Quote:You're a bit off on this. Firstly, pressing the two mouse buttons does not move you to any destination - it simply moves you forward. Second, it SHOULD activate auto-run after a few seconds. That is the default setting.Auto-Run should not be kicking in unless 'R' button is pressed. L+R Button will (should) move you to the spot you have targeted under the arrow. The R Key is bound to Auto-running. That is you will move forward until "R" is pressed again. Or you move backwards ('S' key).

Quote:Nope. It was ALL wolves the last time I did it. Unless it got changed recently....http://cityofheroes.wikia.com/wiki/T...r_Bullet_Badge
I'm pretty certain its only the WarWolves. And not just cuz the Wiki says so, but when I've hunted for this badge, I've only noted progress on the progress bar when WarWolves were killed. -
There can be only one.
(Since you're restricting it to the ones I visit every week.) -
Actually, using an extension cable on something like USB is LESS of a problem than on an analog signal. As long as you stay within the USB spec for cable lengths, you should be fine.

Quote:Yep, known bug. When casting some powers with a long animation time like the "Pocket D VIP pass" the character will start to glitch, moving arms back and forth through the movement.
Been like that a long time. Better than it used to be and they continue to address it.Quote:Enemies will get stuck on things like rails and just lay there helpless, or get stuck in a wall and can then only be attacked by certain aoe attacks.
The term "music" only refers to the music out in the zones. Everything else is classified as a sound effect. This is working as intended.Quote:Music in missions are not turned off when the music volume is reduced to 0%, you need to lower all sound effects to turn of this music.
This happens when something interferes with the emote, like another emote, a combat stance, some armor toggles used to do this. Known bug.Quote:Costume change emotes do not activate but change the costume anyway several seconds later.
Then don't do it in combat. Working as intended.Quote:Costume change emotes freeze you, this can be dangerous in combat, it also causes you to lose any weapon you were holding so you need draw it again losing a few seconds.
Actually, you can use macros and keybinds to do costume changes WITH or WITHOUT the emotes, whichever you choose. Same thing applies to the costume change window. The emotes are always optional.Quote:Changing costume with a hotkey does not activate costume change emotes, this is good if you DO want to change costume in combat without any side effects.
I don't have any crabs (figuratively speaking) so can't address this one.Quote:Crab spider backpack

Mutation is your origin, which has limited impact on play. Based on the powers you mention later, your powersets are Invulnerability / Fiery Melee, typically referred to as invuln/fire.
Yeah, it kind of was. In your fire set, you will have a power named Taunt. This power makes Provoke/Challenge look like trash in comparison. Make no mistake, there are good powers in the Presence pool, but a tank gets a better power than either of the first two.Quote:I opted to not get a Running/Flying/Jumping power and got the taunt power section, hope that wasn't a mistake...
As for the travel power, if you have one or both of the temporary travel powers which you can get from the Atlas Park or Kings Row Safeguard mission, then you can delay getting a 'real' travel power for a long time.
I note that you later say you're level 12. If you don't have the Zero-G Pack (temporary jump power), you can still get it. Go to Steel Canyon or Skyway City. Talk to the detective assigned to you to get a police radio, if you don't already have it. Do a few scanner missions (3, I think) and you'll be asked to talk to the detective in person to get a Safeguard mission to protect the Kings Row bank. Complete that successfully and you'll get the temporary jump pack.
Better the other way around. Temporary Invulnerability should be prioritized since it gives 30% resistance. The passives give 10% each and many people wait until later (late 20's at least) for Energies and Elements.Quote:I have been working up my defensive side and now have 3-4 slots in the passive defense and 2-3 slots in my limited invulnerability spot. Also recently got the resist elements power and have 2 slots in that now.
Unless you later decide to invest in IO sets (special enhancements - too complex to address here), you won't need more than 4 slots in Temporary Invulnerability and 2-3 in the passives (I would say just 2 early on - you'll need the slots elsewhere in the early levels).
You know, I have a level 50 fire/fire brute and can never remember which fire power is which from the names.Quote:On the fire side, I have Combustion, Fire Swords and 1 other (AOE type ability)
In the invulnerability set, you have a few key powers that you should take as early as possible: Temporary Invulnerability, Dull Pain, Unyielding, Invincibility. If you want five 'key' powers, the next one would be Tough Hide, but those first four are VITAL to any invuln tank.Quote:So my question is this...What should I focus on now?
There is no 'first' server. The servers are listed as follows:Quote:I play on the first server too, Victory?
1 - the last server you were on
the rest - listed in order of 'server load', with the lightest usage at the top (This will more or less equate to 'lower population'. The lowest population servers may seem a bit quiet, while the highest population ones may seem too darn crowded - there's something for everyone.)
One final suggestion: scroll further down on the first page of the forums and find the Tanker section. Plenty of the experts read all the sections, but for questions specifically about tanks, that would be the place to post. -
My work schedule got changed, so I will be off tomorrow. Of course, I was originally going to be off Friday, so there was going to be maintenance either way. . . .

Quote:The 20-24 was "Retrieve the stolen weapons from the Freakshow" which awards the Pwnz badge so I think you're right on. The 25-30 was "The Redemption of Alexander 'the Great'" which - son of a bee - is also a badge arc (just checked Red Tomax). So I think that solves one mystery. Thanks!

Like I said, I'm pretty sure the badge missions are listed at the bottom of each arc list. They really should be flagged in some way. -
Quote:Thank for starting a thread for the explicit purpose of ragging on people. Thanks so much for the variety of "Support" (mostly wise cracks or simply defense of COH regardless of the issues.) I tried coming to the forums to report problems as the techies insist if you send a petition and it proved to be just what I thought, a useless undertaking.

We seem to get around mostly with teleport, anyway. I can often make really good time on the gravity geysers and, if they aren't conveniently situated, I have Teleport. Once I'm there, I have Recall Friend.

Did you try the 'Paste Special' command? When you want to paste, right-click in the cell and pick Paste Special. You have the option to paste values only, formulas only, etc. You can leave the formatting behind.

Obviously a case of h4x and/or sploitz.

Quote:Exactly which arcs? Just about every level bracket has two 'badge missions' (which can actually be multiple missions long) which do not count as 'arcs'. I believe they are always listed as the final one or two items in the level bracket. On Saturday the 8th I ran a series of Flashback missions with Arcana. I completed a level 20-24 arc with the conditions "No Travel Powers" and "Character is Debuffed." The badges failed to award. I repeated the same arc with the same conditions. Still no badges. I ran a different arc in the level 25-29 range with the same two conditions.
And yes, it would be nice if they were marked that they don't count for the challenge badges, but they aren't. -
Okay, I'll be running a Rikti Mothership Raid on this coming Friday, August 14th. Start time will be 8:30 PM EST.
FYI, the person shouting on the Request channel will not be Ironblade this time. An alt SG needs the beacon so I'll be there as Dark Devices. I imagine a dark defender might be useful.

For a measly 10,000 influence, you can be the proud owner of a Raptor Pack!
Anyway, sign me up for team two: Ironblade (lvl 50 BS/regen scrapper). -
Quote:Fixed that for you.Long, though I think both teams were in good moods. Next time, I'm going to hustle my team a bit more in the early missions, I think.

Those loons were on invincible. They took over 2 hours longer than team two. Seriously, you might want to make an exception when you're doing the TF from Hell. -
No way to fix it, and some of the sequence decisions there seem awfully dumb to me.
-
In both of your examples, you had the problem on a task force. What level is the toon? What level did they get the power the IO is in? What level is the IO?

Quote:Okay, people don't save their humor for the public areas apparently. The -rep entry I described above was followed by a +rep entry with the comment "bbbbbb". I actually LOL'ed at that one.Apparently, I wield a dangerous tongue depressor. Someone -repped me from this thread and the comment is "aaaaaa".

P.S. If you're thinking about sending one with "cccccc", sorry, that's just being a copycat at this point.

Quote:I'm sorry, but I must dispute this assessment. I can summarize my argument with one word:Cats are nature's perfect pet. They don't **** all over the place, they do it in a nice little tiny area. They don't slobber all over your face unless you want them to, they make sweet little noises, they are fuzzy and cuddly, they can always land on their feet, they're just... perfect.
HAIRBALLS!
Mind you, I'm not saying I don't like cats. I love cats. I've never had any pets other than cats. They're just not perfect.

Wow! What are the odds that would happen just as we're discussing it here? Imagine that.
-
Yeah, that would be helpful for anyone who doesn't log every power pick and slot assignment while leveling up. I don't keep track of any of that stuff until such time as I decide to respec a character. Then I plan it out in a spreadsheet.
