Quote:You seem to be confused. For the person who said "It might be cuz the devs decided to be nice," I'd totally agree - IF you've already got an NA account. To those in the EU it's just another indication that we're really not very important.
EU and NA customers are receiving exactly the same benefit. -
Quote:You seem a bit confused. So we get an announcement today that we can have a free character transfer, for 6 days. But, we'll lose SGs, Prestige, and all sorts of stuff and possibly our names too.
You can have a maximum of 6 transfers PER WEEK, until the end of January.
When you transfer, you MIGHT lose your name on the server you just left and it MAY OR MAY NOT be available on your destination server. (You should check in advance.)
You lose NOTHING ELSE. If you're in an SG, you will leave it behind, but it was never one of your possessions. Any prestige stays with the SG, but it wasn't yours - it belonged to the SG the second you earned it. Anything in base storage stays there, because it isn't your possession any longer. Anything ON YOUR PERSON or IN THE AUCTION HOUSE will go with you. For any other details, read here. -
I don't care for the idea, but I don't oppose it, either, since I could easily ignore it.
The game has plenty of aspects that I simply ignore. It doesn't make them bad, or a mistake to implement; they're just not for me. -
Quote:As you just said, if someone has never used it before, they don't understand how it works. Despite it having been available for a long time, this is not something that most of the population has utilized. Accordingly, most people probably don't know any of the details - and the GMOTD phrasing was... sub-optimal.According to the wiki, this functionality has been in the game for more than two years. If you've never used it before, I can see how you wouldn't understand how it works. But why would anyone assume that they deliberately changed it to screw up characters as part of the holiday gift packaging?

Well, if you have a pathological hatred of RP, I guess you should avoid Virtue. Aside from that, I can't see any reason to 'avoid' any servers. If you want high population, low population, off-hours gaming (i.e. out of sync with US times), etc there are servers to 'prefer'. So I guess that means you'd be avoiding all the others.....

Yeah, dark armor is pretty good. On top of the biggest self-heal in the game, my tank is dark/dark so he's also got a self-heal as part of his attack chain. The only rough spot is the endurance usage but it can be addressed. I have 10 toggles on this guy.
-
As I've mentioned in other threads, I have obtained the SG healing badges for a number of SG's on Infinity. Three words: FREE SERVER TRANSFERS.
Could any SG's on other servers use my assistance in getting the first two SG healing badges? If so, PM me. -
Absolutely. There are lots of ways to get the badges. And, for some smaller SG's, none of them are available unless someone wants to make a new toon to grind for the badges. Or, I can do it for them.

Quote:Horrible idea, in my opinion. I have multiple toons with one sprint that they picked because they like the way it looks *AND* a second sprint with a stealth IO slotted. I don't want to automatically 'fade out' whenever I want to run faster. My secret wish is that in Power Customization 2.0, Sprint and the Prestige Sprints will all be folded into one power, with those custom looks unlocked by getting the upgrade or Veteran Badge.
Then we go back to having one power, and Universal Travel can be opened up in it again with no issues. -
As the title says. Some SG's may feel they will never get the Auto Doc and Robo Surgery. Invite my guy to your SG, leave him at the lowest rank, and I'll get you those badges (the first two; the third one is pretty useless).
Send me a PM if interested. -

Quote:You see that would be impressive all except for the fact that when you were leading a team of 8. I was leading a team of 3500 for electronic arts in their attempt to bring the MPBT universe to life as an online game. And had been involved online gaming in one way or another for nearly 10 years at that point.<snicker> Really?Quote:
Good try though, I suppose your resume is impressive to you. I have no need to make the false comparisons you have and I have no need need to assert special knowledge

Yeah, and when you're explaining the system to someone who has never done it, avoiding jargon and 'in' references is a good idea.

I had someone mention this just a few days ago while setting up their gladiators; "There is no Longbow Warden 2 listed. Do you mean the 500 pt one?" -
Quote:The only 'discussion' I recall about this had one of BAB's finest lines, in my opinion. It went something like this:It really depends on what we get as a bonus for staying hero or villain. No information has been leaked about what we get for staying as we are, so until that info is announced, I'm undecided.
"Heroes who stay with their faction will become exemplary heroes and gain rewards, whereas exemplary villains will just get shafted because we hate them."
-
Don't start. MANY people have been asking for a walk power for a LONG time. If you don't like, don't use it. It's that simple. It's not like you had to buy a booster pack to get it.
-
Also, there is generally an exchange rate applied since Infamy is valued more highly than Influence.
*ESPECIALLY* in a sig, where the poster presumably has given some thought to a phrase that they want to show up every single time they post. -

THE GAME IS DYING!
WE HAVE TO MERGE THE SERVERS!
Oh, come on, you knew it was just a matter of time until someone said it.
BTW, re Jade_Dragon's comment:
Quote:I'm pretty sure the search window works for trial accounts but they can't send tells so it doesn't really do much for them. One suggestion (and how I met some nice new players the other day): if you open your team window while not on a team, you can write a 'search comment'. You can put something like, "Trial account. Can't send tells. Just send invite."I'm not sure that the trial account has access to the team search feature, so you may have to buy the game before you can really start finding teams.
To open the team window, click the word TEAM at the top edge of the chat window. -
Quote:Utter nonsense. The rules and tactics of PvP allow for running. Comparing it to flipping over a chessboard is foolish. If you don't want PVP and are unwilling to participate in it, you have no business being in the zone in the first place. You're consenting to PVP by entering the zone, explicitly and implicitly, and then if you change your mind you're essentially going back on that agreement. You're tipping over the chessboard rather than lose your queen. It's poor sportsmanship to agree to play a game and abide by the rules of the zone then refuse to play the game when it doesn't go your way.
P.S. This item: "rules and tactics of PvP" may, or may not, be consistent with YOUR view of PvP. If not, no one cares. -
Quote:Offhand, I don't think you can get the KR mission at level 9. You get the mission from the detective *IN* KR, but at level 5-9 you get the Atlas Park mission.I got the KR Bank mission rolled up and all set to go on my lvl 9 Fire/Psy Blaster. Can run it when we have a good numbers of members ready to go
Edit: Although it wouldn't surprise me. Officially, you can't get the Fortune Teller mission until level 10 but I can get it at level 9. -
Oh, let's see. Assuming the SG has a wide range of levels, I would put....
Atlas Park
Kings Row
Faultline
Steel Canyon
Talos Island
Croatoa
Brickstown
Founders Falls
Peregrine Island
Hollows
Perez Park
Dark Astoria
Striga
Rikti Warzone
That's 14. Pick the other 2 based on personal preference. My list is highly biased.
I left out Skyway because I only seem to go there for TF's. I like Steel Canyon better and it has Wentworth's and Icon.
I left out Crey's Folly because the Brickstown beacon drops you right by the entrance to Crey's.
I left out Boomtown because I never go there except for TF's. Plus, the beacon for Steel Canyon drops you reasonably close.
I put Dark Astoria because it's just so damn far from the Talos beacon point.
If I had to pick two more.... I might pick Independence Port and... I dunno. Maybe Eden, if you like the Eden Trial. It drops you right next to Woodsman. Or Terra Volta if you like the Respec Trial. Terra Volta is annoyingly far from the Indy Port beacon point. -
Quote:Chance? Definitely. As noted, you'll be operating at 25 but keeping your powers up to level 30. The only *possible* issue I see is that, as an AV, she hits pretty hard and you're two squishies. And with her debuffs, she won't miss a lot. On the bright side, she doesn't get the debuffs that Positron has. He's rad too and can put your recharge rate into the toilet.I have a level 25 Energy/Fire Blaster; I duo with a Kinetic/Psychic Defender. We're both slotted with SOs. We wanted to duo the Sister Psyche Task Force. Do you think we have any chance against Clamor?
Expect to get hit a lot, and hard. I'm addressing that to you (the blaster), since you'll be doing most of the damage and should have most of her attention. And if you want your teammate to be able to heal you, you'll need to be standing right next to Clamor.
