Seriously, though, that kind of attitude reminds me of the guy that invited me to join a Citadel TF. When I declined, he explained to me that it was my RESPONSIBILITY to team with others since I was in an MMO.
I restate my position: LOL! -

Well, the suppression is surely perceived differently by different people, but Ninja Run suppresses exactly like any regular travel power. It doesn't last an onerous duration but, if you're in a sustained fight it will be suppressed pretty much constantly.

Quote:I think you're missing the point too. So you're describing something here that YOU want, that appeals to YOU.So, I guess we should just stop adding content? I think you missed the main idea here. New content that is different and allows the player to put more of their creations in game.
A good portion of your post is stuff that appeals not at all to me and that I think has very limited appeal to the general population.
Then another portion qualifies as blatantly obvious.
So, um, you're saying "We need more new content and it should be good." Okay, I think everyone can get behind this.Quote:2) Since we have a ton of repetitive content, please make all new content a bit more interesting and not so intentionally time consuming. We have a ton to do so any future material needs to be new.
6) NO MORE re-hash of existing content. There is enough of that. Let's keep everything else here on in fresh and new!
No offense but, if we think ideas are bad, we're allowed to say so. That's kind of the point of a public forum. Please note, you're not getting "No" or "/jranger". You're getting comments like "I don't think this has broad appeal." "You're overlooking obvious items." etc.Quote:Nice of you to poo poo my ideas without offering any suggestions
I really don't see the point of your post. No offence but why not try working with/adding ideas instead
I'm always amused when I see comments like that, since they always seem to reflect at least a little of "If you don't agree with me, go away." -
Quote:LOL!Um. I don't know how to break this to you, but every time you log into the game and you pick a server, YOU HAVE ALREADY BEGUN A ROLE PLAY SESSION. Let me make this as clear as I can. EVERY SINGLE SERVER IS A ROLEPLAYING SERVER:
WHETHER OR NOT YOU LIKE IT YOU ARE A ROLEPLAYER
Moar shouty bluster plz!
Really, I just wanted to jump on the bandwagon and quote the giant pretty text again. -
Yeah, it's not too hard if you have the defenses/support to blow past everyone else. Particularly if you have a ranged taunt power.

Quote:Once again, you demonstrate your lack of knowledge of the subject at hand.Oh dear, not a lot of joined up thinking here then!
Quite rightly, they took down the servers yesterday to fix whatever they had to, but what they also should have done was bring forward the routine downtime for today, so doing two jobs in one period! And if that meant a slightly extended downtime to do so then fair enough.
That would have been joined up thinking and given them an extra 24 hours of live time to confirm that all was well before the holiday started.
No need to shut up shop twice when once will do makes commercial sense.
The servers must be shut down for maintenance due to 'wear and tear on the data' (fragmentation, memory leaks, file corruption, etc). More activity = more of these problems. Therefore, the correct COMMERCIAL AND TECHNICAL decision would be to go ahead with the maintenance on Thursday morning since there will likely be heavy usage over the following few days.
If they had to do maintenance on Wednesday for an unrelated matter, that does not change the valid commercial and technical reasons for having maintenance on Thursday.
I'm not familiar with the term "joined thinking". Will I find it in the thesaurus under 'clueless'? -
Nope. You can't 'friend' someone from the other side or trade with them - not even when you're on the same team.

sigh... I have the same problem on a different forum. My computer at home does not remember my last visit but my computer at work is fine. Same browser, same settings, same plug-ins, same OS, same anti-malware, same ISP even. I have no idea what causes it.

Looks good. Personally, I would put one more slot on Invincibility for an accuracy buff. I would take the slot from one of the end reduction on Tough or Weave.

<shrug> I just went to look up information on Boxing and got:
Quote:A total of approximately 40 lines of error messages and no information on the damage it does. I guess we define "broken" differently.Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /usr/local/share/www/cox/includes/coh/effect.class.php on line 248

I don't believe proc to-hit rolls show up in your combat chat.
I definitely know that Boxing is supposed to be making two rolls for itself - one for checking to hit (based on your slotting and accuracy bonuses, etc) and one for checking to stun (which is a flat 10% chance).
Edit: Jerk hacker! You edited and posted about the stun percentage while I was typing!

Anyone else? My guy is currently on Triumph to help two SG's there. We still have about five weeks of free transfers.....

Crikey! What do you people do with all that endurance? On any toon with willpower or regeneration, I skip Stamina. (On a WP tank, I might take Health for the extra regen, but still not Stamina.)

Quote:I run two instances on a 2.4 GHz Core2Duo with 2GB of RAM and a 7950GT. This computer is just over 3 years old and does the job fine and I don't turn down my graphics to run two instances. I have most stuff set to about 130% of base settings. I *DO* run in windowed mode so that I can have the two windows side by side on my monitor. While you can run two instances of City on one computer, it's tricky and you need a top-end computer to do it. Otherwise both instances of the game will have to be run in wndowed mode with low details.
So, OP, what are your system specs? If they meet or exceed what I listed, you should be fine. -
Quote:Are you being naive in thinking that they don't have a better idea than you as to what's necessary to keep the game running properly? Aside from the fact that they do this for a living, I think it's safe to say that no one knows more about the behind-the-scene stuff for this particular game.Is it being naive to expect a bit of joined up thinking and planning from those guys in suits that are responsible for having the game up and online?
Are you seriously suggesting that two different departments made their own plans to take down the servers without telling anyone else? -
Well, it could handle it with ease or suck horribly. There's no way to tell without specifying the video card.

I have a question: Where are the pictures?
-
-
Maybe. Or maybe they went the extra mile and revamped the system so that adding more in the future is easy.
