I know I'm not the only one from New Hampshire. Where are you, Granite Staters? 603 represent.

Those with first hand experience will back me 100%.
Ladybugs bite. They bite hard. In a side by side with red (not fire) ants, I'd rather be bitten by the ant. Spring is a bad time of year to be around them. They get snotty and mean. -
Quote:You mean the chance to create ANOTHER 700 alts?I'd love to make this a poll, but can't find how, so I'll just ask.
If all your characters were deleted, your veteran status, everything (even forum posts), and you had to start from scratch, would you still continue to play this game, or would it be too much of a setback?
How do you think I'm going to vote on that? -
Appreciate the effort, but definitely feed the family first *then* quench our thirst for knowledge.
I, too, would like to know about the plans (if any) for the moonbase or space station.
Also, what was the deal with Battalion? Backstory, artwork, etc.
Were there plans to actually build new things where the various workers have been toiling for years? (Such as by the north tram in Steel.)
How were the Menders and Ouroborus going to shake out?
-- Was Mender Silos "our" Lord nemesis, or was he from another Earth? -
Cheers, mate, Was just in Praetoria, enjoying it again.

I only have one request:
Tell me everything that was being planned. -

Cool, it works! Nine people already.
Under "View" you can choose "Show List" to see who's added themselves. -
Edit: This is a world-wide map, just FYI.

Here's hoping this works. This is an interactive map where you can place your location. I've never tried it before, so it's an experiment.
On the upper left it says "Additions" where you can choose a colored marker. I added mine in Blue, for hero.

The font is called Red Circle and is available on all the big free font sites.

Thanks for the help, you guys. I haven't done any demorecording since 2005. Just saying that stuns me. Time flies.
Speaking of flying clocks, I played my first video game 38 years ago. Pong at The Village Inn Pizza in Dayton, Ohio. I wish I had a photo of THAT. -
Airhead has used shots from the costume creator to combine his characters before I told him of the wonders of demoedit. You can see the excellent combos he's made in the "Favorite Costume" thread. Those mostly require a lot of patience. AE is a nice end-run, but it's sometimes hard to get decent group shots. I actually had two more of my toons in that AE mission, but I never got a decent shot with them all together.
I really like the font you used for Mother Sun. What is that? (I'm kind of a font junkie.) Also, "Notta Planet" is funny. But sad. I'm actually wearing my "Pluto ~ 1930-2006 ~ Revolve in Peace" t-shirt. -
Quote:I am terribly sorry for your loss. That's heartbreaking. My wife Zantana, from Liberty.
She disappeared while traveling out of the country for her work in 2004. No one knows what happened to her; she just never came back to her hotel one night. It never made national news, but it certainly left a hole in my heart. I still have the last email she sent me right before she left; it's never left my inbox and never will.
We were married August 6th, 2004, on Ithaca Island, surrounded by family and friends. I cherish the time I spent with her in this online world, and I have and always remain faithful to my first and foremost partner. I'll get the costume code out of the AE mission I made in tribute to her and post it here as soon as I can.
Thank you, Michelle. Your videos have been amazing over the years, and I appreciate you taking the time to do at least one more for our fallen brothers and sisters. -
Yeah, I re-created a number of my characters to be allies in an AE mission. It was a blast fighting alongside my other toons.
I played this mission on Justice with my DB/WP guy Capt. Blood. Left to right is Industrielle (Guardian), Tomi Gunn (Virtue), Air Force (Liberty) and Ironik (Guardian).
I haven't done any demoediting in years, but basically it was just trial-and-error to place things properly. Push the camera coordinates a little here, see how it looks, add in another character over there, see how it looks. It was a bit too clunky for me to really enjoy mastering it, but now I wish I had.
A couple simple shots I made way back in 2005 using Zloth's program:

Planetside 2, maybe, but I didn't really care for the first one. It's not an MMO, really, just a persistent FPS. For FPS fun, I think Tribes Ascension looks better.

Quote:I was on as Monster Child.I took about 7 minutes of video looking through people's costumes and profiles on Virtue. I did it in HD so that the text would come through properly. Fraps split it up into multiple parts because of the massive file size, but it'll be worth it when I look back a year from now.

Amazing, Shazzie. It is odd which threads were saved and which weren't.

Quote:I was thinking the same thing about that song. I need some depth of field, though.So.....I haven't told anyone this yet, but.....the last project I wanted to work on was a cover of "Call Me Maybe" with COH.
I'm just saying you know.....sure would be nice if someone made my dream come true..... -
Quote:No, he's right. CO *is* ugly. Beyond ugly, it's fugly. It's also insulting with its terrible attempts at comedy, with an entire game written by people who think superheroes and comic books are idiotic. CoH does show its age, but it's a decent-looking game.As little offense intended by this as possible, but you sound unpleasable to me. You're just finding things to complain about ((Star Wars small and boring. Really? Did you even get past the tutorial planets? And CO. Ugly. You've been playing CoH for years...)) and aren't even really trying to get into anything.
On the one hand, I can't blame you. CoH is one of my favorites. But on the other, you've gotta give a little sometimes.
I'll second that SW:TOR is boring. It's just incredibly tedious. Just thinking about it fills me with ennui.
And Fantasy-themed games just don't excite me. It just feels like well-chewed meat. A Fantasy novel has to be really good to interest me at all, and so far no Fantasy game I've found rises to the level of even the most mediocre Fantasy novel. -
Quote:Seconded.Love you guys!
Maybe I'll finally find the time to finish up some of my pages and characters that I never got around to doing right.
Thanks so much for providing us with Virtueverse. One of my greatest enjoyments from the community, no doubt.
I've loved Virtueverse from the start; when I was younger I eagerly bought the Handbook of the Marvel Universe because I loved reading stuff like that.
I only have a couple of my characters up there. I start reading other people's bios and before I know it I've lost two hours. I feel like Matthew Broderick's character in WarGames: "I never got around to it, okay? I always thought there was gonna be plenty of time!" -
Oh my god. The first vid uses DoF as a rack focus. (The Penny Yin stuff starting at 1:19.)
Please let us have that. Please oh please. -
Here's the oldest one of mine. I wonder if someone archived the beta forums? Those would be an interesting read.

Quote:I'd forgotten about that thread, even though I made Tpull's icon for him.*checks date*
Oh. That.. that explains that. haha
Actually my oldest post (that I actually wrote) was in tpull's Journal of a First-Time MMO Player thread, dated March of '05. Over seven years ago. Yowza.
Here be the thread, it's a good read: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...112810&page=20 -
Quote:So it was YOUR fault!I just want to thank you again for the awesome work you did on the dolls I received from you. I was beyond happy when I got them, and given the recent news, I'm even more so happy. I'll always have a momento of my favorite character and it will just reinforce the memories I have of my COH life.
So again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Edit//
I was going through my Facebook and came across this:
As I said, I'm grateful for your work
While you're at it, can you use that wishing power so that we each get a million bucks?
And wish the game back into existence?
