They haven't implemented the official web features for that yet but there is a site I believe you can create those details and link from your sig.

I've been playing them since EQ1, I'm not a newbie at this either. I *have* had people try to delete my characters - once while I was right there in the chair. (A so-called friend thought I was playing too much, and to break me of the habit tried to delete my main while I was sitting right there talking to him. Obviously I stopped it, but still. And no, he wasn't very bright, but it's not like I can read minds as to someone's intent either.)
You can't honestly believe that it's practical for everyone to keep the rest of their family/friends/significant others away from their PC.
You also can't honestly assume setting up an alternate user account and switching to it when you go AFK is less hassle than re-logging when you switch characters.
Oh and there's also the possibility among minors of playing on a family PC; where the use of alternate accounts and password is probably forbidden anyway. Un-Tech savvy parents not wanting their kids causin a computer problem they can't fix, and tech-savvy parents not wanting to be locked out or having their parental controls circumvented.
I mean really, keep in mind what you're talking about here - the entire hassle you go through is entering a password and clicking the mouse twice. That's it.
Meanwhile you're suggesting password protection for the computer, alternate user accounts, and somehow keeping everyone away from your PC, which if you are a minor is especially difficult, but even as an adult with roommates can be tricky.
Lets see - a minor inconvenience, or several minor inconveniences (some of which are again, not possible for everyone to perform anyway) so those who don't have the same potential issues can avoid a couple mouse clicks and a little typing... yeah, right.
I mean really - you know it's not going to stop the logout timer part right? You're still going to have to wait 30 seconds to get logged out either way, you'll save what... 2 seconds? Maybe 3 if you chickenpeck and your password is long?
Because I want you to keep perspective as to exactly what you're talking about here - a couple seconds for something that can actually prove useful to a customer; no matter how 'stupid' you think it happens to be.
[/ QUOTE ]
... but typing for those split seconds is so tedious.... my god. The binaries are having a fit over the repetition -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm pretty amazed that people listed their own stupidity as a reason not to have a log out to character screen function.
Is it really so hard to log out completely while in public or around a cat that likes to tap dance on a keyboard? Really?
[/ QUOTE ]
I wasn't listing any stupidity as a reason for it. The cat story was just a cute example but hey, be a pompous ignorant all you want. I deal with worse on a daily basis. -
I can heal my bots one at a time with Repair. My Protector Bots do most of the necessary healing when the fighting gets a tad rough however. I've thought about picking up something from one of the powersets, but honestly I'm not sure how much I'd use it.
I would say that without either Repair or Protector bots, I'd have a hard time being a successful MM in tough spots, especially against EB. I think for reasons like these people continue on the logic that healing is necessary for success. -

Qr - if I couldntbtrust someone with my coh password, I'm not sure I'd be happy trusting them with my actual life.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not sure I'd be entirely happy with the idea that someone would place the same value on my life as they do my characters in a video game.
[/ QUOTE ]
To some people, their character has more value... -

Well I entrust my family with my life, but none of them have access to my passwords... I don't think the inverse you assert applies. -

Life or password, death or deletion....hmmmm, toughie
[/ QUOTE ]
The point being just because I trust someone with my life doesn't give them the access to my accounts...When I do die, all access to my games and my computer goes with me. -
Getting the Architect Edition gives you all the current patches on a disk via the retailer. If you buy from the NC Store you get them as a digital download and you will get the codes on your account. You are getting one booster and the entire game for the costs of two boosters.

How in the world could logging out to char screen be a security hazard?
[/ QUOTE ]
Kid sibling/irritated significant other/drunk friend catches it and deletes all your 50s.
[/ QUOTE ]
I've heard a story that some Beta Tester's girlfriend did exactly this during the CoH Beta and that's why the policy is in place.
[/ QUOTE ]
People I know have shared their passwords with girlfriends and the minute they break up, their toons vanish. Its a common occurrence and one reason I don't give my password to anyone, not even people I trust with my life. -
true story:
When I played WoW, I logged to character screen for a break for munchies and a soda. Thinking I 'should' be fine being at home alone... I come back to my computer, my cat is in my chair and my character is logged in presently getting mobbed by the closest enemy that could aggro...
I'm just glad there are delete safeguards. If she ever learns to use a mouse I'm in trouble. -

Someone hacked your password, but didn't capture the code they used, gets into the account does their mayhem, logs to another character etc...
lets say you are in public leave your computer unattended, someone logs to character and messes with your toons etc...
Unlikely but possible. Forcing people to log to password verification just prevents unauthorized acts to occur. -

Yeah I loved finding out about this back in the Bricktown missions. A story element that really caught me. But having a Rikti Epic? No thank you.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not a full rikti, more a Human/Rikti Hybrid, more human than rikti. Same face choices that hint at rikti origin, similar to how the supernatural faces hint at other world origins. Similar costume styles and weaponry and some ATs that would include some abilities innate to Riktis. -

Yes, it is, which does suck, however there are plenty of free ways to display characters... photobucket + blog/journal program = character listing.

Eek. I did not know this. There goes my character listing.

I don't know how many ppl know of it, but Skydrive is awesome for hosting images and files for downloading. It can't host web pages etc but you can hotlink images and files. -

I bought Spore for my stepdaughter, and was appalled that I had to have an Internet connection to register it before she could play it. Especially because I didn't haz Intarweb connection at the time, having been computerless for 2 years.
During that 2 years I purchased a 360, and oh how I wish, how I wished you were here. Console games are truly lacking in depth and long term playability. The only games I could find that were even close to my personal standards for gaming were ports of PC games, like Oblivion and Fallout3. Madden 09 is also a favorite of mine, but I would happily do without it if they stopped releasing to PC. In those 2 years I purchased 2 console games. Prior to my dark ages, it wasn't uncommon for me to buy 2 PC titles a week for when I needed a break from CoH.
Oh, and about taking a grain of salt when reading The New York Slimes, be careful, because the salt might kill the slugs that write it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sacred 2, if they do anything similar to what they did on PC will be a new style for 360, different than people are used to. -
What I do is what you described. I hotkey two rows and just mousedrag ones from the last two rows as I use them. The first two rows are Respite and Catch a Breath. Then the Third row is usually respites and the last row is awaken.
I don't use a console type gamepad, but I do use a Fang keypad. -

That's one of my favorite parts about them <'x'> But then maybe that's just me <,<
They don't look like any of the Bane though, not that I remember anyway.
Thrax were huge and bulky.
Hunters might have been the closets, but they had digitrade legs and a totally different head structure.
The sniper ones didn't bear any resembelence at all either.
Hrmm... I'm not really thinking of any Bane that resemble Rikti; though some of their ship designs certainly shared characteristics - Bane Drop ships and Rikti Dropships have a few things in common; and I think the Striders could pretty much be picked up and inserted into the Rikti here and you'd not notice them being too out of place (with a slight facelift of course - not a lot though, just a few minor touchups)
[/ QUOTE ]
I deleted all my folders and screenies when they canx. I could have swore there were some Bane with a crest though. Not necessarily the same face and body but meh... Like i said my memory could be faulty. -
Nova Lass is the first name that comes to mind.

On the other... Oh man, those ceratopsidae frill heads. I dunno what they were thinking with those, but I always found them sort of goofy.
[/ QUOTE ]
I wonder how many of the ideas floated between Tabula Rasa and COH Rikti development, because a lot of the Bane had a head crest if I remember correctly. -
[ QUOTE ]
If we ever get Rikti costume bits (not just the weapons - I mean like actual customizable Rikti parts... I know, not likely), I'm so doing a Rikti character of my main >.> just because.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd rather have a Rikti Hybrid as the next lvl 50 Archetype reward. That way you get the costume and can play as a sep Rikti. Can you imagine a Rikti MM equiv, similar to the Rikti Comm Officers.... -
Why wouldn't they just use the hook as the weapon in those cases, doesn't Capt Hook use his in that manner?

can i use a 60 day trial after i used up my 14 day trial?

If you have a 60 day access pass you can use that after a 14 day trial. You cannot stack trials however. So if it is indeed a trial you can only use them for new accounts. -
