Quote:Ouch. That blows.Come on...
CoH/CoV EU doesn't even have an annual (1 year) sub option.
Never. Even if they did go nuts and offer lifetime subs, you only get the vet rewards after you have actually been playing long enough. They have ALWAYS worked that way, even for people paying a full year in advance. And before someone says, "Just because it was that way in the past, doesn't mean that..." Yes, it does. Otherwise they're screwing over their existing customers. Not a good business policy.Quote:But I would hope that this would immediately unlock:
All the veterans rewards. -
Quote:Unfortunately, you are mistaken. They could add epic, brilliant new low-level content and the crowds would still be in AE. It's not about the content - it's about speed of getting levels for those who don't know any better. They don't care because there is nothing new to see. If there was people wouldn't be doing the AE (which was a huge mistake).
To be fair, there are also those who do know better and just want to get to Stamina or SO's. New content wouldn't pull them out of AE either. -
-
You mean the uninformed members of the public who believe the lies about Crey spread by the media and a handful of irresponsible rogue 'heroes', don't you?
-
Why? Isn't the team size setting going to work in AE just as well as anywhere else? What about Issue 16 will move farmers out of AE?
Sure, supersidekicking will affect the PL'ers, but it will affect them the same no matter where they are. What is going to move people out of AE? -
Quote:Maybe, maybe not.shrug, I'll hold any real comment till I see what is actually changing, but this doesn't sound like a good thing to me.
There are a handful of badges that really are unreasonable, but if they employ the same idiotic carpet-bomb approach that they did with the MA badges, it will be bad. -
Quote:And expect to be told "No" most of the time. The person might be on a task force, an Ouroboros Flashback, or the team may be full already. But if you do that, please, please, please for the love of pete please don't just send a tell saying "Invite me". Say something like "Sorry to bug you, but I'm a $level $archetype and I was wondering if you had room?"
Or they may just be cranky. -
Quote:That is correct. At least, it sounds like about the right number. I would suggest reading about Enhancement Diversification on ParagonWiki. The total % from Adjusted Targetting is 21.2+26.5+26.5+42.4=116% plus the lvl 50 Recharge enhancement (42.4%) comes to a grand total of 159% but the stat window shows a recharge rate bonus of 103.8%.

Quote:But, as you pointed out, we DON'T know if that's what happened. As someone else pointed out, it might have been a friendly observation.I do want to touch on one thing though, politely telling someone that they have to leave the room (or server in this case) is an act of exclusion regardless of the circumstances.
Like in real life, if someone with hang-ups accidentally walks into a gay hang-out, or someone with a very conservative upbringing accidentally walks into a strip club, or someone who doesn't like smoke accidentally walks into a cigar bar.
In each case, the crowd of people already there are NOT going to change just to make one person less uncomfortable. If that person is truly uncomfortable, because of something about THEMSELVES and they simply can't get over it, then maybe they should just leave. -
Quote:Right, let's shun anyone who doesn't use the right code words to describe themselves. My emp is a 'healer' and I'm utterly unconcerned with your opinion on the matter. And "Healers"? Give me a Rad, Dark, Sonic, Kinetic or Forcefield any day over a "healer" empath. Buffs and debuffs rule the game and are far more effective than healing. The fastest steamroller teams won't have any of them along and typically are composed of multiple debuffers. Virtually every character I've ever teamed with who described himself as a healer was a waste of time. I'd take anyone else over a self-described healer.

um, yeah, I think that's pretty obvious. Even Word and Excel use that symbol. I meant that I didn't know you could highlight the text before hitting the button.
-
Team two has a cold defender and a controller with force fields secondary. Anyone can tank with those stacked.

Yeah, it's 10,000.
P.S. Negative on the fairies with hammers. I have the badge. -

It's a bit less than intuitive. I normally start off by using cut-and-paste for the URL so I don't make any mistakes. I click the button to insert a link (I'm set to the 'standard' edit screen) and paste the URL.
After I hit okay, the editor inserts the link to that site with the link text ALSO being the URL I just pasted. So, I delete the 'inner' copy of the URL and type whatever I want.
So, the editor inserts this: (the square brackets replaced by parentheses to 'un URL' it)
(URL="http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Main_Page")http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Main_Page(/URL)
And I edit it to this:
(URL="http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Main_Page")Linky(/URL) -
You don't need a mansion or a yacht to invest in Berkshire-Hathaway. The B shares are cheap (at least in comparison to the A shares). I don't have any, myself. I recognize the quote from reading 'The Intelligent Investor' by Graham. Originally published in 1949 and still useful.

Just walk up to the trainer. If you level during a task force, you'd have to visit the trainer if you want your new power or slots.

No.

Please note, I'm not making any claims about what is or is not enforced or what is/is not reasonable. I'm just advising the 'official policy' that is set out very plainly on the web site. -
Quote:It is NEVER going to be fixed because it's not broken. It's supposed to be that way. You may not like it, but it's part of the story line and lots of people (myself included) *DO* like it.You've just completed the 2nd mission and exit to discover there is another door mission already selected where once again you have to locate 4 nodes... and you have 10 minutes to do it. And that includes the travel time to find and enter the mission. Seriously, I know I've bugged this at least three times over the last five years. How hard is it to fix?

I believe the exception to this would be Peregrine Island. Enemies will spawn right on top of you with a funky 'transporter' effect.

. It's pretty easy.
