  1. Gratzamundo!

Sorry I wasn't there for the ding, my memory must be failing me in my old age!

Edit: The lack of Total Cat caused me to miss it
  2. Exactly. I don't stand around for long enough to benefit much from the location healing powers, everyone moves so fast, one mob to the next.

Those times would be great, if I wasn't going to brighton tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'll be on tonight as I have an essay to write and packing to do :S

    [/ QUOTE ]

Lucky you! Well, keep an eye out for me in game I guess, or send a PM if you want to arrange a time.

After a REALLY boring time in Sirens Call, with 2 heroes just running away or floating just out of reach, I finally gave chase without my bots and got dead. Death by boredom I tell you!

So, I want a proper standup fight with someone. Red Right Hand, Mastermind, vs. some snivelling little (or big, I'm easy) hero, who hopefully wont run away or bore me to death!

    Sirens Call, Defiant.

    Any takers?

    Me. What are you, robots/?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Awesome!

Robots/Force Field. I'll be around from about 9.30 tonight (GMT), or some time on the weekend would be good too.
  5. No way! Mine sucked for aaaages, now in the 20s it's started to get fun!

  7. Whatever you do, don't six slot anything with the same type of enhancer! The new Enhancement 'Diversification' means, esentially, that you get almost no improvment.
  8. Sooo, I've got a few comments I think, based on my own Robo/FF experience, and it seems like we're both aiming for the same sort of thing

Are you sure you'll need stamina (I assume that's what you're going for with the fitness pool)? Durin combat I find I do very little, bar accasionally keeping some boss on his bum with force bolt, and constantly running a lot of toggles. If you lose the fitness pool you'll be able to take more tricks, invis or the first aid pool. I certainly don't miss stamina, at 26. Taking my build out to 40, I found I had plenty of slots for adding end reducers to things.

Force bolt needs an acc. and recharge SO to make it really good for this job. If you want to use it in PvP I'd take two acc. enhancers, since accuracy is only 50% against other players.

The two shield buffs - these are the two things that really chew up my endurance. I'm slotting them 3 def buff and 2 end redux. Also, while buffing, I find that they recharge fast enough that by the time one has applied, the other is ready, so lose the recharge enhancer in deflection shield.

Hasten I can't really getting much use out of, unless you have plans for it later? Still, it's better than Flurry!

Throw some more slots at Dispersion Bubble when you can, you certainly get more return out of that than Maneuvers.

applying speed boost to pets can be a pain.

    [/ QUOTE ]

But the effects are worth it

You want to try being the /kin corruptor on an 8 person team, the rest of whom are MM .... my poor mouse hand.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Being a bubbler I feel your pain! I've got a cunning bind to do both bubbles with just one key press, but it's still a lot of work (and end!)

    Naming minions

My robots are a kinda wild west gang - The Red Right Hand Gang

    Drones:
    Crazy Jake
    Loco
    Wild Bill

    Probots:
    Doc Painless
    Whiskey Bob

    Assbot (hehe):
    Big Dave
  11. Against the Lost, bots should do pretty well, since they get a great whacking (almost) 50% psi resistance, and some pretty nice mez protection. Against the Freaks is a little harder, since you don't have great/any resistance to the damage types they use - smashing/energy you have no resistance to, lethal you get some.
As for not lasting long in melee, well, melee attacks tend to hit much harder! The things I'm currently facing, my drones tend to get one shotted in melee, poor little guys
  12. An obviously awesome chap (Narcissus) over on the US boards did some testing. Numbers ain't very encouraging to be honest

    Linky linkage

Forcefields are poopy! That makes me sad.

If that's 4 defence buff SOs, you're going over the ED cap - stick with 3 to be most efficient.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You were right about that, thanks to your advice, i slotted for 3 and i think that my bots and me are getting hit less than before. Thanks.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Groovy!
Just the other day I went to buy some DOs - went for damage, bough 4 of them and stuck them into my protector bots.
Then I realised I bought SOs! Noooo! Wasted a whole SO!
I thought they were a little on the expensive side

But now I've got my Assault Bot! Maybe things will change

    [/ QUOTE ]

And i've seen the Assault Bot in action Swarm Missiles and Incendry Swarm Missiles for the win!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    They're just so... Stompy!

    /em drool
  15. [ QUOTE ]
Very true, but then my minions don't get their buffs from me whilst im in PFF and don't recieve their inherent buff either, so running Maneuvers and Tactics would be a waste of time

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's a tradeoff - sometimes it's safe to go without PFF, but as soon as someone turns their attention on you, you should turn it on unless you can keep them a good distance from you. At least with tactics no-one is gonna sneak up on you!

I've tried PvP and I suffer from two things - low DPS, and lack of crowd control, so pretty much anything can run away. But now I've got my Assault Bot! Maybe things will change
  16. Personally, I'd get PFF as soon as you can - in your team in a box, you're the weakest member. People just go for you and ignore the bots, so try not to give them an easy time of it! Tactics is wonderful - the extra perception you get from it is a godsend, and still works when you're in your PFF.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
What about combining invis with grant invis? Then there's a big crowd of invisible deeeeeewm and you can stay near them for the initial alpha strike :3

    [/ QUOTE ]

That would make a nice surprise for someone in PvP =D
  18. Irradiator_EU

    MM vs PvP

get the Stealth pool, take grant invis for your pets, and invisibility for yourself after. Phase Shift will also be useful to you.
  19. Irradiator_EU

    MM vs PvP

Go invis or phase shift, or or some other way to make it hard to get you. I'll be using personal forcefield myself. Unfortunatly that's the only thing I can think of, since MMs are super squishie
  20. If that's 4 defence buff SOs, you're going over the ED cap - stick with 3 to be most efficient.
  21. Just wondering what the defence value from their bubbles is? And does slotting them for defence improve this?
  22. YOu can live without dispersion bubble for a bit - it gives you and anything in it a little mez protection, and some all round defence, but not a huge ammount.
PFF is excellent! Almost makes you invulnerable, but it does mean that things like the leadership powers, dispersion bubble and your inherant power won't affect the pets. Situational, but certainly worth it. Excellent for PvP, where people are likely to ignore the pets

yep i got kick but that was because i wanted s j , but flurry could be ideal . will be trying that
hehe u guys are ruthless . i like it

    [/ QUOTE ]

What's all this talk of flurry? It's a pants attack, especailly so for building Fury - it has a rediculous animation time, and does pants damage. Since it's only one attack, it won't help building fury much, and the animation time might even lose you some.

    [/ QUOTE ]

if u go back to earlier quotes u find that the idea is to save endurance whilst building up a fury , most of the powers in the pool are high end and fairly longissh recharge .flurry on auto will activate every other attack, saving u a whole lot of endurance whilst building a fairly reasonble fury .

as for me i recomend it . the brawl tip worked , that now been replaced by the flurry , no doubt later on flurry will be respectted out , if a better option comes up

can also recomend reading all the posts b4 jumping on a band wagon to which ur only half informed

    [/ QUOTE ]

I did real the whole post, my comments are entirely relevant on the issue of building rage, but the enforced endurance rest while the animation plays out isn't something I considered. Mind you, on my dark scrapper, if I get stuck in that animation and want/need to do something else I find it highly annoying and occasionally deadly.

Brute attacks taunt the enemy they hit. That has been confirmed by a dev, and is WAI.

    [/ QUOTE ]

wow, that really leaves tankers screwed over in the inherant power department. Hum.
