I7 hasn't changed this, it's introduced a new zone where Heroes have access to Epics in PvP and focused accuracy is the only new +Per power and then only available to Tanks and Scrappers; everything else is the same as before. Stalkers need to adapt your approach and tactics depending on the situation like everyone else.

    Tried again against another Spines/regen. He couldn't kill me if I stood next to him, transfusioning and sipon speed and power all the time. I couldn't kill him either!
  4. Yeah, might work. Ice/Dark would be better perhaps, with the fear and tar patch. Also, it's possible to stack enough holds to pop the mez protection.
  5. In theory that's great but you still need something to stop yourself getting killed by the spines. It's not like staying out of melee range helps
  6. I am kinetics! Transfusion didn't seem to affect the regen rate. I imagine siphon speed got pretty annoying, but I didn't have time to stack more than one before I was dead.
  7. Hey, so messing about in sirens last night and it was pretty good fun. Just me as a fire/kin corruptor and a few others on heroes. So we did a few duels. One that really stood out was the one vs. the spines/regen. I couldn't even dent the regen rate, and that was without instant healing running, while the damage output at range was just silly. So what can villains do against them beside bringing a while team along to spike them?

    Low burst damage = bad for PvP. Neutron Bomb has pathetic damage, sniper requires you to be still, and that's very bad in PvP. Also, both have silly animation times. Shame really cos they look and sound so damn awesome!

    As hard as it was for me to admit, Rad blast is pretty poor for PvP. The only thing it's got going for it is cosmic burst

  11. I've seen a fair few PBs but never a warshade. The PBs tend to be pretty low on the list of threats when I'm playing but I imagine a WS would be a bit more nasty, with the -recharge on attacks and all their stun attacks to irritate squishies. You might also be fairly safe from stalkers in human form with one of the auras running.

    Aye, tis true. It's just that the conversation was about energy melee so I was being specific.

    I'm a bit surprised that omgarm said that non blaster EM toggle drop him. Must be total focus, cos I'd be surprised if you could hit fast enough to stack the disorients from the other attacks.
  13. Whoa, hold on there! So dominators and trollers have similar damage output? That's so very wrong! Trollers get buff/debuff abilities on par with corruptors and they get damage? That's so very very wrong.

    Mind you, hearing about these toggle droppers that doms get makes them sound a whole lot more appealing. I imagine they end up playing something like a blapper in PvP, just having to take a bit longer about it?

  16. Damn fine time was had by all I think! Twas my first real taste of large team based PvP and it was great fun.

    But damn, those flying empaths were a real pain to remove
  17. Take the tentacles attack! Really, a cone immob is s great asset in casual PvP. Not everyone takes the leaping pool powers

    Ah yes! I remember that. The problem with villains is that many of the random stalkers in villain team just run off and solo. Just the 2 of us would do pretty well by not doing that
  19. The resistances these powers grant reduces the duration of said effects, much like the mez resistance granted by Accelerate Metabolism

    Both of these sets are good for both solo and team play. I've got a fire/kin and he can steamroll missions on his own, and in a team people like to say things like "SB PLIZZZZ!" so I know I'm needed Kin is more of a team set.
    If you want to do PvP get fire or ice primary.

    That doesn't really happen any more, and if it ever does you're in the team that has beaten the opponent right back to their base and they can't get out. You get no debt for this death.

    Irradiate lasts about 30s. Certainly a useful duration.

    Only blaster energy melee has automatic toggle droppers. Tank and brute have to do it the old fashioned way, by stacking enough disorients to break past the mez defence. This is pretty unlikely to happen.
