Nope. Anything over 2 billion will disappear into the aether without warning.

Rent is way weird. If you pay as soon as the message come up, you'll pay about every two weeks. If you pay after the due date, you'll pay about once every four weeks. Two weeks AFTER the due date (to the exact minute), City Hall cuts your power. Pay it then.
If you pay 5 minutes before they cut the power, you'll be paying every 4 weeks. If you pay 5 minutes AFTER they cut the power, you'll be paying every 6 weeks.
If, by chance, you have no equipment that draws power, you can wait an additional two weeks until they lock you out. Then you'll pay every 8 weeks. I assume, though, that you need the power on for the base to be useful. -

I am not looking for a flamefest, but rather want to discuss what the Devs may be about with this announcement. What do you think is going on?
[/ QUOTE ]
What announcement? A link to a thread where someone states it is a known issue and working as intended does not qualify as an 'annoucement'. Assuming someone provided a direct quote from a GM, that doesn't qualify either. Not by a long shot. Someone in my SG had trouble completing a Numina TF and petitioned. The GM told them that the final mission (the one with Jurassik) had been changed to a defeat all. This was completely incorrect. When it comes to what is 'working as intended', the GMs know *SQUAT*. -

Admittedly I am contributing quite highly to the number of girl characters with a guy player.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have three female characters (out of about two dozen total).
My villain has a lace top and mini-skirt.
The two heroes have 'realistic' outfits, although one also has a Fusionette tribute costume. However, due to a tradition in a weekend task force group that one person started, both of them have bunny oufits. One one task force, we had 7 out of 8 with rabbit ears and varying degrees of bunny costumes.

Anyway... started with a bit less than 100 million. The most expensive part of the plan was 2 full sets of Obliteration, but I was also buying 4-5 pieces of multiple other sets... and then crafting level 50 IOs for the rest.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just a comment here. Even on my main (who is 'purpled out'), I don't bother with lvl 50 commons. Level 50's give you 4/10 of 1% improvement over level 45's and you pay through the nose for them. -

Belle actually put this on the Taxibots calendar and I noticed it this morning. Happy birthday, man.
[/ QUOTE ]
Cool.
Would you like to see some of the stuff I have on my calendar?
1/12/1992 - HAL 9000's birthday.
3/29/1995 - My family put our own website online. (And it's still around.)
6/14/1993 - Bought my first car (Saturn SL1). It was totaled on 7/18/1999.
7/20/1969 - First man on the Moon. I remember watching it on TV.
9/13/1999 - Moon knocked out of Earth's orbit. (I was a big fan of 'Space 1999'.)
9/22 - Bilbo & Frodo's birthdays. (Firefox flags Frodo as a spelling error, but not Bilbo.)
10/4/1957 - Sputnik launched.
10/15/1996 - My brother's thesis defense for his PhD.
11/13 - Felix Unger's wife throws him out. (I was a big fan of 'The Odd Couple'.)
Of course, there's lots of birthdays listed, too.

Happy Birthday oh mighty Ironblade! Hope you have a fantastic day!
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks, but not today. I'm customizing an accounting package for my office and it was fighting me tooth and nail today. And no one at the office remembered my birthday. And there was massive traffic on the way home for no obvious reason.
MUAHAHAHAHA! It's my birthday so I can be Mr. Downer!

7. Ironblade - tank
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, Ironshield is the tank. Since all my toons have done this TF, I'm bringing Ironblade, who is BS/regen.
Or did you mean that I'll be tanking on my scrapper? I can do that.

For me, it's more confirmation that I need a new game (and have lined a few up).
[/ QUOTE ]
mkay... I thought you'd left a while ago. I mean, you certainly weren't posting for quite a while. -
[ QUOTE ]
That will be a fun weekend to watch the forums.
[/ QUOTE ]
You do that. Hah! One less person trying to log into the game! -

wether a solo tanker can put out enough dmg to (fairly quickly) defeat Elite Bosses. As an example, would my tanker, properly outfitted be able to solo the Tina McIntyre and Maria Jenkins arcs?
[/ QUOTE ]
Surely. My inv/EM could solo them but it would take forever since he was built to be tough. My ice/SS could do it too, but a lot faster since he's build for damage output.
My ice/SS did, in fact, solo a lot of them, as well as Nosferatu (who is considered a relatively tough EB). -

Instead it is more likely he/she/it heard in game that it had been nerfed and rushed to the boards to post. And didn't even bother to research the topic first.

Him and an army like him with every issue release. <sigh>
So, I hear they nerfed regen and accuracy this issue..... -

For those that eschew travel powers for temp versions, keep in mind that temp powers can run out at inopportune times, and that regular travel powers can be slotted for greater speed and invention set bonuses.
[/ QUOTE ]
Fie on you. I took a brute to level 50 without a 'real' travel power.
My shield tank didn't get Superjump until level 41. And he only took it because he was tired of trudging uphill through all that snow.
Anyway, sign me up. I'll bring Ironblade since every one of my heroes on Infinity has done this TF. -
[ QUOTE ]
Wow this sucks. My first group was grandfathered in by having Rikti Crash Site already.
Considering I've gotta better chance of getting my time machine built with Donald Trump financing it than getting a ship raid going on my server, I guess my other groups are SOL.
[/ QUOTE ]
So organize one. If you're disappointed with the frequency or lack of raids on your server, it's a safe bet you're not the only person who feels that way. It isn't hard to run one. -

Players are dreaming if you think that your petitions are "saving" us from a lawsuit that will shut down the game.
NCSoft has to demonstrate that NCSoft is taking the correct action. Nothing more, nothing less. YOU are not NCSoft, your petitions are not helping anything other than making you feel "part of the team".
[/ QUOTE ]
Thank you for offering your *OPINION* on this matter. Hopefully you'll pardon us if we choose to completely disregard it. -
[ QUOTE ]
Wow a forum without a new player section?... oh well.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not to worry - you found the right place to post.
First, let me say hello and welcome.
Since your questions about travel powers have been pretty thoroughly answered, let me address something else. In my experience, one of the best way to learn about the game is to find one or more experienced players in-game (i.e. on the same server and best if with similar play times) who would put you on their 'global friend' list so you can always find them when you have a question (assuming they are online at the time).
I would suggest scrolling way down on the forums front page to find the section for the server you are playing on and posting that you are new and looking for help. There are plenty of people who will go out of their way to help new players. If you happen to be on Infinity, I'd be delighted to offer my assistance. My main character on Infinity is named Ironblade and my global is @Ironblade1
As a general comment on the travel powers, the temporary ones you can get (flight pack at 5-10 and jump pack at 10-15) are really useful. Each will last for 2 hours of actual usage (i.e. actual flight time or actual jumping time). If you use it wisely and turn it off when not in use, you can easily reach level THIRTY OR FORTY before they run out. Historically, people really felt pressured to take a travel power at level 14, when they first become available. Now, you can easily put that off for quite a while if there are other powers you want to get first.
You can only get each pack once per character. If you're already too high level for one, you can 'tag along' with a lower level character who has the mission and still get it the travel power. -

Also, Obligatory Wiki Link. Almost ANY question can be answered by checking the Wiki.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's the OLD link. That version is generally not used by the CoH community and not updated/maintained by our community. The correct link is www.paragonwiki.com. (The one FleetingWhisper posted is also correct - I just think the ParagonWiki domain is easier to remember.) -
No problem using a free tailor session as of about 9-10 days ago. That's the last time I was in Icon.

[ QUOTE ]
Last time I went into it, having been cajoled into it by a team with the promise of PvE missions, I got snagged by TP Foe shortly after zoning in and nearly ganked by another player. So, yes, definitely a PvP zone. Though it may be practically deserted these days, I won't chance it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why? So what if you get killed? You don't even get debt when killed by a player. -
[ QUOTE ]
I feel like my green "auto power" circle isn't working reliably on many of my characters, but I can't figure out what's going on. I'll control-click to put it on a power and the power doesn't start. O manually click the power ansd it starts but doesn't auto-start the next cycle. Then later I notice it seems to be working -- maybe after I zone?
Is anyone else having this? What is known about it? Fix coming?
[/ QUOTE ]
As someone posted, zoning can affect it.
Also, some or all powers will auto-fire oddly based on your targeting. I've only noticed it on my shield tank as I don't normally set stuff to auto-fire. If you are targeting nothing or an enemy, it will work correctly. If you're targeting a contact or object, the auto-firing power simply will not trigger - until you change your target.
Fix coming? Who knows. -
That's not a bug. It's supposed to do that. Any toggle power that affects enemies is supposed to turn off when you get mezzed.
-
Okay, and Slashman has said it's affecting other servers. Plus, it's obviously not affecting everyone. As I replied in your other thread about this, I suspect it might be an ISP issue and restricted to a relatively small region, thus affecting only a small portion of the player base.

If they were @Children of Data 1, @Children of Data 2 and @Children of Data 3 then there wouldn't be any problem.
