Quote:If you want to 'mess around' in even greater detail, you can change your graphics settings to advanced mode. Instead of that slider, you will be able to individually control a great number of settings. So, I was looking at my options and just messin around and seeing what things do when I notice my graphics setting.
I notice that it is set at "recommended"(which is one down from the top) which is fine but I wanted to see what the top graphic setting looked like...
FYI, some people find some of the graphics settings genuinely ugly and have them turned off/down for reasons having nothing to do with performance. Advanced mode gives you much greater customization. -

Quote:Or even:Alternatively, maybe when you try to take a name on a server, instead of telling you the name is already being used, it generates a list of playful taunts like "Come on, that's a pretty boring name," or "You can do better than that. Try again."
"Did you really think such a common name would be available? Are you STUPID? Are you going to try the name Spiderman next?"

Quote:You should have been there when we did the Shard TF's with an ice tank. Not every tank is suited to every type of enemy. This is why I've never taken my ice tank on the ITF.um, no, my memory is good enough to recall that *YOU* are Frost Hammer.Quote:Was that Frost Hammer? I know he's done a couple of those (Sara Moore and Faathim the Kind), but I don't remember much about them or how well he did/didn't do.

I was referring to Frosti Fists. -
Quote:If you've got the influence or merits for those items, you're fine.I am L18 and I have a miracle in heal now and at 20 I will get stamina and at 21 I will put in a chance for + end in that also. When I get to L27 I have a Numina recovery to also put in heal. With all this is PP still needed?
I have the Miracle unique slotted, and the Numina's unique, and the Perf Shifter proc. I took Dark Consumption (dark melee END stealing power) at level 38, thinking I would need the endurance, but hardly ever use it. I just hit 44 and, since my END problems were pretty much non-existent, I took Focused Accuracy as my 10th toggle power. -
Quote:LOL! Price caps are the solution to all problems. Sorry, no, price caps are a bad idea and would hurt most players. You know what I just realized would help eliminate the need for bid creeping? Price caps. Set them low enough, and everyone can just bid the max and know that they'll never get it but keep hoping that they will. It eliminates complaints from people who say prices are too high on the market. It makes it easier for me to get richer. It can't be that hard to implement on the dev side. Everybody wins.
Well, perhaps not 'most' since many don't use the market at all. Price caps would only negatively impact those who do use the market. -
Because it's not broken. The problem is clearly at your end since no one else is having this problem. That's an odd one. Maybe the game uses different sound files for tells sent and tells received and one is corrupted?

Quote:Hey, if nobody dies on a TF (and it isn't a master run), it's obviously not challenging enough to be fun!Not just the Rularuu - the Nemesis guys were kicking his butt pretty soundly, too. I've played this tanker on several TFs, and it's not like he's never face-planted before, but never before has he felt so darned squishy.
Things did get pretty hectic a few times, and more than once there were more bad guys attacking than (IMO) the team was equipped to handle. My guy wasn't the only one pausing periodically to inspect the flooring.
You should have been there when we did the Shard TF's with an ice tank. Not every tank is suited to every type of enemy. This is why I've never taken my ice tank on the ITF.
Of course, no tank is suited to Nemesis. They cheat. They can stack Vengeance without limit.
As for suggestions, I got nuthin'. Part of the reason is that I don't have an electric armor tank. Another part is that I wouldn't design my build for dealing with Rularuu or Nemesis. You don't run into them that often and there isn't much you can do about them anyway. The best use of IO's varies by tank type. On a defense set, you can get your numbers up past the soft cap. Some sets particularly benefit from recharge. In general, if there's no obvious path of IO'ing, just go for regen. It's generally the first bonus in a set and you can accumulate a lot of it. My invuln has 300% regen. On tanker hit points, that's pretty effective.
Also, do you have Tough? I have Tough on almost every one of my tanks and on my brute. It makes a noticeable difference. -
Too many web sites are put together by people who think themselves authorities. This site has it spelled 'tush'. Interestingly, there seems to be close to a 50/50 split of the spelling on various sites.Quote:Just copied and pasted off of some lyric website.
I don't have the album so I can't check the liner notes. And the bands official site doesn't have the lyrics. The word 'touche' is clearly wrong, based on the definition, but it wouldn't be the first time song lyrics deliberately had words wrong. Anyone have the album? -
Sign me up for team one.
Maybe I'll bring the ninja bunny. -
Quote:Nuns are a bad example. The principal of my elementary school was Sister John.Maybe it's really supposed to be "Stephanie", and she just doesn't like it? Like back in the day on Father Dowling Mysteries - his nun sidekick was properly Sister Stephanie, and she always preferred to be called Sister Steve.

Quote:It is impossible to "corner the market" on stuff with infinite supply.
I couldn't bring myself to read the rest of your post, but that whopper needed correction.Except it *IS* literally infinite because the 'supply' springs into existence out of nothingness. And it's blatantly obvious that no player can control another players access to the supply. How do you stop a player from doing missions or farming in AE?Quote:No matter how you read it, that its wrong.
If you read it as being a large and renewing supply, well almost all agricultural commodities are in the same boat and all have been cornered.
If you read it as a supply that will increase with demand oil is the counterexample
If that is to be read as literally infinite, then it is not applicable to any situation being spoken of and even if it were so all it would take is control of access to the supply. -
Quote:Too long, sometimes.I guess its worth asking how much time you think bid creeping takes.
More than once, I've been buying recipes and I'll evaluate what levels are bargains and possibly put in low bids at several levels and wait a few days and end up quite pleased that I got a recipe for 8 million when most of the recent prices are 50 - 100% higher.
Then I'll start buying the salvage, see that an item has a range of 2,000 to 7,000 and start bid creeping - until I slap myself and regain a sense of proportion and stop wasting time over a matter of a few thousand infl.

Quote:1) Yes, I read all of it.Did you not read the rest of my post?
Do I have to type "(j/k)" after every statement that can be taken poorly out of context?
2) Given that there are no facial expressions or other cues for written text, and given that this was not part of a long discourse from you where we would have been able to pick up the 'tone' of your message; yeah, you need to be pretty blatant on the internet. -
Quote:Yeah, I don't care for it either. However, the Gravity Control power 'Propel' pulls from the same list of random objects and there is nothing so cool as finishing off an enemy by smacking him with a coffin.Count me as another one; I find nothing funny or cute about being turned into a desk lamp.

Quote:ORLY?To the extent duplicate naming is an issue and might "confuse" people who are otherwise seemingly intelligent enough to type and use computers, I think that using the currently existing name-coloring system (check your options tab if you haven't enabled it) is one way to alleviate any such confusion and allow said intelligent people to continue to communicate effectively.
Please, kind sir, explain to me how we can tell the difference between two names that are spelled the same and are also the SAME COLOR? Yes, you can turn on the color names, but the color selected for each name is based on a mathematical formula and is NOT under player control.
Maybe you should learn how things work before you get sarcastic and force some of the "said intelligent people" to explain things for you.

Pretty much. I have it bound to a key so I can keep hitting it while moving and observing if I'm getting 'hotter' or 'colder'.

When I saw the thread title, I was going to come in and post, "I gave it back to you last night, goober!"
So, anyway, as the reader might conclude, I had a guy in his SG in order to farm the healing badges since, even at the new reduced levels, an SG with few or no healers will take between "a long time" and "forever" to get the medical aux items.
Since I'm done with that SG, are there any others who find themselves unable to get the SG healing badges? All you need to do is invite my character (you can leave him at the lowest rank) and you'll have the first two healing badges in a few days (I might stick around to get you the 3rd one if no other SG's are waiting but, with inspiration combining, the 3rd item is pretty much useless).
I don't charge for this and, so far, have earned the healing badges for 22 SG's.
