Quote:I can't help you on Liberty, but if anyone else reading this thread needs help on Virtue, I can do that!

Or you could just create a disposable toon on any server needed. It literally takes seconds (i.e. under a minute) to create a toon. Back in the day of the prestige grant / SG padding, I created over 600.

Article on ZDNet comparing XP vs Vista vs Windows 7 here.
From the final page:
Quote:Conclusion
Windows 7 performs better than Vista and is also faster than XP, although XP remains more capable for devices with limited memory and outdated graphics. -
Quote:Robert Cringely thinks Intel is going to buy nVidia.Intel has canceled release of a discrete, Larabee-based graphics card for 2010. What does that mean? It means there will be even less competitive price pressure for ATI and Nvidia next year.

A few days isn't that long. Enhancements don't drop anywhere near as much as they used to, unless you're fighting AV's.

Quote:No, this is what I was talking about with the AI change. This USED TO work. But now, any gladiators set to passive will ignore the setting and attack and kill any enemy that damages them. This will end the match. If you get several people interested (at least 4 people on the healing team) and want to try for slightly higher healing output, you can, as he mentioned, have the opposing team attack your group from a distance with Shivans. Their ranged attack is an AOE.

Quote:I saw Nosferatu cry for his momma - right after I dropped a Shivan and hit it with Fortitude, Adrenalin Boost and Regeneration Aura - while running all three Leadership toggles.Last time I came against him in one of those ouro 1-man TFs I just Shivan'd him. Take that, you crazy old nazi. He still roughed the shivan up if I remember.
I really quite enjoyed seeing him getting beaten like a rented mule.

Quote:THIS!Um, I know I made my Thermal's powers all look like actual fire, so no green healing flames.
I have a fire/thermal corruptor whose costumes are all red and black. What is this GREEN STUFF????
I've only changed the colors on 3 toons:
1) The one mentioned above.
2) An invuln/EM tank whose 'pink pom-poms' are now white to match his costumes. First costume is green+white, next is red+white, then blue+white and gold+white.
3) I have an earth/rad named Agent Pitchblende who wears black & grey. His stone powers are all back and grey except the rock dude - he uses the lava theme to look like black stone with green molten parts to match the radiation power colors. I've gotten several compliments on that one item. (FYI, pitchblende is uranium ore.)
Generally, I don't change the colors because I've built the bio and/or costume around the colors we had for years and I'm used to each character having certain colors. NEW characters will be more customized. -
Quote:Okay, that's you. Under no circumstances do I ever wait until 50 to IO a toon (excluding ones that were already 50 when IO's were introduced). And I NEVER EVER IO with level 50 IO's (excluding purples and IO's in powers that I got at level 47+).Under no circumstances do I bother filling up on setIOs before 50. What would be the point beyond building specifically to dominate in the lower level PvP zones? Hitting 50 is now SO EASY, even solo, why bother?
I exemp a lot and slot IO's accordingly.
P.S. It's not for PvP, either. -
Quote:On the other hand, some of us exemp a lot and NEVER slot the IO's at max level. Unless, of course, it's a set that tops out at 35 or less.I think you've vastly underestimated us then.
Most of us are already aware that the IOs are better than SO strength...that's not a selling point. People who deal with IOs extensively are often pretty experienced character builders.
The only ones I'd even have the slightest interest in are the ones I've already mentioned and you'll have no problems selling those. The rest, even if I bought them at 1 inf and relisted them at 10% going rates, would sit in my market slots for weeks on end. That would end up costing me quite a bit of influence in the long run because each of my market slots earn me a considerable amount.
This isn't an indictment against you, but more a reflection of the fact that the market heavily favors items that are max level. -
Quote:Wow, you're pretty ornery for a guinea pig dressed in LAVENDER!I must say you aren't very good at this sort of thing. I am not to worried about you 'soloing me'. And seeing you think there is any challenge at all in soloing avs at all that pretty much speaks for itself as to how little you grasp any real sense of challenge.

Quote:Forget all of that. It no longer applies. Gladiator AI was changed. Do what Netminder said.I have seen a very comprehensive guide to this method on the Forum but now cannot relocate it. (On the old Forum maybe?) It talked in depth about team makeup and enemy positioning et cetera.
A hero can get a maximum of 4 fillers on the team after getting 3 Wardens (yes, you want 3). A villain can get 5 fillers due to having access to cheaper gladiators.
You need someone on the opposing team in order to have an arena match. They must have at least 1 gladiator on their team or the match instantly ends.
To increase rate of progress: get more players with their own gladiators on your team. Twice as many gladiators = twice as much healing. Are you by any chance on Infinity? I do this on a regular basis to earn the healing badges for SG's that can't get them on their own. I've earned the badges for 24 SG's so far. (If anyone has an SG on Infinity in that situation, PM me.

Also I used an online power calculator before my first post. You have plenty of power. The PSU might be dying, but it's not too small.
-
Yep. It just means the leader should have the combat tab open so he/she can see when the weapons start doing zero damage.
-
No no no! Unlike most of the wuss enemies, he's actually a CHALLENGE. Does that mean some people can't solo him? Yes, it does. Especially a defender. Having said that, it is most certainly possible. I've soloed him on a scrapper, tank and defender so far. An empathy defender.
But we really REALLY don't want him nerfed.

I recently got my 54 month badge (4-1/2 yrs). I can't guess how long between me starting this game and doing the trial for the first time; months certainly.

Quote:It's possible. While I said that I had a spreadsheet for my character, I went through the OP's powers on a piece of paper. I looked up the set bonuses and came up with 168% (sans Numina) but I could have made an error.OK, so now you've got my OCD going!
I do not think the 188% includes the Numina Unique.
The numbers still don't seem right to me, but I'm not digging that paper out of the trash AGAIN.

Yeah, trial accounts are teh gimp!
