I'm disturbed that there is no mention of a fix for the Ernesto Hess TF. We were told that it was a simple error for Hess but that they would have to "take a look" at the Katie TF. Yet the Katie TF is getting fixed already.

Quote:I guess I qualify. I have not been to a single raid in the new format. However, with the old one, I've been hit point caller and was lead taunt on one occasion. At the time, my tank had Taunt slotted 3 recharge, 2 taunt, 1 range. I have less slots on it now with IO's and it's +60% taunt, +60% recharge, +20% range. With the new Hami, regen is more important than healing? He has 300% regen. We can find a position for just about anyone as long as you can follow directions and have a little patience,
Or I could bring a defender (emp or dark). Or something else. -
Presumably the thinking was that the Test Server (and, by extension, the Test Server forum) is a relatively limited audience and someone felt this deserved wider attention right now, instead of when it hits live.

I have to agree. I have a Core2 Duo, 2GB RAM and a 7950GT and my graphics are set pretty high, running a 1680x1050 monitor, and things still run fine. Only lag I've seen since Issue 16 is the usual business in the Imperious TF.
I haven't been on a RWZ raid since Issue 16, but anyone getting 1-2 FPS has something seriously broken. Issue 16 didn't do that. -
Pretty much anything.
Personally, I would pick something that can crank up the damage inflicted. How about a controller with a good AoE immob to hold enemies in the Burn patch, with a secondary that will improve the damage done (either by increasing your damage like Fortitude, Accelerate Metabolism, etc or by reducing enemy resistance like rad and sonic can do).
My emp was a fun duo with a fire tank. His secondary is dark so he has the AoE immob (Tenebrous Tentacles) and having Fortitude, Assault and Tactics on the tank cranked up the damage and hit rate.
Or you could just go all damage and take a fire blaster. It's not like you'll need a support toon to heal you, unless you go after AV's or something.
Or, going from scratch and starting two toons at level 1: What does SHE want to play? Does she have a preference? Let her pick something, then YOU pick a toon to synergize with it. -
Nice pic, but I must take exception to your thread title. 'Ebil' is not a verb.

Quote:Good-bye, then.well, iam a player that likes to PVP, and for that to happen i need to Farm to get those rare items. With this very low drops, i just waste my time running a BM farm 10 times to get one drop. I've tried every single setting there is, and i do not plan in spending tons of dollars buying influence online so i can slot my PVP heroes. before issue 16 drops were good, not they are super rare, even regular IO drops...
Good reason to move on to a different game until this gets somehow fixed.
Oh, by the way, the problem has already been solved and the fix is working its way through the release process so it should be on the live servers in a week or two. -
How about both. As I pointed out (I forget if it was in this thread or a different doom thread), SERVER POPULATION can be down while PLAYER SUBSCRIPTIONS are up. We have more players, but many of them are doing something else RIGHT NOW (like school, Aion, CO, etc).
-
Actually, I think the reason is this:
Up until that paragraph, his first post in this thread seemed calm and well-reasoned. Then he decided to get in peoples faces with the 'put up or shut up' bit.Quote:And give me a break with the "players can hide" bit and calling everyone who says the server populations are down doomsayers. If you're man/woman enough I invite to to come ingame with me RIGHT now or at a time specified and we can both tour the zones and then YOU tell me if we making it up, otherwise, shut up.
Expressing an opinion that is unpopular or not widely held certainly CAN prompt an unfavorable response. Concluding with "Prove me wrong or shut up." pretty much guarantees an unpleasant response. -
I would like to point out that the phrases "suck up" and "suck it up" have completely different meanings. The first refers to being a sycophant, while the second refers to perseverance or stoicism.

Quote:There are really two factors here and you're mixing them up a bit.there just wasn't many people on....and haven't been compared to the way it use to be .
i don't know why people are giving you a hard time with this,it's obvious player number are down.
Absolutely there used to be more players outdoors. So much so that the population was 'in your face' wherever you want. Over time, there have been a number of factors, including deliberate steps by the devs, to move the crowds off the streets and into instanced missions.
Also, we get these threads every year at this time. The server populations always drop dramatically in September. Please note the phrase I used; 'server populations', not 'players' as you said.
The SERVER POPULATIONS are currently down, but the PLAYER NUMBERS are not. This is a *KEY* distinction. The subscriptions numbers are UP, but people are playing less AT THE CURRENT TIME. Big difference. -

Quote:1. I agree with the poster who said the Tech forum is the place to post this. Definitely get a fast response over there. My computer has well over the recommended requirements for the game yet i have troubles playing at on any setting almost like its on a constant lag wen im in a big team.
2. You should be aware that the minimum system requirements listed on the web site are a total joke/fantasy. The 'recommended' requirements really aren't much better. We'd need to know your system stats when you post in the tech section.
3. Every new issue has made the game more demanding on system resources. Unfortunately, this is the nature of software in general. -
-
Well, it may be a setting you're overlooking or one that SEEMS to be set correctly. I would try this:
1. Log on a toon where the mouse works correctly.
2. Go to MENU, OPTIONS and hit SAVE OPTIONS TO FILE.
3. Switch to the toon with the problem and use LOAD OPTIONS FROM FILE.
4. Profit? -
My father was playing at age 70. (But he was never really that keen on the game and has gone back to playing just EQ2.)
The oldest player I know of, who is currently still playing, is 65. -
This isn't the market thread, where you need a screenshot for your 1 billion+ credentials. Hardly anyone posts screenshots in here.

(sigh) Don't be ridiculous. No one said this is 'working as intended'. All they said was that the cause of the problem is known.
