Most Recognizable Server Toon: Forcefire, Carkabell, Sinara although none are probably all that known

Known enough. I recognize Carkabell. -
Thank you all for the birthday sentiments.
The drawing is very nice, LadyJudgement. I have indeed downloaded it. Thank you. -

So I got pictures of him with the Jingle Jet and the Particle Cannon, and then the Kraken was sited, so we ran over and blasted the kraken with the particle cannon.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nice screenshots and thanks for the 'jingle jet'.
And, in case anyone was wondering, the Particle Cannon didn't even aggro the Kraken. I didn't really expect it to do any damage, but I thought it would at least get his attention. (He's aggroed in the later pic because people charged when I opened up on him and the Particle Cannon has like a 15 second animation.) -

team buffs have a mechanics problem. Teams vary in size from 1-8 so a buff that applies to everyone on the team is multiplied in effectiveness from 1x to 8x. Either a buff is useless for small teams or godmode for large teams - or both.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't see it this way at all. Assembling a team where you have all the right buffs and debuffs is a tremendous pain. If you're willing to go through the effort (you and the other seven players), this is like the MMORPG version of assembling a 'hand-picked team of highly trained agents'. If the players are willing to put in the effort and coordinate with each other on their builds and power selections then, yes, they should reap the reward of being extraordinarily effective in battle.
A PUG of 8 random defenders is NOT going to decimate their enemies. -
Looking at it in isolation, I thought it was great. Having to team with the opposing faction is fun. Snaptooth is really tough, but if your team has both factions and you use the Dimension Drop powers, you can slap him around pretty good.
However, in the context of it being the same stuff as last year, meh.
My suggestion for next year: come up with some new missions and a new featured villain but have it linked or parallel to the Snaptooth mission. Have 4 or 5 rewards but give people the option of doing Snaptooth 5 times, the new one 5 times or some combination thereof. (i.e. both arcs end up with the same list of rewards.) -

Just as an FYI: Seems there is a common misconception about the "Nuke".
Read the descriptions carefully.
There are 3 types. None of them are damage dealers, they are buffs/de-buffs.
Ive gotten them all personally. Ive talked with many players that expected the nuclear payload to be high damage. It is EMP, not TNT. Drains endurance, not health.
Im not knocking the rewards. They are a lot of fun to get. I only want to set peoples expectations.

Are you serious? I mean, I figured that BIO and Chem are buff/debuff, but nuke says that it is extreme energy dot. Its just a debuff? must be a bug or some such.
Dont see why you have a nuke if you cant kill stuff with it.

I don't know if he's serious, but he's not correct. The nuke *IS* damage, and lots of it. -

I learned how to, for teleport rooms, raise our Tech Porters up 2 floor levels with 0 ceiling, and place the beacons BENEATH each Porter so there was no question which Porter the beacons applied to.
[/ QUOTE ]
*bonk* why didn't I think of that?!? Great idea, I'm stealing it!
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, but we didn't like the way the stairs look with that (arcane / stone stairs - dunno how tech looks). So we dropped the ceiling and put the beacons above each teleporter. You can just stand at the entrance to the room, angle your camera up slightly and pass the mouse pointer over each beacon to read them. -

Rebuttal: How can you hate a power with that cool an animation? That's right. You can't.
Therefore Moment of Glory is indeed, glorious. QED.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's fine. Only use it in Atlas to impress the noobs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, that is one good use for it. Another good use for it is to scare the bejesus out of the healer on your team who has never seen MoG in use. It scares them that some invisible attack just took 75% of your HP and now they can't heal you. Priceless. -

I probably had one of my best PuGs yesterday, doing the 34+ respec.
[/ QUOTE ]
I had an amazing experience on the lvl 44 respec. I got a tell from a lvl 50 in my SG that he was with a group planning to do the 3rd respec trial. I had not done it yet, and asked him if they were any good. He said he had only joined up a few minutes ago but they seemed okay, so I went along.
Holy cow. You know how you often expect someone who has gotten to lvl 50 to know what they're doing, but they often don't? These people did. I would say the WORST person on the team was way, WAY above average in terms of skill with their character and being part of a team. The best people were absolutely outstanding.
During the reactor segment, someone had a real-life crisis and had to go AFK for almost 10 minutes. No problems. Someone else had a crisis and AFK, no problem. The only death was my SG mate and his response to dying was, "Oops, when did I activate Unstoppable?" -

Below is my current build for 21st Century Paladin a BS/SR scrapper
[/ QUOTE ]
It seems to me that a paladin build (i.e. someone wearing heavy armor) should be based on damage resistance, rather than defense. Of course, that's a concept issue and not a build issue.
[ QUOTE ]
I realize it will all be a matter of opinion, and I wonder if I am on the right track while having only two attacks until lvl 18. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
[/ QUOTE ]
Broadsword has relatively long animation times and recharge times for the attacks. I think you really want to get your attacks as fast as you can (if I recall, I had my third attack at 4th level).
Also, broadsword and super reflexes both use a lot of END. It will be torture waiting for Stamina and you're giving yourself two extra levels worth of suffering by not getting it at 20.
FYI, I have a broadsword/regen scrapper. You get Quick Recovery (from the regen set) earlier than Stamina and it gives more boost to your END.
