  1. I'm trying to decide whether to take this power at the moment, and one thing I was wondering is what affects it accuracy? I'm pretty sure that aim helps out quite nicely, but does the -def of Irradiate and the +acc of tactics?

    Cheers
  2. yeah, good idea. If you need a punch-bot (or a darkest night user) then I'll give you a hand if I'm around. I'll just say that I was using my corruptor at the time, and there have been instances in the past of powers being bugged for one AT and not another (eg Lingering Radiation).
  3. Heya,

After trying this out over a few nights, and comparing it with the effect that radiation infection has, RI seems to be way more effective yet that should not be the case, right? Of course peoples slotting could well have been different so I might just be imagining things, but I might also be right. Does anyone else find it doesn't help you out that much?

    Flurry??

I could give you a poke in the eye - that'd be better than flurry
  5. My guide

There be my guide - I'm not sure how many people will see it there cos of all the forums we have these days. I certainly don't look there any more if I'm looking for info on a particular AT or power.
Anyway, take a gander and I hope it's useful.
  6. I had mine 2 slotted for a long time and with only one accuracy in my attacks it was not enough. I just have it 3 def, 2 taunt, 1 endredux these days.
  7. I think 2 end reductions in each power is a huge exaggeration. Quick Recovery gives a better end boost than stamina does, and most ATs can't even take both stamina and QR and they do perfectly OK, often without any end reduction slotting. Given claws reputation as a low end set I should be able to get away with just QR. I'll still likely get hurdle at least, and maybe health simply cos I like them

    Weave / SR query

It's highly amusing that combat jumping is about as effective as the 4th power in the fighting pool, while using a tiny fraction of the end
  10. Oh yeah, I was gonna take the other powers, I like them Maybe I'll just play by ear, but it'd be nice to hear from someone who's tried it.
  11. Hey there!

Just rolled one of these after seeing regen do some amazing things yesterday and I was wondering if you can get away with not taking stamina? Quick recovery gives a better end recovery boost than stamina, and claws is supposed to be a low end set. Whatchoo think, punks?

    Cheers
  12. Heya, just had a quick look at your build and I'd say, if you need extra powers and slots then get rid of boxing and tough. Your S/L resist is pretty darn great anyway. Oh, and for small attacks to build up Fury, I find brawl and jab chain very nicely together without the need for things like punch, boxing etc. I'd still go for air superiority, since that's a smart attack (maybe). Anyway, if you can fit them in, I'd suggest taking the two passive resists just to take some of the bite out of elemental and energy attacks. You're currently very susceptible to them.
Anyway, whatever works for you really. Most of my inv and SS comes from playing a tank so it might be quite different
  13. Council wolves also have resistance/immunity to slow

From the US boards, truly a genius suggestion.

    SMASH!

    Better idea than sliced bread!

I want it EVERY TIME I do an attack at 90%+ fury
  15. for a stone tank, tp is a great thing to take allowing you to move quickly while in granite. Take hover to go with it if you can fit it in anywhere.
  16. 3 hours is easily enough time. Make sure that the team has a level spread as small as possible and you'll do fine.
  17. Whoa! Hold on there! You gotta get Radiation Infection! It's possibly the best power in the entire set! Fit it with 3 tohit debuffs, an endredux or two as well and you're well away.
If you've got Fallout I'd suggest getting rid of it, unless you have a friend who spends a lot of time face down
I have used choking cloud in the past and it's excellent in PvE but in PvP it's a waste of time - it applies the hold every 5sec and that's just far too long. It's also just another toggle to bring back up when you get mezzed.
When you get EMP you will love it! It's got high accuracy, long duration and a HUGE area. The area is so large that you're likely to get yourself into trouble with it the first few times you use it

As for rad blast, the good powers are neutrino bolt and cosmic burst (must have!). X-ray eyes has a huge cool factor but I find it messes up attack chains so I'm getting rid of it ASAP.
If you want to go AoE, Irradiate is a must (that has a nice acc. bonus and largest defence debuff) and one of the other two AoEs. I took Neutron Bomb but I didn't like the animation time so I got rid. I hear electron haze has a longer animation but does quite a bit more damage. With just Neutron Bolt, cosmic burst and irradiate you have great single target damage and can lay a little AoE down too, that's my plan anyway.

As for power pools, I've gone for leadership, but only to get tactics so I can see stalkers easier. I might get rid of that now since all stalkers seem to get the stealth pool, making them totally invisible. Oh, and STAMINA! You must have that right? Get it! Now! Or Else!

The beauty of rad/rad is it's versatility. You can do sooo much - controlling, healing, buffing, debuffing, blasting
  18. Thanks! Taking in what you've said, my build is a lot more managable now. I was going to have all 3 holds, but like you say, that's overkill and there are other ways of dealing with those that have mez protection. Still, there are more powers I want to take - let us get to 50! Screw the epics!

  19. So true! About the end usage and the number of options. I tried putting a build together up to 40 and I just don't have the slots or number of powers I want! So far I'm at 18 with Haz-Mat and I've got the 3 single target blasts, a hold, tar patch and the lovely debuff. Any suggestions where to take this build? He was going to be geared towards PvP but having been confused by so may powers I want to play with I have no idea where to take him!
  20. As crazy as it seems, I hear ice is the bestest tank up until 32, so maybe go with that!

l even ammend the suggestion I made earlier. The problem isn't Hide. The problem is Assassin's Strike made from Hide because people can't fight back. Drop Assassin's Strike's interruptible period to 1 second, 4 second interrupt in PvE on a melee power serves absolutely no purpose. Make all stealth powers suppress as soon as you click it in PvP. Everyone gets 1 second to stop themselves from being insta-ganked, but you can gather +perception if you want more warning than that. Stalkers don't get an automatic "I win" against anyone that doesn't have the rare build necessary to see them, but when properly stalking, a 1-second window is more than enough.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's a pretty silly suggestion. 1s is nowhere near enough, given animation times of pretty much everything.
  22. The melee attacks, energy punch and bone smasher will help a hell of a lot with their toggle dropping goodness.
Dealing with MOG might be a little tough - maybe an aim+buildup and some big attack like bonesmasher would do the trick

    Maybe...
  23. Irradiator_EU

    Dear Corruptors,

I would try to dissuade you from using the dark blast set - I've not seen very many powers in there that I like the look of. There are 2 cones, tentacles and a pure damage one, that are good and I hear the snipe is nice as snipes go but the rest of the set is kinda poop. It needs some dev lovin'. The fire/dark is a great combo, and with the heal and debuffs teams will love you.

As for AM and hasten, there's no way you can perma it any more. You really really need stamina with the rad emission set.
  24. Stick with your strengths, and Burning stuff is your strengths. You've just got to find the right way to burn em.

    That is all
  25. Hmmm, there's an ice tanker power(s) that give resistance to slow. I think it's the crappy passive one that people don't tend to take, and maybe another one.
