In some of the Cimerora mission maps you can indeed swim under water.

I do not believe this is a bug. However, I could be mistaken.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That solves the question. Thank you.
  2. This is the first time I've seen myself actually go underwater. When travelling/swimming I've never seen an ability to go below the surface and swim underwater in a free movement like say flight. In Cimerora there's a specific area on the map that allows this very activity. It leads me to believe that underwater content is/was a plan for the game or they wouldn't bother coding under water mechanics. My character is actually floating with a treading water animation while below the surface.

Do you guys think this is intended or just an environment bug?

You already know about the repeatable missions. So:-

    ParagonWiki on Cimerora

Cimerora is primarily a vehicle for the Imperious Task Force[/url] (ITF). It's short, pretty cool, and the enemies drop magic salvage (which at one point was in shorter supply and thus more expensive on the market).

Please note the Roman costume options - armor, weaponry, shields, etc, are not Veteran rewards. They're rewards gained from the ITF. You'll get the basic Roman armor and some weapon options by completing ITF once. Some of the others may require multiple playthroughs.

The zone also has two regular contacts, Daedalus (for heroes) and Sister Airlia (for villains) were added. Each of them has a couple of story arcs, though in practice the four arcs are somewhat intertwined.

Finally, it's quite profitable for players to kill the level 50 Roman mobs in the zone, as they come in large groups that are easy to find - the so-called 'hitting the walls'. This is not difficult for a properly outfitted solo character.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well thank you for the information and the correction. I could have swore I read that they were vet rewards. If they are the TF rewards then that is something to work towards as well.
  4. I've scoured over the ParagonWiki and I still don't see anything noteworthy about Cimerora. Once you are introduced to Marcus it seems he becoms a broker type contact with repeatable missions etc. Getting Kindred doesn't seem to offer any extra goodies etc. There don't seem to be any easter eggs or any reason once you get the exploration badge and the Centurion badge to stay.

So is this just a conduit for more levels aside from typical contacts?

In RWZ I've been getting my merits to unlock the Uniform parts and the Psionic Shield. Eventually I will work on the Rikti Invasion badges for my Pulse Rifle customization. The Centurion costume pieces are vet rewards from what I understand so theres nothing really extra in Cimerora from what I can tell.

No one but the devs know

    [/ QUOTE ]

at this point it's possible even the devs don't know

    but speculation is
A: keep it easy if char is originally villian only can join vg and vice versa
    or they go
B: you can join whichever side sg whenever but leave it if you switch sides
or if we are really lucky
C: Co-op sg's which will require ALOT more work

    [/ QUOTE ]

there is a D: When you exit the praetorian world you belong to your primary SG. When you enter the preaetorian world you have a sep SG.

I doubt they will do this, but since the praetorian world is a mirror world you'd think you've have a sep SG there as well.

I've been hearing that Triumph is kind of up and coming on the RP scene. You probably just want to skip down to the server forums and see what mood you get off each one.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not so much active RPing that I've seen. There seem to be more active Bios though. I rolled Triumph because it was next to last on the population scale and I love low pop servers.

I understand your frustration. They really need to upgrade the requirements list on current game box releases as well as on the website. But the current requirements for decent play are far beyond anything needed for WoW. And the requirements for play with settings maxed are far beyond that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes indeed. I don't have a bad setup, much better than the 5 yo rig on its last leg that I was using. 2 gb ram, dual core 5200 amd and a 9600 GT 512; On 100% I run fine but jacking anything over 150% becomes a huge lag fest. At 100% I sit between 40-80 fps depending on zone and scenery. In WoW in BC I could jack everything up to max 16x, 16XQ and run with 80 frames no matter where I was.

  11. Odd. I bought both the Cyborg Pack and the Good vs Evil Pack within minutes of each other last week without any problems.

You can alter how far away the FX turns off with the slash command I linked above.

PLEASE NOTE: it turns off *ALL* "physics" style auras...costume auras, most toggle auras, persistent buff effects (ie, Hasten). You can't pick and choose. It does NOT turn off graphics like Rock Armor's basic rock formation graphics, etc.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I was already editing it, sheesh. don't post so fast.
  14. [ QUOTE ]
no, no, no, i want to alter the way I see me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Use the link just posted, it gives you more options for the near fx than the ui.
  15. There's only two options with the potential to change those effects display:

Suppress Extra Player FX which only affects people outside of your group

Suppress FX when close which only affects close camera range

Theres no option I know of that alters the way you want other players to see you, they have to enable the suppress other FX.

Well they aren't difficult, they just are irritating snots the way they jump around from every direction.

On top of it all, Johnny doesn't even say hardly a thank you for saving his soul. There should be an optional ending where you can take out Johnny for being such an ingrate .

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, if it weren't for the fact that I was getting paid for the job, I (as a villain) don't really care about the state of his soul. I wouldn't mind an optional ending where you watch him being pulled into some unpleasant nether realm if you "fail" to save him.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That would be interesting. Here's my encounter with his soul.

  18. Honestly Neg, what I did was got most of my skill upgrades from drops as they came to me. In the high teens I had a hodge podge of generic and DO's. By about 20 I had gotten to all DO's. I had a hodge podge of DO/SO through 30. After 30 I started getting full SO's. I tried to stick to as many looted ones as possible. I only upgraded the ones I outleveled at the store if I didn't have a drop for them. Running missions on Challenge 3 from about 16-20 and then again after 24, I've been able to keep enough infamy for store SO's as I outlevel them.
  19. They are just as tiny, they are relentless, they come out of the woodwork from every direction and they spawn in droves. They are irritating little brats to say the least.

I just did the mission after the Wailer Lord where you save the 4 Mu Magii. My god, just as you clear an area 6 more would spawn on top of you.

Going Rogue expansion should let all AT's be on either side - PvP balanced

This barely made the cut for this Hall of Infame. Sure, a tanker might get freaked out when their fully slotted for Acc powers don't work on the boss you just "bubbled", but this is a very useful power for defense.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is one of my most useful powers, especially when splitting the Boss from the minions and controlling the flow of aggro. I really don't see how it is an annoying power. At times its a must.

Yes, none of the outside missions should require a specific rare spawn that could be farmed or camped for...

    [/ QUOTE ]

If they could figure out how to do that and do it right, I'd be all for it.

But so far most of the open world games I've played (including the other one that folks are openly talking about now) haven't.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It would take recoding some of the database and how some spawns are calculated; but what I want to do IF I ever get my mmo ideas into a workable game is instanced spawn timers. Anything that spawns would only be seen by each individual user and/or their group. If you walk outside of town solo and you see a giant blood gorging bunny, only you or your group would see that specific blood gorging bunny. They could do the same thing for encounters as you describe to prevent the camping prevalent in other mmos.

There's a huge difference between sideswitching or fallen/redemption and creating a brute and entering Atlas Park from the character creation screen.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You sure we won't be able to enter Praetorian Atlas as a brute and shift over after running to the new portal corp building there at level 1?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Pretty sure. I'm guessing you'll have to run the Praetoria missions and make "choices" that affect your alignment. Only once you've moved your alignment to the appropriate heroic or good level, only then will you be able to enter blueside.

    --NT

    [/ QUOTE ]

But if you can go from Mercy directly into Praetoria, and go Good by lvl 5, effectively it's the same thing as rolling a Brute blue-side directly.

    [/ QUOTE ]

But as someone pointed out to me, you can switch back and forth. So you won't be locked into one side or another.

Clown masterminds personally designed by Positron.

I wouldn't mind the ability to customize your own visual style of henchmen. You'd have to choose from the base attributes of one of the existing henchmen schemes but then you could make them look how you wanted. Even if they don't want to implement entire customization options, maybe a few small ones. Perhaps you could have diff head/body styles to choose from etc.. small details to differentiate and colors would be fine as well.
