So what would you like to see it expand upon that would bring it up to par with the standard you wish it be?
-
Just the sitting down for two nights to finish it off. Yes in comparison it is easy. I just have been lacking the motivation to do it and was curious if others had a similar experience.
I wasn't really complaining. It was more an behavioral observation on my part across different mmos and wanted a comparison of others. -
I think its gonna be him prancing around as a girl flirting with boys and then documenting how many get pissed off once he talks via ventrillo with them.
-
Thanks for the clarification and the warning on the early levels. I just assumed it was the same for all toons regardless just some moreso than others. I did indeed misread the SOA part.
Another reason for wanting to hit 50 I neglected to mention was in order to respec. I've been trying to decide whether to spec into Leadership or just get the two fear powers in presence. I would be more interested in Power Boost if it wasn't such a short duration on such a long recharge.
Eventually I'd like to unlock the Hero ATs as well like you were commenting Chyll red or blue doesn't matter, but I'd like them all unlocked at some point. -
OK, but then you have this as a good example. Lets also hope a red name runs across that.

Keep going, Inokis. This is worth doing. Those first 23 SoA levels are very, very tough: in fact that would be a good era to AE-farm through. Serious pain lurks therein. But once you hit 24, the regular-mission fun never stops.

1-15 wasn't bad. That little hell between 15-22 though was horrible. Like I said earlier I had to drop the difficulty down to do some of the missions in that range. It may be better or worse on different ATs but so far my MM is the only one I've taken this high. I'll probably take my Ele/Ele blaster up that high in conjuntion with my Spider once I unlock VEATs.
So far I'm glad I've played COH. I nearly wrote all NCSoft games off after what happened with Tabula Rasa. I will always wish they kept that game going. -
My two other projects I posted on in player questions last week. I also think I asked for bio suggestions on this forum for one of them within a scope of a pre existing idea I had and just couldn't iron out the details.
One is a Dark/Dark defender, the other is an Elec/Elec non melee blaster; a MU themed toon. They are both 11 currently. Once I read some of the things others had to say on the build idea, it has come along nicely. The first attempt I scrubbed and just rerolled a new one.
There are so many different types of builds to try and different zones to play content through, it really is hard to stick to just one, I'll admit that.
I do think a Crab Spider would be so fun to play especially with the bio idea I have for him. -

My advice remains the same: don't force yourself to toil away on a character you're not having fun with to try to get to the actual fun "later".
If you really can't bring yourself to try any other AT, and your MM is boring, I suggest a break from Co* altogether. Go play Duke Nukem or Civilization or Whack-A-Kitty or street hockey for a little while. Seriously, when you come back to Co* in a couple weeks you'll fall in love with your MM all over again.

I never said anything that should lead you to such a presumption. I even stated in my last reply my MM is probably always going to be my favorite. I did state I really want to unlock a VEAT as my next main, IE as my next project. Nowhere did I see any implication of not having fun. As others have also stated I'm not the only one that has this occur.
I have 4 other toons, I never said anything about not wanting to try another AT.
I think you are missing the intended point of anything I said. -

Maybe he just ended up ignoring everyone who posted in that one farming thread that went for a dozen pages
[/ QUOTE ] He ignores anybody that doesn't agree with him. He actually stated that once. Personally, I think people like him shouldn't be allowed to interact with others.
[/ QUOTE ]
As his ignore list grows, he won't.

Disagreeing is a lot different than blatantly attacking and flaming people. Theres a lot of people that do that exact thing on this forum, as in all mmo forums.
I can allow someone to disagree with me but the insults and the badgering that go on a lot of times truly is inexcusable. -
I won't lie, I'm not a fan of AE and I really don't like any mechanic that lets someone get a toon to level 50 in a matter of hours. I haven't liked it in any MMO I've played, yet it continues to be something that happens in every MMO that I've played.
People say let people do what they want, play how they want, let them be etc... that's fine. It doesn't mean I will agree if I feel it is something that is out of balance compared to regular gameplay.
As you said its the Devs decision where to call the shots, but as long as people perceive an unfair advantage they will continue being vocal. The same thing happened in WoW when they tried to fundamentally change the Warlock class and how they mitigated damage compared to their HP ratio. There were tons of people outraged on the forums over it.
Forums do tend to be dramatic, with lots of opinions and perceptions about how things are or should be. The example I posted above about how people react demonstrates that pretty well. -
You should be telling this to someone else then. I am neither the propagator nor the instigator of any argument pro or con to your beliefs.
Prior to Kiralyns comment I had posted two small blurbs in agreement with two other people.
Nothing I said should have been a spark for that little speech. -
... or someone continually posting a reply to whatever you say just to act obnoxious. That seems to happen a lot on these forums.
-
That isn't at all what I said. I'm not prepared to throw anything away. I didn't state my objective in this one I don't think but I have told other people that one of my primary goals is to get purple IOs.
Either way I enjoy my MM more than I probably ever will any toon. -
Thats how my first 60+ in WoW was. He sat at 68 pre wotlk for nearly a year before I picked him up, at which time I took an alt all the way to 70. In turn bypassing the first one.
-
I usually try to only complain about my own shortcomings when it comes to being frustrated with a game mechanic. You are right about the plethora of topics outlining the same thing though.
I find that I'm so used to soloing and doing things on my own, that when someone does join it messes with how I like to play. -
I know I was just being dramatic like:
BUT ITS TWO WHOLE BARS OMGAWD!
I guess it failed. -
You're right it is. I can still be polite and ask though.
-
I thought they meant they were on game ignore, not forum ignore. Maybe I misread it. It seemed they knew what was being said so I assumed game ignore.
-
I just thought it was funny. I don't know you in game to know who you are. It just seemed like a moment of opportunity to have some fun :P
-
My hope for humanity was debuffed last night after reports that the current global standards for greenhouse gas emmisions are at a 40 year goal...
By that time AE will be long gone... -
It is a good story. I read it every time someone posts something new. Its just not akin to my experience and I really couldn't add anything constructive to it other than I envy the circle you travel in.
I wish my game experience was more similar to yours, but I've yet to really see it in any MMO I play. I read stories like this but never experience them. -
When I first started I posted that exact thing. I was at that pre 22 range and a purple boss had spawned one of those Longbow archers, I forget what his exact name was. Tons of AOE and he kept wiping my bots out. I was very frustrated. For those levels I had to notch the difficulty down in that little level range hell because I had been playing challenge three since about lvl 8 or 10.
