  1. I was expecting hyperbole, but got wowzers instead. That's pretty dang sweet.
  2. And the plug-in is 8 Pounds, which is, what? 15 bucks American?

    Yep, still playing

also, the global channel we're using is "Paragon One"
Holler on this channel to get an invite.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Awesome.
  4. That's a good point, Shego. In the context of a comic, it would be clear that it isn't a giant, but as a lone image it can certainly give that impression.

Back in beta, we used to try and make it look like our toons were titans towering over the city, using the stand pose that would happen when there was a mapserver disconnect while flying.
  5. Are you guys still playing the Envisionaries? It's such a cool idea, and I have a notion for (yet another) new character who would fit in well. (Assuming I have a toon I can delete on Liberty.)

Edit: Also assuming you'd want to play with me. Is there a global channel?

None of my characters really fit any of the new costume drops...wings just really wouldn't make sense for any of my guys. I got a piston boots drop the other day, and really wanted to use it, so I created a new guy:

    Supercapacitor

He's an energy blaster. When I created him from scratch, I had the monstrous robotic claws for his feet...I honestly think I might like that look better than the piston boots...but at least I can actually use one of the drops now. I'll have to get him some rocket boots to play with next.

I want Piston Boots for my namesake, Ironik. He's a Superjumping armored Scrapper, so the boots make sense for him.

    Still here! Thanks GMs!

So I re-upped last night. No, I didn't make any new characters (I'll do that later today, probably). I did mess about with the flight poses, though. Fun!

I'd guess everyone has probably done this to death, but it's new to me, so...

Three of my guys flying. Top to bottom: Air Force, Gyrfalcon Prime and Photon X. Fwoosh!

    Gyrfalcon Prime at Moonrise.

This is the final product of a piece I requested from Guildhelper .

    Victory Heroes

    Thanks you so much Guildhelper!

    Say, that's superkeen!
  9. Happy day of thy birth, o mighty hunter of art. May you line the pockets of artists for many moons to come.
  10. Original and cool. Thumbs up!
  11. One of my recent favorites is Monster Child. He's a bit different from most of my other characters in that he unleashes the inner demon when he goes into battle by literally turning into the creature.

The boy is Darren Childe and the demon is called Vulgara. I think he might be interesting to draw.

    The bio is very short.

    Something like that:

"Some mutants are lucky, they are blond millionaire playboys and got nice white feathered wings.
Some like me are less lucky and grow the wings of a fly and have the body covered with little black hairs.
I look like a freaking fly, for God sake ! I even have to hide my face under that stupid helmet."

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I like it.

I'm anxious to craft bug wings for my character Fly Girl. I created her especially in anticipation of being able to do that.

...plus the cehrub wings for my Cupid guy...

...and the butterfly wings for my multicolored dragon villain...

...and the dragon wings for my gargoyle toon...

    ...clearly I need help.

Next up are the anthros and furries. A lot more of these than I thought -- guess things in the character creator got a little wild. Ha! Get it? Ahem. Sorry.

Gloryhound -- He's still a little sketchy, but he's a merchant marine who was experimented on in the Rogue Isles. I just hadn't gotten around to putting that in his bio.

    KittyKittyBangBang -- Catgirls are evil.

Kung-Pow Chicken -- The bird is the word. Man, folks LOVE the chicken! I think she's a hoot, but I was surprised by the reaction. Once people wrap their heads around the fact that this is the only time you can really use the huge male body to represent a female character, they really enjoy goofing on the name. There's something about this character that brings out the best -- or worst -- in my sense of humor. I was single-handedly responsible for an 8-man team wipe because, and I quote, "You have us laughing too hard!!" Some people don't get the dirty joke in the bio, but that's okay. As Joel from MST3K once said, "It's okay if not everyone gets it -- the right people will."

Razor Raccoon -- I'm sure there must be some, but I've never seen a raccoon-themed toon yet. Lots of pandas and even a stray teddy bear or two, but no raccoons. I'm telling you, there's something about striped pants that people love. As with Yuletide Carol, literally minutes after logging in to Atlas Park RR won a costume contest.

SonicDeathMunky -- I should reroll him, since we can now have 20 letters. I wonder if anyone gets the reference?

Space-Monkey -- He has his own theme song! This is a Kheldian reroll of my original toon. While I was monkeying about in the character creator, I lost the name. Hence the hyphen. D'oh! Now I only reroll characters 15 minutes before daily maintenance.

Tora Toro -- I love the crazy, wide-open, uneasy multiculturalism of Brazil. All that Native American, Portugese, Spanish and Japanese goodness mixed into one crazy carnivale. So it's only natural a hero from that part of the world represents the fiesty melting pot of Brazil. Tora is "tiger" in Japanese, and Toro is "bull" in Spanish. (It's "touro" in Portugese, but it goes better in Spanish.)

Zibet -- No, civets aren't cats. They're related to the mongoose. Less kitty-kitty-kitty and more Riki Tiki Tavi.

I have a couple others, like the Brute named Tigermech -- half man, half tiger, half cyborg. But I forgot to get screenshots of them. Then there's good ol' Manila Gorilla and Dru's Other Monkey. Manila got himself deleted to make way for a new guy, while Dru's Other Monkey is an in-joke in my SG.

Even though I can't post after today, I an still read the boards, so I hope you guys add some alphabetical screenshots (now with biographies!) of your own for me to peruse in the coming weeks as I play nursemaid to the little woman.

So... this is Ironik, signing off. Toodles!

    The Alt Alphabet

Okay, my sub is up today, so a couple last posts before I go. I'm pausing because my wife is having double knee replacement surgery on the 12th, so we're going to be busy dealing with that. I don't know when I'll be back, but hopefully not too long from now.

First up is the Alt Alphabet Holiday collection. These are my various charatcers designed around specific holidays. (Okay, that was redundant.) I've left out Sandy Claws because frankly his name bores me. He's soon for the delete pool, I think. (I have a keen idea I'm wanting to try along the lines of Monster Child, but it will require taking a toon from 0 to 45, so it'll have to be later in the year.)

Jackal Lantern -- Didn't create him until after Halloween was over, but he's set up for the next one.

The Love Cherub Cupid -- Did you know Cupid's parents are Venus and Mars? When mom and dad are the personifications of Love and War, you've got assume they're going to have a weird kid. This guy needs the cherub wings for full effect, but these will do for now.

Lucky the Leprechaun -- St. Patrick's Day is bigger at my mom's house than Christmas, New Year's and the 4th of July combined. Something to do with her being Irish, I suppose. For dear old mom, lucky is likewise from her ancestral home, County Galway. Lucky's a bit of a drinker. As me mother says, "I only drink when there's something to celebrate: sun comes up, sun goes down...." Sometimes stereotypes are true for a reason.

Ol' Uncle Sam -- Fervor, thy name is Samuel. I wish the pants were more pinstripe and less baseball, but hey, baseball's as American as apple pie, right? Interesting how holidays and top hats go together.

Yuletide Carol -- And of course, everyone's favorite songbird, Carol. Hmm, seems striped pants are part of holiday tradition, too.
  17. They both look great, so it's like choosing from awesome and awesomer, but I, too, like that Iron Chancellor one the best. Great pose, great look, great execution. No pun intended, as it looks like that's the last thing you see before *grrk*.
  18. I really like those shots. The combination of the light and the aura make it look like she's (it's?) in the harsh, cold light of winter. Nice!

I like the bio, too. I assume you're explaining the battle cry at the end there.

    Finally Fifty

    Those colors are very cool.
  20. That's freakin' sweet! [/petergriffin]

    Thanks man, that is awesome!
