  1. I agree about the tail, unless he's just spotted something he wants to pounce on. (Although the pose seems to indicate that he's stretching rather than coiling.) But all in all that's a cool drawing.
  2. Ha! Those look great!

I'd just like to point out that the genius behind that particular idea was the Scottish hack Mark Millar, not an American.

How is it any different to the reign of the catgirl/vampire/preatorean/clone/evil twin et cetera?

    Answer: It is not.

    [/ QUOTE ]

actually, it is, the Norse Mythology is a old religion, then again, everyone slaughters religions anyway, it's just an annoyance of mine, even CoH is mockign old religions, with Statesman having gained powers from greek mythology, Tor and such is from norse mythology, catgirls, would be in the same genre if they clamed to be a decendant of Bast, Vampires with the claim of being Dracula, Alucard and the such, there's a diffrence of making something similar, and directly ripping off something

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's my opinion that every religion needs a good swift kick in the pants. If it can't survive that, it isn't a valid religion.

  7. It's pretty good. Suits the song well. A few close-ups would be beneficial next time, which demoeditting will help. I look forward to the next one.
  8. Holy canoli! How much does Sizzler pay?!
  9. The absolute cheapest price I've ever found (from a professional studio that will guarantee a specific turn-around time) is $799 for 8 and $1,999 for 22 black and white pages. (That's $99 and $90 per page, respectively.)

    compleat?

It's "Complete" unless I am being retarded about something.

    Also: Great job.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Fine, I guess there's just no room in this world for creative spellers I THINK OUTSIDE THE BOCKS!

Thanks though... and the subject line has been edited to a less creative and infinitely more boring form of compleat.

And thanks all for the complements! I'm glad the piece is well liked

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, not to put too fine a point on it, "compleat" is an entirely different word from "complete" and, despite being a homophone (a word that sounds like another word but is spelled differently, such as "to," "two" and "too"), has an entirely different meaning.

"Compleat" means "accomplished." Probably the most famous use of the word is in the book The Compleat Angler, one of the most enduring works ever written. (It was first published more than 350 years ago, just after Shakespeare's time, just to give you an idea of how popular it's been.)

I assume you know what "bocks" are. Some people drink them with fish; some, like fish.

  16. White Peregrine: "Nitecrow is here. These thugs have no idea the danger they're in, now. She's a heroine, but she walks a razor's edge, and I don't trust her judgement. For her, violence is the first, best option. Considering how she grew up -- and what happened to her family -- it's understandable. But not excusable.

"She is the yin to my yang, the moon to my sun. She is the night to my day.... Poetic musings aside, she's the love of my life, my ex-wife. This will be messy."
  17. Since they're both heroes, a story about them working together, perhaps flirting (or even falling in love) and then having a falling-out because their attitudes and styles are too different would work.

White Peregrine is appalled by Nitecrow's extremism, while she sees him as soft. However, they're both on the same side and at the end of the day their goals are the same. Any story would have to show that WP has a backbone of steel, he just refuses to cross the line of killing, while NC's motivations and backstory have led her to brutally dispensing justice.

That way you don't have the problem of WP being too goody-goody or NC being too dark. She's a hero, after all, and he needs to be tough when it's called for. The motivations of each have to be understandable while their conflict has to be reasonable. Few things can do that as well as a relationship gone bad.

She's my new illusion/storm controller. I haven't written her in-game bio yet, but she got her name from a comment made by a rescued mugging victim after she made the wind blow hard enough to pin the thug to a wall until police arrived. Bonus points to anyone who knows where I -actually- got the name (hint: it's from a movie).

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I like her hair.

Movie quote, hmm... "nifty trick" is a common saying, so it's hard to tell where this might be from, as there must be lots of movies with it.
  20. Interesting. Not the least reason because I've not seen that hairstyle on the female side before.
