  1. In short, the process is to load the HUGE fraps video file in VirtualDub and export it as DivX.
I do however recommend using a non-linear video editing tool like Adobe Premiere as a middle step.
  2. Most important is to allow muscular women.
Floor length skirts is nice too, I don't mind if the option is disabled for toons with the Martial Arts powerset, it's unrealistic.
  3. ...you see a muscular woman and ask her which super booster pack she use, or think she is from a future issue

...more than one of your characters have a dedicated domain name

...you can tell a person is 20+ by their cape

...you can tell a person is 30+ by their aura

...your grandma reminds you of Ghost Widow

...you believe that will power might solve the energy crisis

...you send your kids to a power leveling school

...you expect your third child to have superior development as a vet reward

...you think farming works better in a flooded city than in a farmland.
  4. You are right, petsay is supposed to create balloons in Local. It actually worked totally fine until Issue 13, and I had a nice neoconservative affirmation bind theme.

To bad, a lot of chat bugs where introduced in I13, like broken tells, html code in colored bubbles and broken petsay. Broken tells is AFAIK fixed, html bug is partially fixed (still triggers in rotating binds), now we're waiting for the petsay bug to be fixed.
  5. Well, I agree that my original proposal of Back to the past was overpowered. I thought the power as a single target and a duration for something like 60 seconds, but forgot to write it.

Some new limitations that I consider:
Very high endurance consumption on fire (90+), perhaps even an end crash OR having it as a toggle power like Darkest Night, but much greater end consumption.
    Limit to one level

These limitations aren't just for balance, sending someone back in time and keeping them there might require tremendous concentration for even the mightiest super villain, so it's realistic if the time controller is too busy to assist the team in other ways during the Back to the past

And expect to have enemies using that power on you

Well thats just plain silly then. Broken though PvP is, you simply cant have a set which has a power MISSING when used in PvP. If that ISNT a rule of game designing, the laws of the gaming world should flipping well implode.

This is one reason I prefer my version of "Time Machine", aka Back to the past. Class nerfing is simple impossible in PvP, while level nerfing works fine. The body scaling feature is probably only feasible on player targets.
Level nerfing is also feasible on EB/AV. Just give them a lots of natural resistance to level nerf to keep the challenge.
  7. I remember that site, it's hilarious.
However, the denominator in "The Ultimate Formula X" should be zero, then it works.
  8. Serum is weak oob, but it's nice to use on the same pet as you put Infect Henchman on and send him to a group of enemies.
Another usage is to put it on the medic, and send him to center of the battle.
  9. One strange thing about Official sleeves is that if you equipped a toon with it prior to the body scale bug was fixed, the texture works. Have a female toon with it working.
  10. Well, I like the idea of Precognition and Time stop. Not sure if teleport powers are really needed, as there's a pool for it.

I personally see villain-side Time Control as bringing threats from the past and the future to today. I came up with another idea: Childhood memories: You force your enemy to revisit a tragic event in his childhood, causing anxiety. Long duration Fear + moderate psionic DoT.

Healing powers would fit a hero side version of the powerset thought.

About pvp, I just used this as an example to emphasize that Time Controllers would be great in teams, but that you shouldn't expect top-of-the-line solo performance.
  11. I came to think about a new powerset for dominators: Time control. A time controller might be quite weak as solo, but can give a team an upper edge if used wisely. A ss/wp brute would likely pwn a time controller in pvp, but a skilled brute + time controller duo might pwn a team of two brutes.

    Some power ideas:

<ul type="square">[*]Time stretch: Your moving speed and recharge speed is doubled for a short while.[*]Nighty night: Transfer your enemy to midnight, causing sleep[*]Time confuse: You play a dirty time trick that confuses or stuns your enemy for a few seconds.[*]Future exploit: You do a quick visit a few months in the future, finding a software exploit that there is no protection against today. High damage to mechanic enemies.[*]Back to the past: You grab your enemy and move him back in time when his experience and strength was significantly lower than today. Your enemy is nerfed a couple of levels for a while. The visual effect is that body scale parameters are temporary lowered.[*]The future I: Travel forward in the future where your experience and strength is greater than today. You are boosted a couple of levels for a while, and the effect is visualized by increased body scales.[*]H5N1: You travel to the next pandemic event and get infected with a dangerous flu virus that there is no cure against today. Effect is similar to a Infect Henchman (Tier-9 MM Poison) and can target yourself, a pet or an enemy.[/list]
  12. Skipping IOs etc strips away reasons to love the game. My idea:
Start a new toon, and chose AT and powerset according to your imagination rather to that you believe works best in the game.
Skip most "mandatory" power (health, stamina etc), and take odd powers that you haven't tried out (perhaps presence pool)
In short, make your character so unique as possible. This wont make the game impossible, just increase the difficulty without removing features.
  13. I've got that problem too. Altered a costume slot on Lenina (waist 65%, all others 100%), and when I zoned, it was set to something random in the 30-50% on all. I visited the tailor one more time because I thought it was an isolated accident, but the messing of scales happened again.

Mongoose: No, it isn't the save/load thingy, I didn't used it.
  14. Another idea for summer is heat waves.
During a heatwave, everyone outside is affected by tiny fire DoT (just equivalent to nullify the regeneration of a character with zero fire resistance and no regen powers or buffs), reduced endurance, slower recovery.
    Effects are reduced nearby waters.
    Most elderly pedestrians stay inside.
Pedestrians gathers at waters and eat ice cream.

Edit: Ice creams are sold by street vendors for maybe 10 inf (affordable by lvl 1 chars). It is a temporary power that nullify the effects by the heatwave for a few minutes. Ice creams can also be given to other players.
  15. I like non-instanced events. Winter, Halloween, Valentine, GMs, Rikti, Zombies etc, I love them
I am however not a fan of kill-steal games (like ROSE Online) where none adventure are instanced. CoX has a good blend imho.

    Some ideas for seasonal events:

St Michael: A dragon GM do occasionally appear.

Flu season: A contagious disease spreads, infected people will temporary have reduced endurance, zero regeneration and slightly decreased move speeds. Coughing attacks (causing a few seconds hold) randomly appear.

    Some non-seasonal events:
Hamas: Qassam rockets randomly hits. Intercept them in midair for badges.

Tsunami: A giant killer wave hits the cities. People are advices to move as far as possible from beaches.
  16. /signed
I agree with Hammerfall that it is best done with base teleport beacons.
  17. /unsigned.
I like the current system as it is. I think of a level 1 toon as someone who is in the beginning of a long exciting carrier, and while I have have ideas about my new toon's final style, I want the style to mature as I unlock new parts.

In addition, the knowledge that there might be something new to discover/unlock is something that encourage people to keep the interest up for a longer time.

However, if a feature for viewing unlocked costume parts is a very popular request, I suggest it as a vet reward, like around 12 months or so, because I think the "there might be something more" factor is most important in second half of the first year.

    chat bubbles

I have problems with chat bubbles too. I have made many binds that use htmlish keywords like color, bgcolor etc, and now they are rendered as plain text, looking like html source...
  19. I'm up for a Farmer one. The farmland in Western Cap au Diable would work as well as a few well-used farming missions.

Hero side: Organic farmer (slightly improved healing powers)
Villain side: Monsanto farmer (slightly increased damage to thorny, plant and cone poison powers)

    Fat and Chubby

I'd really like the option of having plump characters. Muscular females would be nice too.

I don't buy the "they can't be fat because they run all day", how about a fat truck driver that let his thugs do his dirty job (a possible idea for a Thugs MM)?
I don't care if some hyper-sensitive person think it's disgusting/ugly/immoral/offensive/unhealthy/whatever, how do they do when they see overweight people in real life?

I can see one, and only one, valid argument against new body options - technical difficulties. I've worked with 3d animation, so I'm aware of the tremendous amount of possible complications with all motions/emotes and costume pieces.
  21. How about having a Chance for Vomit proc in melee IO or sleep IO? Would be nice to slot it in a melee attack that targets the gut, or why not the Poison trap in Mastermind Poison secondary. My poison mastermind miss the vomiting effect from the power with the same name in traps secondary.
  22. How can I allow profanity in recorded demos?
I have enabled profanity in-game, and words like "God" is properly inserted in my recorded demo file. But when I playback a demo, those words are substituted as if profanity is turned off.

    Urban Combat

I like the effect of "gut punch". Vomiting is one of the reasons why i'll never respec out noxious gas and elixir of live from my soldiers/poison MM.
A gut punch would also fit in a poison control powerset, where it cause moderate smashing damage and amplifies any acquired toxic DoT. Imagine the belly punch as a tool to distribute ingested poisons to the right organs.
  24. * Muscle slider in costume editor, ie allowing the creation of something like she-hulk.
    * Poison control powerset for dominators. Some attacks should have damage over long time. At least one of the powers should have vomiting as effect.
    * Allow chat on loading screens.
    * 360 flying
    * hugs and kiss emotes

    Badge Ideas :)

    [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
Borderline badge - Cause 1 million points of damage with psionic powers or confuse effects.

    [/ QUOTE ]
that would mean only a few power sets can have the badge....

    [/ QUOTE ]
Not everyone can have every badge, there's already a badge for choosing Ghost Widow as patron contact.
Borderline badge should however not be included in any accolade that give the player advantage.
