    The pig salutes you!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hahaha! Beefman joins in saluting the valiant heroes who will unleash their fury...and hunger on the masses of turkey...

    [/ QUOTE ]

..and glazed ham. So, why is the pig saluting again?

    Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Is it still in the spirit of the holiday if I had to clothesline an old lady to grab the last can of cranberry sauce?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Only if you spike the can on her head afterwards! Touchdown shuffles are a major part of the holiday.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    The art is amazing!

And Vectorman has a great look. Loved how you combined that line pattern with stealth!!

    [/ QUOTE ]

When I first saw the line pattern, I just knew it would look awesome with stealth. Thus Vectorman was born (reborn?). Heh.

Anyway, the character wasn't intended to be a clone or homage of the video game character. He originally started as Raster, but that name didn't take, and Rasterman sounded Jamaican. I then tried to call him Hologram Man, Vector, etc. But all the names I tried were taken. I then decided to bite the bullet and call him Vectorman, cause I really liked the name and it fit him so well.

To tell you the truth, if they ever remake the Vectorman series, I wish they'd make him a superhero instead. No one really remembers the game anyway, but the name was always stood out. A gamer superhero would really take the franchise to greater directions and new markets. Now, if I can only get someone at SEGA to listen to me.

..Am I the only person who was disappointed not to see a transforming robot made out of spheres?

    Anyone? Beuller?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I never really liked that look. However, since the Hologram/Force Field Projector he is made by is a floating orb that creates orb like Force Fields, I guess he still is.

Neat! The look on the girl's face cracks me up and so does the skull chewing on the guy.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hehehe...That was the third version of the girl I drew. I liked this one the best as well. I thought of giving her bigger bewbs but that would take away focus from her face. Next drawing though, I'm going to make something sexy. I'm way overdue.

It's been a while, crunch time at my job has been hell...anyway since I got some time again to work on this...here's the finished Sketch/Ink!

Hopefully, things will remain slow awhile, so I can color it.
  10. Looking at the video, it appears that Maiden Justice was a MA/WP scrapper then? Cool! Though I'm hoping they get turned down a notch yet, though I don't really mind the golden glow too much since it's part of CoH cannon.
  11. Congrats, thats sooo cool Ollie! Glad to see ya back!

The best part of doing this commission were Tremorr's responses to the updates. I'm going to put up a page showing the progress later, sadly his responses were all in game and I didn't save them, but they were awesome and really nsfw!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Heh...yeah that's the Tremorr I know very well.

Also, great work on the piece!
  13. Normally, I could draw a figure a day, and an extra day if its colored. So the length of time it takes to do a piece usually depends on how many figures/effects are involved. And faster if I'm paid partially in advance. There's no better motivator than money, believe that (as Naruto would say)!!

However, for close to two years my time has been very sparse, as I'm working a normal 8 hour work day plus commute that totals about 3-4 hours. So, I've only taken commisions I could do over the weekend, and lately not even that. Because of this, I've been mainly doing gift art. Those I work on in my spare time so they take as long as they take, no guarantees. I do these to keep up the practice...and for the huggles.

Couldn't work on this for the past few days, due to being hit with a severe case of vertigo which pretty much put me out so bad I couldn't even walk. I and my Doctor suspect the vibrations from the subway trip to and from work was the cause.

However, I started feeling better yesterday so went to work and got the buildings laid out, and am working on the details. Thought y'all might like a peek at the progress so far.

I still think you a prevert.... .... HEY!!! Is one of those skulls me?!?!?

Hmmm one does kinda look like you.

Actually, I did have an idea for that pic you wanted me to draw of you. I'll see about doing that after this is done.

Thanks all! The background is being worked on, and I should start coloring this week. I got some interesting ideas about that, so I'm looking forward to starting that myself.

Awesome concept. I love Ender's Game.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ender's Game is one of my favorite books of all time...it's no wonder why I work in the video game industry.

Oh, since I finally got a day off yesterday... update. Only the background left to do before coloring.

I've never thought of Vectorman as a joyful basher of heads before. Interesting.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Whaccha mean? He's always joyful when he's bashing heads...

I tried to represent him for what he is, a hero for gamers. Sorta like Ender. Hence the concept of a gamer that plays a video game to fight crime as a superhero.

I think it looks great! I love the skull biting the skull.

    =. .=

    [/ QUOTE ]

Spectral Wounds FTW! I wanna put some vector lines on the skulls, as well (plus glowy effects), but haven't figured out the layout for them yet.

Oh yeah, I'm doing this whole thing with Illustrator only. So basically it's a Vectorman drawing completely done with vector graphics.

    Vectorman WIP!

    I'm drawing the line!

Heh...actually the caption should probably be something like "You like Skulls! I'll give you Skulls!"

Still got a lot of work left to put into it before coloring, but the principal characters are now there Hero, Villain, Damsel in Distress, Man Behind the Hero. What do ya think?

Although I know I'm not the first, I had to respond:

    Cryptic is in San Jose.
NCSoft have offices in Orange County, Brighton (England), and Santa Monica (and a lot of other places).

    [/ QUOTE ]
    That's my guess also

Although there are some celebs that should be melted IMHO, so in this vein, I welcome our new alien oppressors!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah Cryptic is in San Jose, CA. NCSoft offices are in Austin, TX; Brighton, England; Tokyo, Japan; Shang-Hai, China; Bangkok, Thailand; Taipei, Taiwan; and Seoul, Korea. All of which are listed.

I'm assuming Orange County, CA; Santa Monica, CA; and Osaka, Japan also have NCSoft offices.
  22. I use to draw straight on the computer with Adobe Photoshop (currently have CS2) with a Wacom tablet. Lately, with my line-art work, I'm more inclined to sketch things with pencil on my pad, scan the sketches and ink them with Adobe Illustrator (currently have CS2 of this as well). Print them, sketch over them, and repeat [as so].

Coloring is done with a mix of Illustrator and Photoshop, though I'm moving towards using Illustrator exclusively, but need to get more proficient with the Gradiant Mesh tool first.
