  1. I know this may sound like a "newb" question and yes I also know there are those of you who don't like the term "newb" whenever it is used,
The word 'newb' is fine. It's the distinction between 'noob' and 'newb' that matters and you have it right.

So, with that being said, let's say you have one Invention Set such as Scirocco's Dervish for PBAoE Damage that give's you with two enhancements a Regeneration of 10%. Now, I pick up another Invention Set let's say Devastation for Range Damage that with two enhancements will give you a Regeneration of 12%. So if I add the 10% from my Scirocco's Dervish with my 12% from my Devastation, that would bring my total regeneration up to 22%? This would go for the other bonuses within that enhancement set such as Health and Damage,..etc. Every time you have one set has the same bonus e.g. Damage 3% from one set plus Damage of 2% from another set = 5% Damage would that be correct? Also, does it cap at 100% and anything over is not used?
You've got it all straight. There are caps but I don't think you can hit *ANY* of the hard caps with just set bonuses. You would need external buffs from another play to worry about that.

This also brings to light when viewing your powers under the "set-bonuses" area and you have some enhancements that say Moderate Healing Bonus or Superior Damage Bonus. I would guess that these would change as you stack more enhancements to "round" out your toon's powers would that be correct?
No. All those bonus names will not change; you'll just have more of them. If you slot a set that gives you a 'Moderate Recharge Bonus', and then slot another set in another power, the phrase 'Moderate Recharge Bonus' will appear twice. I have a tank with 300% regeneration. I have the 12% bonus five times, 10% bonus five times, 8% bonus five times, etc. Every single one is listed separately on the info window.

HOWEVER: When you open the combat attributes listing and look at your actual numbers, each name will be listed ONCE and the numbers added. So if you have three of 'Moderate Recharge Bonus' and two of 'Large Recharge Bonus', each of those names will get listed once in the recharge section and the figure for the 'Moderate' will be the larger number since it has 3 of them added together.

In theory, yes. In practice, there are so many details like this that the tutorial would have so much text the vast majority of people would not read any of it.

You lose your set bonuses if you exemp more than 3 levels below the level of the IO.
Some uniques act like set bonuses and some don't, but you lose the bonus if you lose the power.
Except purples, where you never lose the bonus.
Unless you do an Ouro arc with the 'No Enhancements' challenge setting.
    ugh.

    'Approbation' means approval.
    I think you meant 'opprobrium'.

I tried this on a stone tank. Once you hit 5 7.5 boosts, that's it. no more count.

You can still get other recharge boosts, like 5%, or 6.5%, or 10% (purple), but you can only have 5 of any single named IO bonus effect.
You are correct they are limited by name. And, since the LotG recharge has a different NAME from the other 7.5% bonuses, you can have five of each.

Since the revamp of the Hollows, this is entirely true, IF YOU ARE SOLO. Get on a team, even if your teammates are in another zone, and you'll have no problem finding them. If you can find 2+ people who can join you in the Hollows to hunt them, you'll be done in no time.

Same situation with Venomous badge - toxic tarantulas. I noticed I had about a dozen after I reached lvl 50 with my scrapper, but I don't remember where or how I ran into them. The only thing I've found online about them is that they can occasionally be found in RWZ. Also told they might be found in Recluse's Victory - but all I find in there are Fire tarantulas and such - no toxic tarantulas.
No easy one for this. If you can assemble 8 players, farm the first mission of the Statesman TF. Fast, but finding the other 7 hunters is the hard part. I got mine in RV. The key fact is that they are not part of the static zone spawns - they only occur in roving patrols and only under certain circumstances. Unfortunately, this was a while ago and I can't recall whether it's during hero control of the zone, villain control or when it's resetting or neutral.

If I was hunting them today.... the first thing I would try is setting virtual team size to 8 and try some door missions in Warburg. This is pretty effective with a full team so it MIGHT also work with the virtual team settings. I've seen as many as 7 or 8 in one mission (with a full team - have not tried this with the new settings).

Then I guess you're deliberately acting the fool. We're not talking about events in the game. We're talking about software development. Sounds like 'real life' to me.

Hello? McFly? Sure, they can SIMULATE running under load, but the simple fact is that it's not going to give the same results as ACTUAL load. Why do you think we get product recalls of cars and their components all the time? Testing simply can not accurately reflect the massive variability in real-world conditions. It just can't. That's why there's a test server. Internal testing will never be as effective as having the end users beat up the software. And if the test server doesn't have enough people on it, then there is no way at all to be sure what's going to happen under full load. None at all.

No, that one comment isn't so bad. It's just getting tiresome. I quote from the AE Anonymous MotD you posted: "So. I hear little from them Hamidon Channel lately." Plus you had some remarks that came across as snide on the IH channel itself. No one of these warranted comment, but enough is enough.

Anyway, yes I'm an Op on the channel. I'm not certain how many there are in total; I know of 4 counting myself. We're not just about Hamidon. I, for example, wouldn't know jack about running a Hami raid but have run a number of mothership raids. So let me know if you set up a raid. I have a tank who's done lead taunt at the old style raid and I'm loaded with EoE. I've never been to one of the new format raids.
  13. Carry on. I'm out. The game is back up!

Yeah, probably, since you're spelling the name wrong. You're referring to WESLEY when his name is spelled WESTLEY and refers to someone else.

False. While I have seen it ranked as low as fifth, it DOES still often rank as #3. Maybe time of day is a factor, I dunno. But "no longer is remotely close" is patently untrue.

Seriously though, did you somehow miss the last thread about this? Or the one before it? Or the one before that? And no, the fact that it has been mentioned a lot does NOT mean the idea has merit. The majority of people once thought the Sun orbited the Earth, the Earth was flat, etc. An idea can be completely wrong and still get plenty of traction for various reasons.

    Whee! Cranky necro-post!
  19. err.... I bought one once, but it was from someone who found himself the last person left in the group.

maybe buy it off of me before I deside to give it to an SG member
Since you still have one or more members, have you talked to them about this? Personally, I would be less than thrilled if an SG I was in got SOLD to a stranger.
  20. These days, level 50 seems to have become something that just happens.
It was always that way. Even the most casual player is guaranteed to get to 50 if they keep playing. There is no chance of failure, perma-death, etc.

and there hardly being much content at all anymore that you play through on your way to max level?
I think you need to look at this from a different angle. More and more content has been added. Therefore, it's impossible to do it all while you're 'on the way up'. Even if leveling speed had not been adjusted, you still couldn't do it all. This is a GOOD thing. Particularly since you can always 'go back' and do it later.

Is that just me? Is that just at higher levels? Or is there anybody else that thinks this game feels a little too fast and 'easy to beat' for someone that doesnt have altitis and hasnt played every single bit of content already?
Kind of. They've 'adjusted' the leveling rate so many times (always in the same direction); I think they've gotten a bit carried away.

    Firstly, it's not Cremzen's channel.

Secondly, is there some reason you can't organize something without putting other people down?

If you do schedule a raid, I'd be more than happy to post it in the Infinity Hamidon MotD in an effort to maximize the number of participants. Also, my tank has been buying EoE at silly low prices at WW and has about 25 stockpiled.

If there is no comment, they were giving +rep. -rep requires some comment (some people just put a period).

If the dot is grey, it means their 'rating' (not the same as their rep) is too low to affect yours. The rep you award is based on a combination of your rep, how long you have been registered on the boards and how many posts you have. If you've been around a bit, but have negative rep, you might award zero, for example.
  24. No one seems to be sure. The Pool A drop rate *IS* affected by ranking. See details and chart on this page on Paragonwiki.com. Whether purples are in Pool A, or a separate table......

On the bright side, bosses have a chance to drop a recipe from the TF/Trial pool.
