Small quibble. This is no longer true. They made a formal announcement that there was a new policy in place that they could run it at any time with no warning or notice before or after the fact.

Quote:So, basically, what you're saying is: Someone on the internet is wrong.Yesterday, someone ingame told me that Invincibility's taunt aura was reduced to bring it in line with the other taunt auras.

Quote:And the bright side to this is that you have 12 slots to make heroes on EACH server! Woo hoo!ahh Perfect. Im definitely a newb. I didnt realize I had to be on the same server. thanks guys

(Says the guy who had to get a second account to have more slots on one server.) -
The stuck command seems to have a range limit. I've had several occasions where I've fallen through a map to the 'bottom' of the world and /stuck would do nothing.
If you use flight/hover/teleport/etc to get NEAR ground level, /stuck will work and put you back on the map. -
Quote:And I think I got it wrong. I should have said 11 points. Even if you have no rep and just registered, you give a default of 1 point.Actually, based on your reg date, rep and number of posts (and assuming the default settings for vBulletin have not been changed), you gave 10 points of rep.
By the way, for anyone who cares, having negative rep *WILL REDUCE* the points awarded when you rep someone (plus or minus). Just as a positive rep of, say, 223 would increase your 'rep weight' by two, having a rep of -223 would reduce your impact by two. -

Quote:Actually, it's even simpler than that. If players change their playstyle and this causes prices to go up to "unacceptable" levels, then the players who find the prices unacceptable should change their playstyles to get more drops. If they don't get the items they want (which is likely), they'll get other things which they can sell in order to buy the ones they want. Problem solved without external intervention, which always has the possibility of causing more problems.I learned a bit more about the IO tables, but allow me to point out what is not being considered in regards to the WW market. Regardless if a player is paying more or not, or the gameplay is losing people getting drops...the core of that is controlled by....the Number of Drops. If players are playing differently, then COH should adjust. If players are coming into new wealth and splurging on IO's (which is impacting everyone in the game) you adjust the drop count in AE missions, PVP environments, etc. It is that simple.

Quote:No, and that wasn't my intent. I just generally dive in when I see someone making what appears to be statements of fact when they really aren't. This is a noble calling. You are right, I don't know for sure... but I think it is safer to assume that they didn't know than that they did. That whole innocent until proven guilty thing.
Also, is blindly maintaining the converse of my contention somehow better and more logical? (I am not accusing you of anything directly, just asking the question.)

Quote:Please add David Hume (level 50 ill/rad controller) to team 1.Once again, team two seems to have cooties.Quote:Please sign Minnie Taxi up for the TF. I enjoyed being on Team One last Saturday.

Quote:I trust you're aware that the server hardware was upgraded, so that the same number of players would result in a lower 'load'. If not, can we call you names too?Freedom and Virtue all show light where they used to show medium loads until Sept. So, the game is losing players and anyone saying otherwise is an idiot.

Quote:Thank you. This is exactly the point I was going to make, but scrolled down to see if anyone had already done so.Choice.
If 50 gave the best enhancement value (which it does) AND you kept all your set bonuses when exemplared, 50 would be the best IO level hands-down and everything else would be second-best.
But if you have to CHOOSE between top-flight enhancement percentages and utility when exemplared, well, for some people who want to exemplar a lot, those lower-level IOs start to look a lot better. They canchoose a slight;y lower percentage in some areas to get more flexibility. That makes these IOs viable options.
More options for a variety of different interests = a better game.
Short version: To give you tough decisions. -
Let me ask for some clarification: did an actual slot go away, or was it one that said 'available to redeem' (or words to that effect). With the store down, I would think you might be unable to redeem vet slots.
-
Quote:Well, not really. The aggro limits mean you can't have more than 17 attacking you at once. Certainly 17 is impressive, but your first claim was more than an order of magnitude worth of exaggeration.I build superior toons in CoX by careful examination of every tiny minute set bonus possible. My toons are able to solo 300 of any single type of boss in a single room.
The devs don't want AE used in this manner (i.e. ABNORMAL missions with imbalanced enemy groups). If that's the only part of the game you enjoy, then yes, you probably should leave because I REALLY don't think they're going to change their minds on this.Quote:What I enjoy is facing the hordes of enemies and laying waste to them all. I use no exploit what so ever. I expect to be rewarded for all my hard work, but the developers of this game insist on nerfing every high end challenge I can face.
My friends' who enjoy the same aspect of this game are all on the verge of quitting. I too am on the verge of quitting.
My question ... Is it time to quit? I can't seem to find any enjoyment left in this game and I don't want to abandon a game that I've invested so much in, but I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel.
Let me ask you something, though. Have you spent much time OUTSIDE of the AE building? Do you actually KNOW what the rest of the game is like, from personal experience? If you've tried every other part of the game, and the only thing you like is imbalanced AE missions, then it probably is time to move on. -
Quote:Your logic is sorely lacking. Over the lifetime of the game, the devs have made literally THOUSANDS of deliberate changes without telling anyone. So, to further your position, you *ASSUME* that did not occur in this particular situation? You don't know. Your declarations of RIGHT and WRONG are just little dots on the screen, conveying no useful information. Now we have two choices:
Therefore, the Devs changed it deliberately, and didn't tell anyone. WRONG
Therefore, the Devs must have changed something, that messed up the TF, and since I have no idea how their system works for calling maps, or placing glowies... I think it is safe to say they didn't mean to. After all, why would they deliberately mess up a TF and not say anything? RIGHT -
Quote:You keep talking about changes to glowies or bugs with the glowies and it really impacts the potential usefulness/value of the discussion. THE MAPS CHANGED! Just like any other item, glowies are positioned with a coordinate system in 3 dimensions. The maps were changed, intentionally or not, and the glowie coordinates caused them to be inaccessible. This is not a glowie issue. Multiple missions (FOUR) in the TF now have different maps. Are we all on the same page now? This methodology is flawed, because you're asking the devs to say "hey, we changed glowies" and let the populace test for bugs. Whether they test internally or with our help, it matters little since there's a lot of freakin' glowies in the game. Finding a needle in a haystack that large just isn't feasible.

Put me down for team two. I'll bring Ironblade, unless something else is needed.

I think this was being said by someone whose most important hero criterion is being hard to defeat. If you want to laugh at enemies that could defeat your teammates in one or two shots, yes, tank would be the way to go.

Laminating? Yeah, yeah, that's it. I'm laminating the card right now.

Quote:Impressive. I've hit those kind of numbers in a good week but it was too much like 'work'. (i.e. I did it to see if I could and haven't tried to even come close to those numbers again since it's too time-consuming.)Week 5 (14 Sept to 21 Sept)
Liquid cash: 229,116,032
Market bids: 139,807,395
Unsold goods: 288,001,230
Net asset value: 656,924,657
Ths above figure doesn't include 300m in uncollected dividends (Ruhe, Hell Jumper and Dumpleberry, you need to poke me if you see me around).
Weekly earnings were just over 250m, which I consider "normal",
I'll have to remember to hit up Ruhe if I need funds on Virtue.

Quote:uh huh.... And I can shove knitting needles into my eye sockets. But would I WANT to?Someone can complain about vet rewards now, just to increase the troll factor.
I start the game with three extra attack powers, I can get my travel power at level 6, and I can look like this:
