That's what IO's are for. +recovery is usually (always?) the first bonus in a set that has it so you can frankenslot for it cheap. My shield tank runs 7 toggles. My defender without Stamina runs 5. Neither has Conserve Power, because they don't need it.

No, Nitra is mistaken. Any AoE damage that you are able to fire off will work. The problem is that you can't target the Magmites while they are underground.
1. You can use any PBAoE, click or a toggle.
2. You can use a location-based AoE (Ice Storm, etc).
3. You can pull another enemy (like a troll, or Pumicite) over the area then use a targeted AoE.
4. Much overlooked method that I used to get Coralax (who hide under the water) - use Ouroboros to exemp to a level where they will aggro on you. I used an Ouro mission to exemp to level 9 (Negotiator badge mission) and strolled through the river. For the Magmites, you'd want to be around 15. Level 9 would work, but you would be so toast. If you have enough people (3), you could use the Positron TF to exemp all of you to 15.


P.S. What server are you on? I can definitely help on Infinity. I think I have a level 15 on Guardian. I don't think I have anyone at the right level, or with the right powers, on other servers.


Edit: I was curious if anything had changed, so I got my ice/SS tank to check what powers could pull them out of the ground. The following all worked:
Chilling Embrace - toggle PBAoE debuff (no damage)
Icicles - toggle PBAoE damage
Foot Stomp - melee PBAoE attack
Ice Storm - location AoE attack

I did notice, though, that I only saw one Magmite. You may need a bigger team to spawn bosses.

I'm pretty sure it's one transaction per 24 hour period and has been that way for a long time, if not since the policy was first instituted.

I'll have to check, but I think my ice controller (who hit 44 on the respec today) is one of my few toons who doesn't have Portal Jockey. So, sign up Ice Force (lvl 44 ice/FF) for team two.

Most of the channels work that way, due to the gold farmers joining and spamming. If you open the channel listing, you'll see the people with a square next to their name (like you) who are silenced. The operators, who can unsilence you, have a star. You would need to send one of them a tell.

You mentioned that in-game too. So what book was it?

Nope. Crashing is crashing. The application freezes and may, or may not, give an error message.

I assume nothing. To address the specific point you did mention, I have a program running that monitors my system temperatures constantly and also logs them.

If you re-read my post, you may notice that I was making observations regarding my experience that of other players as well. Also, my comment about stability ended with a question mark. I am wondering - not assuming.


P.S. I've already been playing for several hours today with no crashes. There may have been some external factor, independent of my system and the game, that was causing the crashes.

I would suggest joining the INFINITY HAMIDON channel. Despite the name, it's not just about Hami - mothership raids usually get announced on there also.

You can also organize your own. It's not that hard. Someone in my SG had also started their own SG and they needed the badge on the mothership to get the beacon and they asked me to organize a raid just so they could get that badge.

So I did.

I think the most recent patch messed something up. I'm seeing a lot of posts about crashing and when *I* start getting crashes, you know it's bad. I LITERALLY have not crashed once in more than a month - until today. I crashed 4 times today. (I didn't log in at all yesterday.)

No noticeable pattern to the crashes:
1. During a Rikti invasion.
2. In an instanced mission.
3. Zoning into Ouroboros.
4. Switching toons.

First, they gave the farmers the ability to turn off XP and make perma-bridges.
Then, they gave the ability to create your own farms.
Now, they'll be able to pad the team without actually getting padders.

Three separate changes that made farmers squeal with delight. I would tentatively conclude that they don't actually hate farmers and that is just a myth put forward by those that do hate farmers.

That's correct. Also, a team of 6 or more on Difficulty 1 will get AV's. Hopefully, with the new system, a player set to diff 1 and team of 6 will get AV's.

And if they do bring raids back they have to change all the repurposed items again, or add new ones? No, much simpler to leave them as they are. If you don't like having a useless vault room, delete it. You'll get your prestige back.

I didn't mean to suggest that's the only time it occurs. I was just saying that you can reproduce the problem consistently by targeting a non-combat NPC (trainer, WW rep, etc).
