In my opinion, the following invuln powers are 'non negotiable': Dull Pain, Invincibility, Temporary Invulnerability, Tough Hide, Unyielding. (Those are in alphabetical order.
I'm not ranking them.)
Of the remaining four, I would rank them as follows, starting with the most useful: Resist Physical Damage, Resist Energy, Resist Elements, Unstoppable. I would not skip RPD without a really good reason.
Personally, I have all of them.
Dual Blades - I have no clue. Haven't done that set yet. -
Quote:I'm guessing most of these answers are WAY more detail than you need or want.Should I taunt everytime it's up?
In some MMOs "taunt" or whatever it might be named can be used over and over again to continue generating aggro. Is that true for CoH or is it only really needed if you lose aggro?
Firstly, yes, Taunt *CAN* be used over and over to generate aggro. It does not have any diminishing returns.
No, you should probably not be a 'taunt bot'. The only time that's really called for, in my opinion, is when fighting a REALLY powerful enemy that can obliterate your teammates if you lose aggro for even a second. Very few enemies are that nasty. Most of the AV's in the Statesman Task Force are that bad. A handful of others, here and there.
A lot of the time, just punching stuff ('Gauntlet' effect - sort of a mini-taunt when you hit anyone) and having your taunt aura running will be enough. Some taunt auras are better than others.
Some of the time, these things will not be enough. A scrapper with a taunt aura who is doing decent damage can pull aggro off you. Of course, he can probably survive it.... for a short time.
Personally, I don't use Taunt much in most situations. It just isn't needed . . . oh, 80+ percent of the time. The only time I'll use it a lot is when fighting something really tough - then I'll put it in my attack chain. Taunt, 3 or 4 attacks, Taunt again. -

They shouldn't need a rollback. Just log into another character and send a petition explaining the situation. Your character will be moved to Atlas Park (if a hero). I've had this happen a few times over the years. Not lately, though.

Sign me up for team one with... somebody. My tank hit 50 on the Numina TF today so I'll bring someone else. Maybe Ironblade.

Had a similar issue.
1. Completed the first mission and it was still listed as needing to be done.
2. Tried talking to Posi; "I need to talk to your leader." Everyone on the team got that message, even the leader.
3. Re-did the misison to see if that helped. It did not.
4. Logging out and back in fixed it. FYI, everyone logged out and then back in so the star would end up with the same person.
Did the task force again a few days later, exact same issue after the first mission. Immediately proceeded to relogging and it was fixed. -
Okay, my current tank (dark/dark) is 2 bars from 50. My next tank will be Willpower primary since I haven't done that one yet and it sounds different enough from defense and resistance sets to be interesting.
Can anyone suggest a secondary and the reason they suggest it? I have already done: Battle Axe, Dark Melee, Energy Melee, Fiery Melee and Super Strength so I don't want to do any of those again. -
My earth/rad's Animate Stone is black with bright green 'magma' to match the radiation powers. I've gotten compliments on it.

Quote:But you know there will be someone saying, "I can't control my character! I keep running into walls! It's like Speed Boost! I hate Speed Boost!"Accelerate Metabolism stacked 8 times renders all problems obsolete. + damage + rech + end.
If you can hit, you can kill.

Therefore, keep your options open. If you've already identified one or more potential badge-hunting toons, get the Winter Event badges just to be on the safe side.

I saw Infinity ranked at number 6 the other day. To be fair, though, it was before lunch time on a weekday. The rankings get all squirrely when there are very few players on.

If you stopped squinting, maybe you could read the messages and figure it out.

Yep, well-known problem.

For future reference, this kind of stuff should go in 'Developer's Corner' in the thread 'Jay's Costume Bug Fix List'. -
Quote:You're the one confusing pages. The devs have ZERO to do with creating/enforcing the rules of conduct in the game. The only area where the devs address in-game behavior is when it involves exploits.what i like mostly about in game infractions is wut a dev says is bad and wut a mod says is bad is two totally different things..
always great to not be on the same page an all.
If they were level 1, they wouldn't get debt, would they?Quote:as for monsters in the portal corp..you do realize that someone was most likely trying to lvl their lvl 1's there and you got them debt and years ago some actually got upset with that..lol

My impression is that, with a background in military history, this is the kind of thing that jumps out at you. I expect that someone with a background in anthropology would find striking similarities with various historical cultures.

Yeah, that's pretty horrifying. I was doing Dark Watcher's arc with a full team and we were running into spawns of 6 or more Fake Nemesis. Man, I hate that phasing power.

And if you actually look up anthozoa, it covers two types of organisms and they're not talking about the anemones.

I request that the offensive name NOT be PM'ed to me.
The mental and emotional scars are bad enough already.

Quote:There are no Forum Cartel. And when I say there are NONE, I mean there are SOME, but they are well under control. They certainly are not organized, with their own social group for hatching sinister plots.Don't forget, the "usual cast", IE. Forum Cartel, came and squashed his poor widdle observation.
So, um, go on about your business. Nothing to see here.
