequent knockback will save your ***. A different matter on teams, of course. And you might want to consider the toxic rounds as well, at least later on when fighting BIG stuff that can do several hundred damage per hit.
-
The only one I've had so far that went red (from blue, haven't got any Praetorians out yet) had to go kill Burch, then got the cape mission.
-
Quote:Shush. You know that soloers don't matter and that any power that's good for them (especially ones that aren't good in groups, such as Time Bomb or Detention Field, though obviously that doesn't apply here) automatically sucks.Sleeps aren't garbage, they're situational. They are excellent for players who solo, especially sleeps that don't cause aggro.
-
Plenty of people. Tends to be very expensive, though. With a single purple set (Coercive Persuasion in Decieve) and 4 LotGs, plus recharge sets in everything that takes it, I've got a +90.00% global recharge on my Ill/Rad (so +190% after Hasten and Accelerate Metabolism). My Phantom Army (with L35 recharge IOs for 96.5% recharge on the power itself) is at 62.1s recharge.
With Quick Reflexes from Secondary Mutation up, I *do* have perma (57s) - or would if I were any good at noticing the blinking icon as the 10s countdown happens, and it disappearing, for the PAs to begin fading away. -
Seems to be intentional. Probably part of the 'pure experience' they wanted for Praetoria in the first while.
-
For gaining XP/Inf, treating every mission as a Defeat All is more profitable than than going just for the completion bonus - unless you can stealth something like 5-6 missions in the time it takes you to clear one. Obviously still should just stealth the more tedious ones that you can (such as glowie and hostage hunts on outdoor maps).
If, however, your goal is just to get a mission badge, reward merits, or to get your 3-5 scanner/paper missions or 5 tips done for the zone/day and you don't care about the XP/Inf, THEN stealthing is the way to go. -
Eh. Just look at the Tree as something you alternate with Rest between nasty fights, as well as something you toss down in long fights with little running around. Like Triage Beacon, it's fine as-is.
