Yeah, not so much of a challenge. I don't know how many runs it would take but, since the introduction of merits I've been tracking the TF's I do with my main character, and he's done Positron 35 times.

Quote:hm, I think you're making up this origin story. My impression was that "signature" did not refer to "named", but referred to the task forces identified with the SIGNATURE CHARACTERS. Moonfire is a nobody. Synapse is a major character but Mynx is his sidekick so she's only a trainer. Statesman is the preeminent hero of the era but Imperious is an obscure historical figure.1. It's just wrong. Signature means 'named' and Moonfire or Imperious are names and have eponymous TFs just like Positron and Synapse. The name 'Signature' came about to differentiate the Freedom Phalanx TFs from the non-named respec trials, which were scalable in level.

Quote:This. As an example of actual use, I have a fire/thermal corruptor so my primary powerset is full of ranged attacks and my secondary has ally shields, buffs, heals and enemy debuffs. If I need to rebuff in combat, it looks like this:1) About the healing mousover thing. There is no way to 'target' just by mousing over in COH. However, you could do what I do whenever I play defenders is target through people. All you have to do is click on the team mates name in the team window and you can immediately attack the target he is targeting.
Target first teammate. Apply Shield 1. Apply Shield 2. Fire an attack (which targets whatever that teammate is attacking).
Target next teammate. Apply Shield 1. Apply Shield 2. Fire another attack.
etc. -
Quote:Ah, so you're of the position that all new development should cease until all existing issues are fixed?I'm not surprised that it rolled out at the time that it did... rather that it actually happened at all. There are other parts of this game (namely the signature TFs) that are woefully "out of date" and have been with just as much if not more "time" to set right.
The devs have already stated that introducing new content takes precedence over revamping old content. I am in complete agreement with this position as it results in MORE content. -

Quote:magic is hands down the best and the cyborg Self-Destruct Power is a joke, trust me, i seen a friend who used it, don't even think twice about itWell, what do you expect. That opinion was coming from someone who:Quote:Or, feel free to. I do know someone who uses it more frequently. And yes, I've heard someone talk about having their "defective android" character - Self Destruct is set on auto.
1) admits he is basing his opinion on seeing a friend use the power
2) thought he could use the Mystic Fortune buff on pets -

It's definitely not a 'must have'. I have it on my invuln "just in case" but rarely use it. When things get nasty, my first step is to use the Eye of the Magus accolade power. That gives you one minute of 'god mode' with no downside.

Bid on more levels and wait longer? I have two full sets on my Shield tank. It took a while (over two weeks) getting the procs but I was able to get them off the market. I did end up having to buy one of the quads using merits, though.

I think he understands that. I certainly do. Conversely, plenty of people are willing, even EAGER, to 'work their a** off' in order to get 'the good stuff'. Not everyone plays the game to experience fun at all times. Some people play the game to ACHIEVE. They have goals and will grind/work/whatever to get there. And it doesn't matter if it's not fun, or we don't see the point.

Quote:Some do. And some of us put an epic beatdown on anyone who bothers us. I spent a lot of time in RV collecting badges (1,000 Pillboxes the hard way; 85 Contaminated in the train station). I recall hearing that most of the 'real' PvP'ers are in the arena and not the zones. I would agree, seeing as how I wiped the floor with most of the people who bothered me while I was collecting badges. Most of them seemed to be Stalkers who figured invisibility guaranteed victory and would gloss over their incompetence. Probably 1 or 2 Stalkers out of every 10 actually knew what they were doing, and THEY were NASTY. The majority of the people in the PvP zones (back when they were more active - I'm not in there much lately) were bad enough that a badger could slap them around.I wouldn't tell it to a badger because they're of no concern when it comes to pvp. Except of course when they come into a pvp zone and start complaining because pvp didn't come to a halt so they could badge. Fortunately the fact that it's pvp makes this problem self-correcting since they just get run over in traffic.

But it seems that most people DON'T do it that way. I see broadcasts all the time in PI "AV team LFM" where they are already part way through the arc. I've been on such teams where the turnover results in about 15-20 heroes being involved over the full length of the arc.
Sure, if someone has the arc, they don't need to worry about a list. (As long as they remember Black Swan.) Everyone else needs a list. -
You seek cat-themed conflict?

Quote:Nope. All of the items I highlighted are BANISHED from any of my power trays in order to save space for other stuff. I access all of those items from keybinds which are standardized across all of my toons (and noted on a template which rests above the F1-F12 keys).It consists of:
* Jump Pack
* Pocket D VIP Pass
* Base Transporter
* Ouroboros Portal
* Demon Pet (whichever looks-only pet happened to choose)
* Assemble the Team
* Self Destruction
* Mission Transporter
* Walk
* Ninja Run
Have other folks done something similar?
Many of my toons have nothing in tray 4 because I got rid of the repetitive items. On those that have stuff in tray 4, it's generally stuff not used often, like the Warburg missiles. -
Were you in the wrong? No.
Was the other person a jerk? Most definitely.
FYI, my opinion is similar to that of the obnoxious person. I'm not keen on people 'inviting themselves'. Therefore, I always decline. But I do so POLITELY. -
Congratulations. The previous ones were easy but, in my experience, most people will get this one wrong. You did not.

'Spent', not 'invested'. Let's see:
$0 - first account created with 'buddy code' - no retail package
$702 - subscription, taking into account reduced rate for buying in larger blocks
$20 - CoV
$10 - Good vs Evil pack
$20 - Mac edition
$20 - AE edition
$30 - 3 booster packs (got one free with AE Edition, did not buy Wedding pack)
$802 (average $15/month)
$20 - Good vs Evil edition to create second account
$336 - subscription, taking into account reduced rate for buying in blocks
$20 - Mac edition
$20 - AE edition
$30 - 3 booster packs, same as main account
$406 (average $17/month)
$1208 total.
While I did get a free month with each of those retail editions, this is balanced by the fact that I have already paid for future time.
So both accounts cost about $32 per month, on average. That's a bit less than my DSL bill. Quite a bit less than my cable bill. A third of what I spend on gas. Sounds like a bargain to me.

Bad LaRose! Double threads! tsk tsk tsk!

So anyway, welcome back.

Hadn't you heard? Due to the jerk hackers, the game is gone to the Americans!
