Items trading in a shortage (purples) will not go down at all as there will be no oversupply, so they will continue to rise as disposable income rises. Hold on to your purples, the prices are just going up.

    [/ QUOTE ]
There doesn't have to be oversupply for prices to decline, just greater supply than currently. I think your analysis is sound except for your conclusion about purples.

    Issue 16

    [ QUOTE ]
My experience is that we could be looking at several months of internal development after they announce a teaser about an upcoming issue and at least a month of beta testing on Test. Personally I'd be somewhat surprised to see it go live any earlier than October and wouldn't be surprised if it took until mid-December.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Sounds reasonable. The stated target is 3 issues per year. We had Issue 14 (which was a big one) in April. Issue 15 (a small one) was in June. Issue 16 seems not too big in terms of 'content', but in terms of 'stuff people have wanted' (as well as engine changes) it's absolutely huge. Still, I don't think they'll need to December. I think it will be closer to October.

The power seems to get stuck often when I visit trainers and markets, and less often in a mission instance.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Correct. If you have a non-combat NPC targeted at the time, the auto power will NOT fire. If you have an enemy targeted, or nothing, it works normally.
  4. Just to alert people who might only read our 'home section' . . . Issue 16 Information

Even unannounced downtime gives a 30 minute warning, how long does it take you to respec?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I'm pretty sure the one yesterday only gave 10 and 5 minute warnings. I.. um... might have had my account running overnight for some reason and saw the messages while having breakfast.

    STF Bug

Yes, Castle thinks it's related to the recent AI changes.
  7. hmm.... I'm not into RP and don't put excessive time into my costumes, but I've had to buy each booster pack because each has had at least one thing I had to have.

Now, Issue 16 - this I would have paid SERIOUS money for. If this was a boxed expansion, I would have bought a copy for each account the day of release. Very nice indeed.

Hey, you can't =have= baloney without farms!

    [/ QUOTE ]
    hmm.... Free range baloney?
  9. Well, imagine that. You don't just color-customize an entire set - you can change each power individually.

  10. [ QUOTE ]
Anyways, my point is, how come in the game, the Heroes and Archvillains are ridiculously overpowered, able to take on 8 heroes/villains at once; but in the stories and lore, one punch usually knocks them dead?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Seriously, you're the one not making any sense.
How could someone control a demon that almost took out Statesman? Duh! It said "control", not "beat senseless". She was bypassing its physical attributes.
How could someone so tough almost get one-shotted? What, Superman isn't vulnerable to kryptonite AND magic? This is a common occurrence. Someone who is invulnerable to everything would be boring.

    Quick Q

Everything on test is free. You can also transfer over to the 2nd test server (if it's up) at no cost.

    Ouro-Tele-Bug

Okay, weird one here. Events proceeded as follows:
    - Team exits mission (in Nerva, FYI).
    - Team leader sets the mission, which turns out to be in Nerva.
    - Player 1 immediately drops an Ouroboros Portal, before noticing the mission is in the same zone.
    - Player 2 (me), not noticing Player 1's actions, drops an Ouroboros portal which appears right on top of the first one.
    - Player 1, noticing the mission is in Nerva (and far away), decides not to use the O-Portal and activates his mission teleporter.
    - Players 1 and 2 *BOTH* get teleported to the mission door.

Yes, you read that right. The player standing next to me activated his mission teleporter and I went along for the ride. My first thought was that someone has used Recall Friend or Assemble the Team. I looked around (and checked the map) and no one else on the team was anywhere near the mission (also, I asked if anyone had). And Player 1 could not have used his mission teleporter then recalled me because he didn't even have recall.

Quite bizarre. I should try to reproduce it.
  13. That would be my thought. I have NEVER seen a mission that I could not exit. Of course, FINDING the exit might be a challenge since there is no waypoint.

This game looks new user unfriendly. I'm beggining to think its system mechanics are outdated and can't handle newer PCs >.>

    [/ QUOTE ]
Guess again. Tons of people run it with no issues, including on new systems with Vista. (Not sure if any are using it under Windows 7 yet.)

    Want to die...

    [ QUOTE ]
It has some kind of virus and it refuses to leave. IT apparently can travel through usb so now both my flashdrive and my external hd are hit.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Computer viruses are not some animated slime that acts under its own power. They attach/embed in files which have to be executed for something to happen. Your flash drive and external HD may have infected files *ON* them, but they are not 'contaminated'.

Many types of files are not subject to infection. It is quite likely that some, most or all of your files are not actually infected - you are simply having trouble getting at them.

    [ QUOTE ]
I am so upset because this means thousands of hours of work are gone.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Any time you lose more than a few hours of work, it means you have GRIEVOUSLY screwed up. Many people don't even ask themselves what would happen *IF* a hard drive fails. It's not a question of "if". If you use computers very much at all, it's pretty much guaranteed you WILL have a hard drive fail eventually.

An external hard drive is NOT good enough. What if your main drive crashed and you go to get your back-up drive, trip and drop it? Anything worth saving needs to get recorded onto a less fragile medium (CD, DVD) and stored in a safe location (i.e. not in the same building as the computer it came from).

Obviously this isn't what you want to hear right now but, unless you decide to never create any new content ever again, this *WILL* come up again in the future.

Is there any issues with loading the game client to a laptop and then logging on with regular account. Essentially, will I encounter some sort of licence conflict machine code thingy, and will it attempt to charge me?

    [/ QUOTE ]
No problem there at all. You can install it on 10 computers if you want. You're paying for the ACCOUNT and it will only allow one computer to be logged in at any given time.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
You are looking at the %free and not paying attention to the actual free space - I have 35 GB of freespace on C: and 41 GB of freespace on D:. Thats not a lot out of the total (nearly 1 terabyte) but its a lot more space then most apps need. I do have stuff I can delete, especially on C:, but I doubt those are causing problems.

    [/ QUOTE ]
He's right to look at % free. Having 4% free on one drive is undoubtedly causing access issues. I don't see how it could be causing your crashing, but it is most assuredly gimping your system to some extent.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
It looks like its a heat problem - my cpu is spiking up to 55C and above.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I'm skeptical that's the problem. I have a Core2 Duo CPU also and my system runs constantly at 59-61C (I run SETI At Home which keeps the CPU at 100% utilization.)

    AE

    [ QUOTE ]
One advantage would be the 35+ level req in rwz. I know I get tired of playing on teams where I am the only high level outside of the ae missions haha.

Another advantage would be less lag since you are no longer in atlas or cap.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Another cool feature would be when a mothership raid ends and everyone in the entire zone is teleported to Point du Hoc. Unless they fixed that.

Actually, it seemed rather unpredictable. On one occasion it teleported all the raiders, plus about two dozen Vanguard personnel.
  20. I think so. It was a while ago, but I think we had the Magic Axis (plus a bunch of bookcases) and the Oracle jammed into a small room . . .

So I'll probably contact a known badger or two to advertise there when the time comes.

As opposed to a badger who is undercover as a muskrat?
  22. [ QUOTE ]
Besides, the new 5-minute timer diesnt actually nake it faster, does it? Doesnt it just reduce the number of toons needed for one cycle of kills?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yes, assuming you have a relatively small number of farmers. When I organized rep farms, we would sometimes get 8-10 people. A shorter timer would help with a big crowd.
  23. [ QUOTE ]
I mean I see this alot at their base, four Longbow vs (Insert single villain). Not very heroic in my book.

    [/ QUOTE ]
What does heroism have to do with it? When pursuing a suspect, do the police send less officers so that it's a "fair fight"?

    [ QUOTE ]
Unfortunately, newbies don't know they can use it. If you're told that's what we do in the game, as a newbie, that's what they'll believe. They're more likely to Quit the game than quit the team.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's on the individual. It has nothing to do with where AE buildings are, what level they're introduced to said individual, or anything else. Isn't the idea of these games to explore them, to some extent? If someone is too lazy or braindead to look around a little, good riddance. The game is better off without toolsheds like that.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Rotten attitude. It's not on the individual - it's a failure of the game to show what is available. Just because a player is new, doesn't mean they are stupid.
