  1. The only issue I have on my Fire/SR is that AVs and other mobs tend to run. I've toyed with taking the EPP that has web 'nade it in just to keep 'em standing there. This is a bigger problem (it seems) in AE mish, but I've seen it on regular TFs too.

    In PM, Castle told me it's a combination of the dot effect of fire and the na-na-can't-hit-me effect of SR basically triggering the AI's "grief" tag.

    It looks like a good build. Not quite 45+ to S/L or melee from a quick glance. I wonder if it's possible to get an SS/Elec to be soft-capped to anything without radically sacrificing the build.

  7. I can't completely remember the missing slots below, but basically I soft-capped my Bots/FF to ranged and energy a while ago (and he's pretty high def on everything else after the Protector Bots bubble him). Taunt + Soft-Cap + Immob = goodness.

  8. Anyone got an SS/Elec build they can share that soft-caps to at least S/L (maybe melee) and maybe other damage types, while also maxing recharge to get the most AOE-y goodness out of Footstomp?

    Thinking of dusting off my SS/ELA now that they may get rid of CP for a decent self-heal.

  9. It's great. I softcapped my Thugs/Dark to smash/lethal for extra killing goodness. I also loaded up Gang War with the +def and +res pet IOs, which is giving my minions in the 30s def before all my to-hit debuffs. Fun times!
  10. I was running Incin - Scorch - Crem - Scorch on my Fire/SR but it seemed to cause a *ton* of AV / Boss running behavior. Wonder if that's been toned down since. This was right after AE launched.

  16. WM has better AOE given Crowd Control - larger target cap and (maybe) higher dmg than equivalent in Axe. Also WM had Clobber upped to an extreme dmg atttack on par with KO Blow and Seismic Smash. Plus WM is just more interesting :P

  22. If you want to go soft-cap (45%) with a bit more utility, I'd recommend something more like this -- changing a few of your slots and powers around.

    Still Perma, but has slotted up Mezmerize better (IMHO, for a tasty 6.5% rchrg) and added Flares to your ranged attacks. Including Incinerate means you get one of your highest-dmg attacks, and it adds to your ranged def.

    I'd like to see Starsman's smash/lethal capped build too.

    I think for a Dom though there is a question of whether soft-cap really makes a difference. Most things will be locked down, so you're not nearly as at-risk as a blaster. Maybe for corner-case scenarios like 2nd ITF mish (Crystals) it helps ....

  23. Here's my final current Fortunata respec. I made this to run ITFs back in the day when they were all the rage, and having a 4-attack chain (3 with hasten up) helped take down the big bosses (vuln to psi).

    I kept AOE hold and AOE confuse for bigger spawns, along with the nuke. Def is soft-capped with ML up and pretty close w/o it. I suppose I could rebuild using Zephyrs for closer-to-soft-cap.

    Anyway, dusted this off today for some AE mish etc. And the toon feels sort of meh. Not the speed or aoe dmg of scrappers or brutes. What am I missing?
