Quote:We'll have to see...Did they actually postpone the wedding? I know clark says something like its ok to that he would want to marry her in 5 days or 5 years, but i dont recall them actually saying the wedding wasnt going to happen by the end of this season. (or that they really postponed it more then just putting lois' jitters to rest)
-
Since the main point of the episode was to get Clark and Lois to postpone the wedding stuff (to 5 years from that point), I took it as the writers way to call off the wedding stuff so they clear the slate for the rest of season. Of course, they could have gone other ways to accomplish the same task...

Very true. I've helplessly watched someone die while waiting for the police and help to come. He was shot in front of me, and yes, I immediately called 911. I don't want to ever go through that again, it took almost a year to get over it, and I'm still not quite there.
I'm a strong proponent for people to help when they can, however they can. -

/Smashes mouse on ground
ANOTHER!
Dang it...need to buy another mouse. -
Several years back, I just knew that this series would take Clark and Lex's "relationship" to the next level, and somehow have a kid together.

Hmmm.. it turns out the display of powers that Clone Lex showed last episode is because he's not quite Lex after all, but a Kent....Connor Kent to be exact: (Source)

TVline has broken the story that Alexander Luthor, whose proved impervious to a needle penetrating it on last week's episode, will be revealed to be Conner Kent, made up of the DNA of both Lex Luthor and Clark Kent.
Here's what Michael Ausiello writes, "As foreshadowed in the final seconds of Friday’s episode (as well as a certain AA Asterisk Quiz), Luthor clone Alexander (played by Lucas Gabreel) is actually… Conner frakkin’ Kent! Although I can’t say when exactly his secret identity will be revealed, I can confirm (via the exclusive photo above) that an upcoming episode contains a not-too-subtle nod to the character’s super-powered lineage. (Turns out Conner is something of a Blur fanboy.)
“Conner’s journey is manipulated by a master,” showrunners Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders reveal exclusively to TVLine. “Luckily, someone knows more about Conner’s life than he does. But he should be wary of strangers bearing gifts.”
What are your thoughts on this development (which this Voices From Krypton editor had suggested in some conjecture of the weekend)? Sound off below.

So far its Daphne and Jim they keep giving more powers too. I can't wait for the writers to get around to giving more some of that love to Stephanie and JJ.

Quote:That first outfit and shield are brightly colored as they were made for a USO show. Cap looks like he took the costume from the show and then put on other clothes over it.Does anyone else think that the shield´s way too shiny? And this helmet...omg, why don´t they paint him a bullseye on the forehead? Super Soldier or not, that´s an open invitation to every Sniper.

Quote:*Spoilers! Don't read if you haven't seen this or don't want it spoiled for you. I mean it!*Why would Kevin know how to do that? Even as the person who created the system he'd not how to do it, and if he knew how to do it then the system would have had to explain why he couldn't do it in the first place... and all the characters would have the ability to search for that info and come up with the answer...and with CLU's abilities he could have done it himself, so >.> still a hole, but not as bad as one.
CLU's abilities were limited. It was stated by Kevin Flynn himself. His main purpose/program was only to continue/complete anything Flynn starts, he couldn't do anything new only repurpous things. As for how to get programs out, Flynn stated he had worked it out. The disc is the personal data storage/partitions for individual programs (think of them as apps in a system), CLU can't access the contents of Flynn's disc remotely he needed to get his hands on it.
I might as well add why the club was there as well. Flynn was creating a new grid safe for users to visit ala Second Life. The Bar is a social area meant for users called "End of the Line" positioned next to the light train that brings user passengers to the exit of the grid. Programs were allowed to go into the bar as well to serve customers and fill out the crowd (kinda like the NPCs in the dance club on CoH). -
I tried on a few tv manuals to see if it could translate what's on them, dang foreign instructions. It does ok enough for me to get the gist of it, but the shifting screen makes it break translation too easily and the dictionary itself has some really wrong translations of words, for instance it reads translations of the word "espanol" as "english". It'll probably be useful to me on trips so it was money worth spending. I hope they get some bug fixes and more languages soon.

I feel Watchmen Ultimate Cut is a must have for any Blu-Ray collection.

Yay! The commercialization of space has begun! This is great news!

SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket lifts off Wednesday from Cape Canaveral, Fla.
The successful mission marks a significant victory in the race toward commercial space travel and is expected to eventually lead to astronauts and supplies being delivered by private companies to the International Space Station.
The Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spaceship are the property of SpaceX, a company funded in part by multimillionaire Elon Musk, who made a fortune from the online payment system PayPal.
The unmanned ship lifted off at 10:43 a.m., after its 9 a.m. launch was delayed. It circled the Earth twice before landing in the Pacific, about 500 miles off the Mexican coast, at about 2 p.m. EST.
It was the first re-entry from orbit by a spacecraft owned by a private company.
Last spring, the Obama administration scuttled the new rocket and spaceship NASA was building to replace the space shuttle, which retires next year. Instead, the administration wants to rely on space vehicles provided by private companies. -
I've been wracking my brain to think of who would make a good Raven. Right now all I can think of is Lyndsy Fonseca of Nikita. 10 years ago I would have been screaming for Emily Perkins (of Ginger Snaps) to get the role, and Christina Ricci 15 years ago.
Addendum: Alessandra Torresani (of Caprica) just came to mind as another choice. -
I bought this a while ago, Robert De Niro's dance was just sooo worth it.

Quote:It appears from that article that the writing staff only wrote 2 of the 6 episodes, Darabont wrote another 2 himself, and the last 2 were written by work-for-hire writers. So the move is not that suprising.

My computer is named Eliza, after the psuedo artificial intelligence chat bot. It's voice controlled, has a picture of a vector lined female as the background, and I gave it female voice clips for all the event sounds including the welcome "Hello, my name is Eliza." My laptop is named Liz, and my iPhone is named Eli. Yeah, I'm a total computer geek.

Quote:What's insteresting was Daryl was screaming everything you just said throughout the whole episode.Ok, What is wrong with these people? They do not deserve to live through the episode.
Your sister got bit and died, so sad but dont sit by her side greaving while she has time to turn. God I was hoping that she would just lean up and tear a piece of that dumb girls face off.
Dude got bit on his stomach. Should we try n get him help? Are they really this stupid? Nothing to think about! Dont even wait till he turns, put the shotgun to his head and pull the trigger already!!!
The nice thing about good ensemble pieces is every point of view of the invidividuals in the audience can be voiced by the different characters. -
I mourn him cause even at 84, he was still making movies that made me smile and laugh...I'm saddened cause he'll no longer be making those movies.
