That can't be it. Mace Mastery anyone? It may have caused problems, but it is still doable isn't it?
Or what about weapon/shield/mace?
I guess I just don't see it being a huge issue if they already did it once. -
Well I actually slotted the Devastation primarily for the psi defense. I know 20% defense isn't gonna do anything amazing, but against Rikti or whatever, getting nailed with a mez usually means game over.
The Gaussian's... mainly seemed like a good idea at the time. Maybe I'll think of removing them if I ever spec into purples or whatever GR brings.
On the topic of Web Cocoon, I eventually dropped Suppressive Fire for it, just for the fact that Sup. Fire is annoying to slot if you swap in and out of ammo. The slotting was mainly a compromise to get the defense. -
Well, this is my DP/Kin build that I am reasonably happy with. Softcapped S/L, but less global recharge than you have. The problem is, without dipping into the fighting pool, going a little off on the slotting to achieve those levels of defense is pretty much required, especially for primary/secondary sets with no native defense.
PS, not recommending this as a better build to yours, just so that you might have a chance to compare. As you can see I also ended up slotting just for the defense on siphon speed, among other things.

I suppose drain psyche is a big contributer to actually getting GMs down, though. =P I have a dp/kin corruptor who can go toe to toe with the Ghost of Scrapyard, but transfusion just doesn't bring enough -regen to down him. At least in a casual test.

My search-fu is a little weak, so if this has been discussed at length, I apologize.
I'm always in search of a new alt and am a bit of a min-maxer. So what I am wondering is... what powersets have the most potential when completely IO'd? Any AT, any role in a team, what is the "best" after pouring billions of inf into a build? And best at what? The sky is the limit here, no holds barred.
Also a preemptive gtfo to anyone who says "it's a game, play what's fun". =)
