No, and when you picked the slots doesn't really matter. If you added 6 slots after level 40 to a power you got at level 1, then exemp to level 1, it still has 6 slots. While you do lose powers when exemping, each power keeps whatever slots it normally has.

Now, if you REALLY need to figure out when you took certain powers, you can exemp and see if you keep them. You can use Ouroboros (assuming you are level 25+) to exemp to various levels. If you need to narrow it down further, you can try to find someone the exact level and ask them to exemp you.

So while strafing, turning, and backwards walking is a part of the reason we probably won't see a walking animation added, the transition to power animations a bigger reason why.
No, a thousand times no. People keep making these bogus claims.
We DON'T need the ability to strafe, turn or go backwards.
We DON'T need to transition to power animations.

The flypose emote is just that, an EMOTE. If you turn, strafe, activate a power, whatever, it interrupts the emote. Walking could work the same way and it would be entirely sufficient.

I think that data was populated at some point, then they realized that they were never used and stopped collecting the data, leaving a freeze frame until they finally took them out entirely.
Which list were you looking at? One list counted kills and another listed some different status - maybe damage done. Also, if the Hellions were grey to you, they might not count.

FYI, every time I checked, they worked fine, including kills. I did an 8-man Synapse and then a clockwork arc one day and was #1 on that list. I also used to track heal farming, since we didn't have exact numbers on our badge progress bars back then.

Okay, you're saying three things here and I can address two of them:
    1) I couldn't Taunt LR.
    2) LR kept killing the team because I couldn't hold aggro.
    3) The kin was unreliable/incompetent.

Okay, when phrased that way, the problem with Item 3 is self-explanatory. If everyone isn't working AS A TEAM, you can all just go home.

Item 2 is based on Item 1.

I have NO IDEA what could have caused Item 1. Recluse doesn't have a phase power. I've done this TF multiple times and never saw a tank have trouble taunting and I had no trouble the time I was tanking him. You were actually using the power 'Taunt' and it displayed a message over him? What was the message? From what you wrote, it could have been 'Unaffected' or 'Ineffective'. These mean different things. There is no status message 'Unaffective'.
  5. Possibly, or your specific geographical location. Some cities have connection/bandwidth issues. When my brother lived in Pittsburgh, internet access in general was awful. It didn't matter if he was connecting from home or on a T1 at his office.

Yeah, and? You were on a level 50 and in Atlas Park and someone assumed you were there for AE farming. So?

I'm currently parking one of my level 50's in City Hall for the day job badge and I get invites to AE farms all the time. It's a fact of life for AP.

Just another reason to switch to Champions Online I guess.
Good riddance. How many times do we have to see this? "This game sucks so bad; I'm going to CO." If you're not having fun here, then leave. How is this complicated?

I hardly ever set foot in AE and I have ZERO problem find people to team with. I think the game is still great, I'm looking forward to the new stuff in the pipeline, and have no intention of going anywhere.

I asked about the EXACT same thing a while back. I had already decided on shield and, for concept reasons, wanted to pair it with a melee weapon.

What I took from the discussion: do you prefer stun or knockdown? I already had a tank with energy melee (which does stun) and I happen to find knockdown hysterically funny, so I went with axe.

So, my shield/axe is 2 bars from 50 now. I think it's a great combo and I've been very happy with it.

I don't think it's an INHERENTLY bad thing. However, given the existence of significant numbers of tanks who insist that the correct tactic for every single damn situation is herding, I think it BECOMES a bad thing. I think it would provide the wrong kind of encouragement to bad tanks.

I wasn't. I was informing the OP, who had a valid question, that my experience is dramatically different from yours. I don't care about your personal experience. My goal was to provide another opinion / more information to the OP.
  10. Correct.
Assuming the OP is the highest rank (super leader, marked by a red star). When the other person is one rank lower and you try to promote them, it will ask if you are sure. If you confirm it, the other person will be promoted to super leader and you will be automatically DEMOTED one step.
    "There can be only one."

P.S. Saying your'e both 'Overlords' doesn't actually tell us anything. The rank names are editable. You can have all 6 ranks set as 'Overlord'. If you're both the exact same rank, based on the SYMBOL, not the rank name, then NEITHER of you is the real leader. There can only be one super leader under the new system.

I do have one more question concerning the packs that give free game time. If I purchase them all at once will that free game time accumulate?
Yes. If you go buy the Good vs Evil Edition and Architect Edition and use both to 'UPGRADE' your account, you'll get 60 free days.

Yes, there is a limit, but it's not 'fixed'. Many people get stopped when trying to make a second purchase and many have made 2 or 3 in a single day.

Support told someone that there is a random element to it (and that it is indeed a fraud-prevention measure).

There is ALSO a daily dollar limit, which you can addjust within a certain range. It's relatively high, though. (I believe the default is $100.)

Actually, I find that the distance doesn't matter. In the long run, I would try to have some characters on a server on each coast. Occasionally, a data center problem or network outage will prevent access to ONE data center.

All of the servers are. What's wrong with Virtue? I don't understand why you would need to move. If you feel the population is too high, then you would not want Freedom either, which is more crowded. I would suggest Infinity or Justice as these two battle it out for 3rd place. I have never played on Champion so I don't have an opinion. I have played on Freedom, Virtue, Infinity, Pinnacle, Guardian and Triumph.

If I just made another scraper and change my style will my game play change?
Not really. Someone used to have a sig that said:
"Playing different kinds of scrappers is like the difference between playing tennis and playing raquetball. Playing different kinds of defenders is like the difference between playing hockey and playing piano.

    Quote:
    whats a good solo/group arch
All arcs are soloable, particularly for a scrapper. This page on Red Tomax's site lists arcs with descriptions. If you want easier ones, avoid those with archvillains or other major foes. For a team needing a challenge, try those.

    Quote:
I was trying to make a defender, but he is so weak and I cant find a team, how do I level them and do they get more easy and soloable with down the road?
All character types are soloable. Some are just harder (needing more experience) and slower. A defender will generally level much faster with a team. Find one.
    1) Start your own team.
    2) Join a supergroup.
    3) Go to the forum for the server you pick and post that you are a new player looking for people to team with.
    4) Find out what teaming channels there are for your server.

P.S. hmm.... by "arch" did you mean AT? When most people write 'arch', they actually mean 'arc'. If you meant AT, then scrapper is the classic.
  16. A couple of people mentioned it. Someone said that sniper attacks are also affected. I saw the Recall Friend 'freak-out' last night.
  17. I have 2 GB and I frequently run two instances. I did so last night and the game seemed a bit more sluggish than previous but I also have not restarted the system in several weeks so the sluggishness with two instances could be a result of that.

I'll start checking my RAM usage at random times to see if it's different from how it used to be.
  18. That's weird. I'm on XP with Firefox 3 and it works fine. There was another thread about certain Firefox plug-ins causing problems (unable to stay logged in). Have you got a lot of plug-ins? I have AdBlock Plus, NoScript and AVG.
  19. It *IS* unchangeable.
All she said was that they plan to change that at some point in the future. I predict it will be right after they restore the Cathedral of Pain trial.

Sort of. As long as you don't get hit during the INTERRUPTIBLE PORTION of the activation time. The animation is fixed in length, but interrupt reduction enhancements can reduce the interruptible portion and make it easier to use in combat.

    Yes and no.
Chat logging to a file only starts when you turn it on.
However, at any time, you can capture the full contents of a chat tab. For example, to capture the text on the tab named 'Global', you would type /copychat global

That will copy the entire contents to the Windows clipboard so you can paste it into a text editor.
