  1. Or he could get tired of the game and quit before it sells. I believe we still have the 60 day WW purge system for accounts that go inactive.

ah. I recall that post but didn't pay attention to the numeric listing.

Was my "Huh?" post one of the categories?

I think that the thread is a silly hoax because I'm expected to believe that he went from level six to level fifty (based on the OP's post history) in less than 48 hours, which I do not.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Believe it.
FYI, people could go from 1 to 50 in less than two days before we had AE or double XP weekends. With AE, people were going from 1 to 50 in a couple of hours before the toonsmackage. I see no reason to doubt that a random player could do it in two full days currently.

In theory, this is all balanced by there being no "end of mission" reward in terms of XP/Influence/Prestige. In practice...not so much.

    [/ QUOTE ]

In theory, theory and practice are similar, in practice...

    In practice, there is."

um, 9 what? I can't make out much detail.
  6. Well, Ironshield got 2 levels on a Sarah Moore TF last night so he's outleveled this. However, I happen to have someone in range who is particularly useful. I'll bring my level 43 ice/force field controller: Ice Force. Team two, please.
  7. [ QUOTE ]
For Team One, it was astounding because we had 34 minutes on the timer when hitting mission completion. Our difficulty setting was Invincible, we fought our way down at a steady pace (i.e., no stealthing), and we only had to lower the shields twice before the monster was defeated.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Well, to be fair, from what I've seen, the difficulty level is fixed for this trial.

The last time I led it, we got to the first group of enemies, saw they were 42 and I checked my rep, saw it was on Invincible, so we quit and re-started on Heroic. When we got back to the big room . . . the enemies were still level 42. They're always level 42.

Caveat: This may work like the respec where it is scaled to 2 over the highest character. If everyone on the team was 38, perhaps they would be 40. But the leaders rep setting does not seem to do anything. Maybe it would raise their levels if everyone was 38 or 39.

Well to become the games most reviled player he would need to know and have teamed with most of the people that play the game.

    [/ QUOTE ]
No, not at all. It was never claimed he was reviled by most of the players, just that he was the most reviled. If this game was all happy sunshine and kittens, you might only need 3 people to hate you to be the most reviled.
  9. Well, that explains why I never noticed getting hit by it; it's a relatively minor effect. Of course, it's also clearly not what the OP was talking about so we're back to square one as to why he had a -recovery effect during the ITF.
  10. I'll second that: why do you think you need two installs?
FYI, I have two accounts and often run them simultaneously from the SAME installation/directory.

Or is there another reason? Are you referring to the test server?
  11. [ QUOTE ]
What was said on the site...Twixt" became perhaps the game's most reviled, abused player because his playing methods were unpopular.

Thats a bunch of bull. Probably only about 1-2% of the player base, probably less, knew Twixt. Played on one server, mainly in a PvP zone...not that many people really. I didnt know who this person was untill this.

They need to change that crap cause it's a lie. A big fat one.

    [/ QUOTE ]
This is a normal media practice - exaggerate and sensationalize a 'fact' that is not easily refuted. Can you PROVE it's not true?
  12. [ QUOTE ]
Sadly, your current build is a little over slotted in some places and under slotted in others. A respec is in order. However, in the age of AE, I can't help but think a Respec Trial is not going to happen any time soon.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I can't imagine why you would think that. In the past few days, I've seen 3 respec trials organized on just one global channel I'm on.
  13. [ QUOTE ]
And Optical I have no idea what the point of your post was. I'm not being mean, I just don't get it.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Get it? I couldn't even READ most of it. Any post that has to be DECODED to understand it just isn't worth the time.
  14. [ QUOTE ]
Seriously...you expect me to believe that someone cannot figure how to get out of atlas park? That a player cannot click the map and see the train or the tunnel out?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Because there's such a helpful manual? Because we haven't seen people post in these very forums that they only discovered their mini map BY ACCIDENT?

    Get a clue.
  15. Also worth noting, since the OP specifically asked about recipes, pools C and D were combined and also given a chance to drop from bosses. Also, since the Rikti are all over level 50, you can get purples. The only recipes you CAN'T get are the 'end of mission' pool.

My question is, if the Devs have said we can't have such stuff, why do we keep asking for them?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Once upon a time, we were told we can't have power customization of any sort.
What we can, and can not, have changes over time.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
What I would really like to know what moron on the Dev team thought up this "Brilliant" solution.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Probably the VP In Charge of Killing The Game. Because, OBVIOUSLY, there couldn't be any other reason for a decision like this.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
yes that is understandable but then the same can be said that if i use superspeed and then run into a wall i should take damge for hitting a wall at 80 mph or the same with fly and run into a building but we dont in the game. Im not sure though if you are getting my point

    [/ QUOTE ]
We get your point, we just disagree. As for your running and flying examples, this is powered movement under your complete control at all times. We can just assume you slow down at the last moment, rather than running into the wall at full speed.

If you are now going to say that you SHOULD be able to smack the wall at full speed and take damage, you're just being silly. By that reasoning, your assault rifle blaster should be able to put a bullet in his own head or shoot himself in the leg. If you want to take damage from flying, fly up high and turn it off.

Damn bro.. your search-fu is super strong

    [/ QUOTE ]
FYI, when I need to find something in the patch notes, I search it on ParagonWiki.
  20. Ouch.
    Nice work, though.

I would send Positron a week's supply of pizza, donuts and cupcakes plus a plushy-stress-toy if he implemented this.

    [/ QUOTE ]
BOOOOORING. The rubber stress-toys where the eyes bulge out when you squeeze them are much more entertaining.
  22. It depends. If you've got a tank on the team running Maneuvers, it's not noticeable. If you have 3 defenders, each running multiple Leadership powers, it's absolutely brutal. I've been on teams where we had 12-15 Leadership powers running and it was astonishing the difference it made.

As far as the AT modifiers, I never take them on a tank. I'll take them on a scrapper or blaster if I have a reason (example: having Tactics in a PvP zone is helpful). On a controller, they're pretty good. On a defender, if there's any way I can fit the power in and afford the endurance, I'll try to take as many as I can. My empathy defender has all 4 Leadership powers. My dark defender has 3.

Also worth mentioning: Vet attacks can not be slotted for accuracy so lots of people feel they're kind of useless at higher levels. But Tactics works just fine with vet attacks.

I got home today and my 5 year old had logged into mine and my wifes accounts. He was on my toon and had set hers to follow. LOL. He said, "Look daddy, i got her on follow and we're going to a mission".

    [/ QUOTE ]
The next time someone posts, "I can't get a character on my other account to follow me.", I'm going to tell them that a five-year-old can do it and link them here.

I've seen the hide options in my global friends list, and I use them. Only thing I notice is it doesn't hide from global chat channels.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Actually, it does. It just SEEMS like it doesn't. If you're on full hide and look at your SG window, it doesn't display you. If you're on full hide and look at a global channel list, you WILL see your own name - but no one else will.
