They really need a /nerdrage_quit command in the game that deletes all your characters, deactivates your credit card on your CoH account and uninstalls the game. That way, all the so-called "nerdrage quitters" could "put their money where their mouth is" rather than spending weeks raising a useless hue and cry on the boards.

I don't use Mids. On my inv/EM, I took all the primary powers, added Tough, and IO'ed him for +regen (300%). He's pretty darn tough and regen is an easy bonus to get so it was dirt cheap (under 30 million, not counting the +regen uniques which I had lying around).

In this post, he links to two useful programs, CoH Helper and HijackThis
CoH Helper would be a good start as it will list a bunch of key items. For example, how much RAM you have, which would be my first question based on your problem. -
You can also get the bow and sword in Safeguard missions, from the Weapons Deal side mission. The sword is called a Claymore and there are a TON of other cool powers - the IR Goggles, Flamethrower, Shotgun, etc, etc.
The only downside is that, if the random roll picks a temp power you already have, you get nothing. -
If it gives you more enemies to defeat, then yes. The ONLY factor is how many enemies you defeat. As long as they are high enough to drop a lvl 50 recipe, it doesn't matter if they are 49, 50, 51, 52, whatever.

Most of my tanks are lean on attacks. I generally put a Nucleolus Exposure (acc/dmg HO) in Brawl. The lone exception is my invuln, who has 2 pieces of Pounding Slugfest for the +regen bonus (he already had 5 of every higher ranked regen bonus).

It's all relative. 'Back in the day', people would sometimes have to respec and sell back old SO's in order to afford the new ones. With the invention system, most people are rolling in money. The purpose of respecs is not to facilitate hoarding and wealth-building. -

I posted the EXACT same question (and the search tool can't find it). The consensus seemed to be that mace was maybe a teensy bit better. But concept was also a factor so I went with axe.
