Quote:One additional consideration: if you aren't going to decide the disposition IMMEDIATELY, then craft it. The reason is this: When you visit a store, you can easily sell the recipe due to a mis-click, stuck mouse button, or lag. You CAN NOT sell a crafted IO at a store so you can't have that accident occur. And if I do get a purple drop, should I sell the recipe or should I craft it and then sell it?

Quote:Close to $300 for an 80GB drive. It depends on how deep your pockets are.And whether SSDs in general are worth the cash yet, I also do not know.
I don't think mine are that deep. I've already started considering components for my next system. I pre-ordered my copy of Win7. Definitely going with a Core i7 CPU, 6GB of DDR3. Haven't picked the mobo or video card yet. SSD performance sounds wonderful but it seems too expensive to me. Maybe in a year or two I'll install one as a 3rd drive and move CoH and some other big/high use programs over to it. -
Quote:They could use the inertial/drift effects of flying but have you stuck on the ground like running. Hardly perfect, but a start. That's one of the problems when these things come up. People think "Bike!" and assume that forward run is all you'll ever do, but if it can't strafe and turn on a dime, it'd be a pretty crappy travel power, and if it CAN, it'd be a very SILLY travel power. Bikes and other vehicles need an entire new subsystem to handle them. You can't just plop down a bike and expect regular in-game running to handle that.

Can anyone say offhand how much defense debuff resistance ice armor has? I know shield has plenty if you take the right powers (which I did). I plan to tank the ITF on my shield tank to get the costume parts. I have never taken my ice/SS into Cimerora and don't plan to.
FYI, while tanking the ITF on my invuln, I was monitoring base defense. They got me as low at -100% a couple of times. -
Quote:To be fair, 'aggro sponges' have their place. I have one tank built to be as indestructible as possible, at the expense of damage. I have another built for high damage and soloing with little thought to teaming and survivability against large spawns. The rest fall in between. It could be the Tank/s you were running with weren't designed to dish damage (I still see "aggro sponges" when I PuG).
I can't speak for others, but all of my Tanks are designed to defeat opponents as quickly as possible (the best damage mitigation there is), not just hold aggro and soak damage. -
Mission Computer
This has to be crafted at the basic Tech Workbench or Arcane Forge. Details are here on Paragonwiki. Note the part about it being listed in an odd section: under 'Raid' items.
RWZ Beacon
Fastest way to check if the SG has the badge to build this beacon: Open your badge window by clicking the word 'Badges' on your nav window, NOT from the personal info badge listing. Go to the 'Exploration' tab. At the bottom, click on 'Supergroup Badges' or 'Show SG Badges' or something like that. If the SG has the RWZ exploration badge, you can build the beacon.
Slow way to check: Go into the base. Go into edit mode and move to a teleport bay. See if the RWZ beacon is listed with all the others. -

I would suggest also posting in the section for whichever server the SG is on.
(Maybe you did. I searched on your name in the server section but didn't find anything, but the search function here.... isn't great.) -
Quote:Two small details:Liberator (For taking an item of power. The item of powers where removed after CoP trial... well some time after)
Bug-Hunter: (Given by a Dev to a player for finding a game-breaking bug (in theory))
1) Bug-Hunter is not impossible to obtain and there is nothing theoretical about people getting it.
2) The Liberator badge had its named changed to 'Power Liberator' to eliminate a conflict with another badge with the same name. (Liberator badge for completing the Eden trial.) -
Quote:Not really. A more accurate explanation:You can do TFC TFs at any time when you at min TF level or higher, even after you hit level 50. But if you missed on any of mayhems except last one, you are out of luck then...
Getting TF Commander before level 35 is completely impossible. Invader can be obtained at any time since you can do the missions at level 1 (you just won't get the temp power).
You are not "out of luck" at any point unless you have zero friends and are instantly despised by everyone you encounter in-game. -
Quote:And yet, every time I go into a PvP zone, most of the players are hidden. I can read an extended broadcast conversation between players actually fighting and see FEW or NONE of them listed on /whoall.LOL... ROTFL even... why hide in a PvP zone? I never do, never have, never will and I simply do not see the tactics of using it - but that is my opinion... First of all the enemy has to actually find you and they have to want to engage you. Just because you are hidden does nothing to help you if I see you and I want to engage you. I really do not see the logic in hiding.
-
I predict most channels setting it to the maximum value to give their message greater visibility, which results in exactly the same problem - except now it might interfere with an actual conversation, rather than being something that is over and done with immediately upon login.

I don't sell 'em; I roll 'em. All of my toons use up all their merits when they hit level 37. Once they're past 37, they only buy specific recipes (at relatively low levels).

Well, yes, but farming an instanced mission is FAR more efficient. Assuming the mission is level 50, set it for -1 level and the largest spawns you can handle. At a -1 setting, my fire/kin can handle spawns set for 8. This will get purples far faster than 'street sweeping'.

Oh, you know how it is.
"We are NOT arguing! We're discussing it!"

99% of the time, this is simply not true unless the team is completely unable to adapt to a change in the team composition. The other 1% is situations like the STF with the team specifically built around the tank. You can certainly do it with no tank, but if you built the team around the tank and he leaves, then you have a problem.
-
It's probably the missions. Some of the missions are considered 'badge missions' (even if they are arcs several missions long) because they automatically grant an Accomplishment badge upon completion.
As I recall, the 'badge missions' are listed last in each section. Also, there are generally two of them. In the 40-45 range, they are "Investigate the Psychic Signal' (for the Emancipator badge) and 'Nemesis Weather Control' (for the Meteorologist badge). I don't know if the Ouroboros listing has the same mission names. Sometimes they don't match the names we're accustomed to. -

Quote:I see what you did there. Well of the Furies. Watered down.Additionally, she has also genetically inherited superhuman strength and durability from her mother, Miss Liberty, who herself genetically inherited her fair share of superhuman strength and durability from her father, Statesman, who as we all know, got his powers by drinking water from the Well of the Furies.
Does this make Ms. Liberty an Incarnate, even if watered down a bit?

Sign me up for team one. I can bring whatever is needed, since all my toons have done this one.

There is tremendous variety within the AT's. The different defender sets are dramatically different from each other. Have you taken every defender set to 50? I'm working on it. I've taken empathy, dark, force fields, radiation and kinetics to 50. I have thermal at 40 currently. Still a ways to go to try them all.
Total nonsense. Lose this mindset and your options expand. Narrowminded (and wrong) thinking puts blinders on you.Quote:but let's be honest, if you don't invest at Wentworths or the Black Market, you're toon is going to be sub par at best. -
Quote:This is pretty much nonsense because it's entirely dependent on what kind of tank and what you're replacing them with. Plenty of tanks do excellent damage. My ice tank does massive damage: Rage + Icicles + Ice Storm + Footstomp is nasty. The stomp comes after the storm to keep them from running off and they're dead before they can stand up again. We know that all-Defender, all-Controller, all-Scrapper, and all-Blaster teams can be very successful. I am wonder about all-Tanker teams, though.
I have a reason for asking this question. It's not so much that I want to try a team of all Tankers. It's more about justifying teams where more than 2 members are Tankers. Any time I have been in this situation, the kill speed drops way, way low, and it becomes evident that dropping one of the tanks for ANY other archetype would be an effective switch.
Replace ANY tank with a force field defender and your damage is NOT going up. Replace any tank with a fire blaster and sure your damage will be higher. Give me 6 tanks plus 2 rads or darks and I'll show you epic carnage. There's just so much variability in team line-ups that +/- one tank can mean damage goes up OR down. -
