I think I will add to her backstory that she plays guitar in a metal band.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Very Borderlands. Like she stepped out of the bad part of town in DeLint's Newford. (Nice pic, too.)
  2. Say, this stuff is the coolness.

This is probably the ONLY thing I have drawn this year.

Which makes it the worst AND best!
    Gawd I suck.

I need to buy some Depends because I keep peeing my pants a little bit every time I open this thread.

    That's hella funneh!

    Ink a day ?

Since Alex is cool with it, I'd ove to see Slaughtermouse get the Spinomania treatment if you get around to it.

I did some minor quickie erasing of lines, but got distracted by the Alt Alphabet thing.

Alright all. I had a blast drawing a number of commissions and requests last year, and although I'll probably start that up again soon - I'm planning on doing something different for 2007.

Every month I'm going to be choosing one character and doing up a "calendar shot" of them.

For January, I have chosen YELLOW WOLF .

Now here is the fun part... I want a character for February. So, I would like it if you posted screenies of your characters during the next month and I will choose from that lot.

Every month I'll hold a giveaway like this. If you're not chosen for that month, feel free to enter the next (remember though, only 1 will be chosen per month).

Also, to increase your chances, make sure you post up a decent set of shots ( something akin to this ) and keep the calendar as your desktop for the month (that's right, I have ways of knowing!!!)

I hope everyone thinks this is cool, and I'd like it if you encourace your team mates to try.

    See you next month.

Man, I have a lot of catching up to do!

Awesome idea, Jug! Turns out I have a lot of characters, any one of whom are totally calendar material.

Miss Ann Thropic has a whole anti-Valentine's Day thing going on, if you're in to counterprogramming.
  6. Very nice!

Did Santa drop a bag of cash on you?
  7. I think I peed my pants a little, D-ster.
  8. The first one's not horrible... but the second is pretty freakin' sweet.

You win teh intarwebs, you know that?

I must try this activity. But it'll take a LONG TIME. I don't have screenies of every one of my toons in the login area!

Just wait 'til you discover that you need to log into the CoV side to get the red background for the bad guys....

I pretty much said the same thing when I had to resort to using an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of them all.

    The Alt Alphabet

Hi gang! I'm back! Hope you all had a good holiday and got what you wanted, or at least what you deserved.

I have one of the worst cases of altitis on record, and realized a few months ago that I'd created characters starting with each letter of the alphabet. Yes, it's that bad. Bear in mind that the toons you see below aren't all of the ones I've made, just the recent ones I've played. (I told you it was a bad case.)

The next key update is done.

If you see yourself not labeled, please tell me, and I can easily add 'em.

    Clilcky the clickity, please.

Striking Speedster isn't in there. That's Air Force next to Farwielder.

I can see why there's confusion, as young master Speedy's costume does bear a "striking" resemblance to my guy ceated during CoH beta, Air Force. It's the "peak" costume pattern that gives it away. Plus Alex said.
  13. Both are very cool. I'm going to keep my (evil) eye on this.
  14. Cool find, Far. Randomly clicking through those, I found this one, which I really like.

    wp : wip~

    Looking good, says I.
  16. I can't say for sure, but I don't think that's Striking Speedy in there... looks more like my guy, Air Force. Flying and all.

Some incremental changes can roll out without extensive testing, but I promise you there's a whole process that gears up to test an "issue"

    You pinky promise?

You know what... I bet in a few days after he 'goes thru the list' he's going to post who he has chosen, and then say that there's a mafia hitman after all of those people and we will be made dead in 3 days!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Heh, he'd have to do a heckuva lot of commissions to afford that. Not that I know anything about the pricing structure of certain legitimate businessmen who do favors for others, not me. Don't stereotype me just because I'm Italian.

Looking at the average for the fairly consistent numbers between I2 and I5, we were going at a little over three updates a year (117 days per update).
What does all this mean? I have no idea.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'll tell you what it means... that number, 117, has been following me around for more than 25 years. It's getting spooky.

    [/ QUOTE ]
That's really strange, although fnord probably just a coincidence. Once you start noticing it you just can't stop.

If you drop in the Release - I1 and I5-I6/CoV numbers, though, the average drops down to 92, so run with that if it helps.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Too late, it's out there.

I thought it might be a coincidence, too, but then I decided to write down every number I saw. That lasted a little less than a year and a half until I filled up a regular notebook. The most common number? 117.

Even when we went to Hawaii and I took a picture of all these mailboxes on Maui. Something like 50 of them on this Pi-shaped frame. Lots of numbers, right? Even if 117 was in there, it'd just be one of many. I didn't notice until we got home that not only was 117 there, but it was right in the center and the largest of all the numbers. (I was looking at the cows in the background, not the numbers on the mailboxes.)

Imagine how unsurprised I was when we moved to NH only to discover upon crossing the border into the state that nearly all the license plates in the Nashua area started with the number 117. Or that our first hotel room here was number 11 in building 7. And et cetera.
