When I saw the topic title, I thought you where talking about the old 3D effects with red and blue glasses.

    for these: 1, 2 , 3.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd like to do those, too, but I don't have the program to do it. Plus I can't find my 3D glasses, so I can't see yours. Sadness.

Smaller parallel view with more separation.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No no. They need to be closer together, not farther apart. I'm quite experienced in viewing stereograms, but it's just not possible to unfocus that much to view it unless you sit very far back. At which point, it's not worth it to try.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Try # 3.

I've been able to do it for all four of these versions. I'm starting to think you have special-needs eyeballs.
  3. I can do the small one. I'll make a smaller one just in case.
  4. Although I'm an utter novice, I enjoy doing some stereo photography in real life (think Viewmaster but better), so I thought I'd take my hobby to Paragon City. I'm just tickled that it worked. This is a shot of my Scrapper Razor Raccoon chillaxin' in Atlas Park.

Cross-eyed viewing -- just like it sounds: cross your eyes until the pictures overlap.

    Jumbo cross-eyed version.

Smaller parallel view with more separation.

Parallel viewing -- let your eyes unfocus (try looking in the distance, then look at the screen without re-focusing) and let the two images merge.

    Jumbo parallel version.

  6. Hmm, I think the lead story should have mentioned that the Steel 70 thing happened on Test and that the strategy employed has already been negated by the Devs. That would've been a more complete story. Perhaps next week's lead story can be a follow-up, to clarify those points. Otherwise people might get the idea this is a guide of sorts.

If you want to try for the same immersion, you ought to use the gambit of "the Rikti have countered the Steel 70's strategy by employing force fields which negate slowing powers." It might lend an air of verisimilitude to do it that way.

And ouch: "Where us 70..." It should be "we." Remember it this way: "We happy few, we band of brothers..." Let Willy the Shake be your guide.

Edit: Looks like others have already mentioned the Steel 70 thing.

Ah, very nice, Marcian. Your journey is complete... welcome to the cool kids' table.

(We art-appreciators are the cool kids. The artists sit at the cooler kids' table. )
  8. If you put those side by side, I'll bet they'd be in 3D.

Nope I'm only 5'8" And those are cool Marcian.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I couldn't actually tell how tall you are... I was doing the Snake Plissken thing. (L.A., not NY. NY's better, but I thought that quote overly harsh. )
  10. I like that, a lot! Plus, it's always nice to see a video that uses something else besides heavy metal music.
  11. That is very nice of Obby, and... waitwaitwait - Rowr's engaged? She follow a dude home after he bought some catnip, or what?

    what is this?

    [ QUOTE ]
Anyone seen this one? I was playing around with some scripting and had started with 64 Ms. Libertys in an 8 x8 pattern and was then going throuigh and replacing each Libby with a different toon and I saw this one on one of my test viewings.

It kind of looks like you forgot to take out the toon you meant to replace, so they're occupying the same space. Give them different MOV commands and you might see them more clearly.
  14. Many Inspirations used to be different.

I recently dusted off my Grav/Empathy Controller (the second or third character I originally made way back in CoH's beta) and started playing her again. (It took me 28 months to go from level 8 to level 9.) However, I discovered she still possessed an original Discipline Inspiration.

You know what I think my favorite thing about this incredible, incredible list is? Not a Single one of your toons appears to have a number sequence in its name. They are all so creative and I love it, kudos to you!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Thanks.

Similar to Obsidi-Anne, my most recent alt is called "Industrielle."
  18. Is that a nova, or are you just happy to see them?

Edit: Hm, maybe I shouldn't look at Gamma Girl's art *first*.

Ooh ooh, me, please! I am a total font freak!

What do we do -- just write the letters/symbols down, scan them and PM the link to you?
  20. NSFW!

You certainly do put the "tart" in Deviantart.
  21. Cool pic, grats. I also dig the punny name.
