Quote:Really? Yet that's how it has ALWAYS been. Also, invuln is regarded by many people as the second-toughest set (after stone). That opens a whole new can of worms.
Let's look at the Invuln powers. It has TWO powers focued on Defense. Invincibility, and Tough Hide. That's it, and ONE of those can only take 3 slots without getting mauled by Diminishing returns.
The other SEVEN powers are Resistance exclusively? That strikes me as a pretty massive freaking screw up in the design department. -

Quote:FYI, calling someone a "noob" is an insult. The word "newb" is pronounced the same but has a different meaning. The reason we never grew is that I hate recruiting and handling noobs.

hm, rather lame. When I build a new system, it's because my old one is becoming underpowered for high-end apps. It's good enough for 'regular' use so I give it away. It kind of needs a power cord.....

The text for the progress bar makes it clear that you can't get the badge until you are level 35.
If you're 35+ and have a full progress bar, try zoning or relogging. Day Job badges don't always show up immediately. The last few I've earned showed up immediately in the 'Most Recent' section but just showed a full progress bar and no badge in the 'Day Jobs' section. -

Quote:Well, they can make most of the problems go away. That alone should be enough clues that fighting underwater... is probably a bad idea all round.
1) Have a temp power that is a one-hero submersible or diving suit which works like one of the Halloween temp powers - now there is only one model to deal with.
2) Since you're fully enclosed, none of your powers can be used - the power toggles them off, just like the Walk power. Second problem eliminated.
3) The diving suit power can only be toggled on or off in an area designated 'airlock'.
This eliminates 99%* of the animation issues but can still give us a water zone with 3 axes of movement that we can explore. Any fighting just has to be done in an underwater lab, submarine, air-filled cave, etc.

Quote:Don't the snow dudes drop salvage?Holiday sales of common salvage will likely reach record highs as people continue merit farming on Winter Lord mishes to the point of exhaustion. The amount of people not doing regular missions will push salvage costs to record highs not seen since the great market inflationary period immediately following the introduction of AE, unless the devs act soon.

Quote:Unless you're buffing yourself. The one thing I don't understand about wanting perma-hasten nowadays is that Hasten combined with the recharge bonuses you need to get hasten into the perma range well reduce your attack recharge times to the point that if you don't have someone buffing your endurance recovery, you'll run out of endurance faster than a Gunstar after Death Blossom.

My earth/rad controller has almost reached perma-Hasten, which means he already has perma-Accelerate Metabolism. Woo hoo! -

Quote:It still is.Once upon a time, There was no 'required' power pools. You didn't have to stress over Set bonuses or 'Optimal Slotting'. In short, The game was playable (and enjoyable) no matter how hardcore or how casual I decided to be.
Ah! It sounds like what you actually miss is the way tanks were grossly overpowered and were able to handle an entire team's worth of enemies without assistance. This was not a good thing for the game and teaming overall, despite the fact that some people liked it. If you want to tank for a big team, you'll probably need their help to stay alive. *OR* you can get hardcore by picking certain pools and using IO's to accomplish things that aren't really intended.Quote:Now, however, I find that without specific power pools, specific IO sets, and perfect Spec, I can no longer just jump into any aspect of the game I want to and be competitive. It feels that the post-50 game has devolved into a gear race/Theorycrafters only kind of game (primarily because of the invention system). -
Quote:This was my first thought also. I had the exact problem and the fix worked for me....you have AVG.
There's a hotfix on their forums.
The actual fix will be out soon.

Quote:And for every one of those teams, there will be five that just say "Bring whatever you want."I think the assumptions in the OP are just that, assumptions. For every team that "needs" a Controller over a Dominator because of their added durations, there will be a team interested in killing speed who will appreciate a Dom's ability to be ease the alpha strikes and kill things before the duration of their CC wears off.

Level 10 IO's stink and level 50 IO's are very powerful. Level 25 simply happens to be below the point where they surpass SO's. There had to be some point where the IO's became better and it just happens NOT to be by level 25. No 'reason' other than that.

Quote:No you just have to tag at least the lord and maybe his guardians. I´m pretty sure i didnt do 10% of the damage and i got canes and merits on 2 separate runs and i was solo.This. The same standards do NOT applly for badges and 'other rewards'. I've arrived late to a GM fight, got ONE hit in, and got my merits. No badge though.Quote:Getting canes and merits does not necessarily mean Badge credit as well. It's been shown many times with several GMs that you can earn merits without inflicting enough damage to get the badge. The "10%" rule is just a standard people use to ensure badge credit, but the actual value may be less than that.
Also, regarding the percentage, it is 10%. Issue 7 patch notes:
I will point out, it is possible that this is not a 'standard' defeat badge. For example, the badge for defeating Lusca is granted to everyone in the area, even if they have done ZERO damage.Quote:Defeat Badges now require that you or your team do 10% or more damage to the entity to receive credit for the badge. (The former system required that you deal 25% or more damage to get credit). -

Quote:Yes, you state the obvious. My rad got the badge at level 34 because there were always high level teams announcing that they were doing the arc and "needed a rad". But since they weren't generally doing the entire arc in one sitting, I (and they) needed to make a list. The sure-fire way to get all the necessary AVs is to do the Tina McIntyre and Maria Jenkins arcs through Ouroboros.
You make my point for me.Quote:If you've reached fifty and have no idea which one you're missing, this will do it.
"If you've reach fifty and have no idea which one you're missing, YOU SHOULD HAVE MADE A LIST!"

I'm sure you could. We took him out with about 15 heroes at one point and, as far as I could tell, we had ZERO debuffs. I've defeated regular zone GM's with teams as small as 3 with good debuffs and some people have soloed them.

Quote:I'm curious, why do so many people use that link? I know the wikia one is bad, but the site is called PARAGONWIKI.
Why don't people use: http://paragonwiki.com
It just seems easier to remember since the site name and URL are the same. -
I'm not familiar with that particular IO but the purples slotted on my main certainly work that way. When they fire, I get an additional orange number over the head of my target. I recently put two procs in one of my tanks' damage auras. I should keep an eye on that.

And they ae turning off power in our coal base,
