'OMG, they're L50, the autoexemp must be bugged!'
"Guys, ITF has ALWAYS been L35-50 not L35-40"
'No, I've run it before and it autoexemped the 50's'
[/ QUOTE ]
This kind of stuff drives me nuts.
"So, are you lying, deranged or just stupid?" -
[ QUOTE ]
there is a thread about this in the badge forums
positron made another post stating there reasons that is alot clearer
[/ QUOTE ]
I didn't have a problem with the clarity of the original post. I just strongly disagree with the decision, particularly since some of the changes run counter to their stated reasons. -
Go to the main test server and go stand around by the new task force contact. That would likely be the highest activity area.
-
Maybe passwords are just wonky today? My password to get me onto the forums didn't work today and I guarantee I had it right (to the extent of typing it in Notepad and pasting it). I had to use the 'email me a temp password' link to get in.
-
Required question: Are you sure you didn't get the merits? I can't count how many times I failed to get the 'Merit Reward' or chat log spam, but got the merits anyway.

My global list is moderate-sized, I run two solo SGs (my own alts and maybe a smattering of others'), and I know... let's see here... at least ten people who had accounts temp banned.
Your experience is irrelevant.
[/ QUOTE ]
Of course it is. So is yours. Surely you understand that. -
Would you prefer it if, as soon as you step outside, they start crowding around you saying, "You are not of the body!"
Would that put you at ease? -

The explanation is pretty clear, those badges were encouraging behaviour they did not want enouraged in the MA, so they pulled em, to keep the MA in the future clear of purly badge farm type missions.
[/ QUOTE ]
They threw the baby out with the bathwater. They didn't need to remove anywhere near that many badges. Was anyone setting up farm missions to get the badge for 1,000 inspirations? As far as I can tell, that series could be earned by ANYONE from NORMAL play. -

Q: What are the general and specific causes of NTFSSS?
A: The general cause is being teamed with lower quality players in an unfamiliar Taskforce. Specific causes can be:
-Teammates who don't yet realize their build isn't up to snuff for the demands of a TF.
-Teammates who don't play their characters well.
-Teammates who are unable to recognize patterns and devise strategy.
-Teammates who just wont listen.
-Teammates lacking common sense.
-Teammates of a lower level being sidekicked up.
[/ QUOTE ]
You left out: -Teammates who have no concept of time and suddenly realize they have a RL obligation 20 minutes into the TF. -
Yes, that would be as you approach the AE building. I avoid that entire section of Atlas Park for that reason. The delay is caused by the server having to send you current status information about X number of players that are coming into render range.

We both have many friends that we keep in contact with, and regularly engage in pick-up groups. Neither of us has personal knowledge of anyone who has been banned from the game, let alone masses of innocent people. If there really were a lot, I simply cannot imagine that we wouldn't have run across someone.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm sure there are BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of them. My global list is huge, I run 3 SG's and I have spoken directly with exactly ONE person so far who got nailed (and freely admitted he deserved it). -

Second, because I am much more likely to be a long-term loyal subscriber and bring in others who will be loyal subscribers than people who play the game to "win" in a few weeks.
[/ QUOTE ]
Awesome, putting yourself in front of others. Isn't this like saying you are better than them?
[/ QUOTE ]
No, he's saying some players are not wanted even though their $15 spends like anyone else's. The RMT farmers pay $15 too (at least for SOME of the accounts they use) but they are not welcome here. I would imagine you'd find pretty broad agreement on that from both devs and players. -
[ QUOTE ]
That's good to hear. The following Saturday, it looks like we'll do the 1st Respec, and Katie Hannon the Saturday after. Both teams have been doing the task forces at an Invincible for the past few weeks, so we want to make sure we're mostly near level 34 for Katie.

oi... Mary McComber at level 39? -

One of the original farms using the comm officers had "Meow Meow Meow Meow Meow....." in the description I think. And from there I'm pretty sure people started calling it the "Meow Farm" Just because at the time the way it was set up was unique to many other farms (Before it caught on)
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I heard that explanation too. But I *PREFER* one of the other explanations I heard: The levels were coming so fast it was like a sports car going by... MMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!" -

Yeah I am def. going to check out the ST online game if they ever get it finished. Not a huge ST fan, but the whole "having your own ship" thing is kind of cool

I don't quite understand the "you were fun on tequila night AND on russian roulette night" part. Is that kind of like saying I was fun through good times and bad? I hope so... Because I don't drink and i certainly wouldn't (willingly) put a gun to my head. lol.
[/ QUOTE ]
When I first read it, my initial reaction was, "Wait, is he saying that Rock was only fun when he (MrDJ) was drunk?" -

Despite all his power, Lord Recluse apparently feels the need to keep a pistol at his side, but really, when you consider he still robs banks, he might just be a fan of old school villainy...
[/ QUOTE ]
It's about style. When a minion has failed you, you can just cut him in half with your extra legs so fast he doesn't even see it coming. But that's not fun. So you reach down to your holster, undo the flap, slowly draw the gun.... It's important that the minion has time to realize what's about to happen. -
Oops. Never played that set so I was thinking 'click power' about the Acid Mortar when I should have been thinking 'pet' like the Gun Drone (or the pets that actually look like pets).

I can do inviter duties as well, if needed. I've got good hero coverage, not so much v-side.

You can make a new character in under 30 seconds. Trust me - I made over 600 of them back in the 'prestige grant' days. (Unless, of course, you have no open slots left.) -

Wait a minute here.
Why are you even considering desolving the SG and your Base? Are those other guys in your SG actually friends or not? Are they pissing you off that much by existing that you seriously want to spite them by leaving them out in the cold?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I glossed over that one. I wasn't even going to address it. He went from asking how demotion/promotion works, to "Maybe I'll just destroy it all! MUAHAHAHAA" Maybe this falls under the category of "If I can't have it, no one can." -
Triage Beacon with Numina's Convelescance: +Recov/Regen or Panacea: +HP/End. Would this proc on people within the healing aura? Or just for me? Or at all?
No, sort of, yes.
It will check ONCE when you initially fire off the power and can only affect you.
Caltrops: Do the procs have a chance to fire every 10 seconds, or does it have a chance to proc when placed and if it does so the damage will occur every 10 seconds?
See above reply. Same situation applies - you only trigger the power ONCE. The only time it gets to check repeatedly is when the power is being used continually FROM YOUR POINT OF VIEW - i.e. a toggle or auto power.
Acid Mortar: Do procs have a chance to fire with each shot it makes?
No.
Poison Trap: How do procs work with this one's gas area? Do enemies in the area have a chance of taking the proc, does the chance of proc occur at placement and will occur every 10 seconds if it does, or will it only proc on the innitial release of the gas?
Not familiar with this power. Is it a click power? If so, there is ONE chance of a proc firing.
Will auras pass thier proc on to people within the aura? For example, will Tactics with Gaussian's Synchronized Fire-Control: (5%)Chance for Build Up give only me that chance, or each ally being affected by the aura?
You only. However, since this *IS* a toggle, it will check every 10 seconds as long as the power is running. -
However, you can make it go grey and display an afk message immediately with a custom message.

Well, the previous poster did say that Invincibility accepting taunt sets seems to be a bug. There are probably other variables here, like the fact that Invincibility and Against All Odds (as well as the Willpower one) base their effects on number of targets in proximity.
There's a lot of variety under the general category of 'taunt auras'. -
Wrong. The guy with the red star is the 'Super Leader' and is the *ONLY* person affected by the auto-demote feature. There is no 'permanent leader'.
