LOL... It's a BASE editor, not a MATH editor.... math is not the editor's strong suit.
It's a bug that crops up occasionally.
Most times, exiting and re-entering your base will reset the prestige amount. Sometimes, however, it's necessary to exit the game completely. If that doesn't do the trick, you may need to contact customer support. -
The only way I know of that a SG can be wiped out, is if a leader kicks everyone and then leaves.
Did you have ANY other players in your SG? If you were gone that long, the leadership star could have gone to someone else. -
More like an observation and conclusion extrapolated from WW's own comment. The conclusion may or may not be on target, but it's difficult to come to any other considering that in the very thread WW was supposed to be answering (as well as the threads here), there were several specific suggestions:
Power Gamer asks about the mission computer
Pagan Priest suggests that existing game textures could be used in bases
Partsman makes suggestions regarding storage and communications
Redlynne makes specific and well laid out suggestions regarding floors and storage
SuperTim suggests being able to use AE maps for bases, and mentions storage concerns as well
I chime in with Redlynne and "raise the stakes"
Golden Ace agrees with me, Redlynne & SuperTim
Memphis Bill also suggests that the mission computer could be more useful
So, did you snip that bit from my post out of context and assign a different meaning to it on purpose? 'Cause I believe there's a term for people who use that tactic in order to generate certain kinds of responses. Needless to say, this will be the only response you'll get from me. -

"He would have taken his nephew to get ice cream that Tuesday, if it wasn't raining."
Quote:That quoted line should read:
"He would have taken his nephew to get ice cream that Tuesday, if it weren't raining".
Quote:Weren't doesn't sound right in that sentence.
Hurray grammar.
Quote:Sounds right to me. Hurray fail?
LOL... All of you guys missed the fact that there is a inconsistency in tense in that sentence:
"He would have taken his nephew to get ice cream that Tuesday, if it wasn't raining."
should be;
"He would have taken his nephew to get ice cream that Tuesday, if it hadn't have been raining."
In casual speech, the "would have" would be shortened to "would'a" (or would've), and the "hadn't have been" would get shortened into "hadn't a' been" (but we're not supposed to write like that). -
It's the regular IO's that run in increments of 5. So they won't show up if you have the slider set to 27 or some other "in between" number.
The set IO's will show as long as the slider is set to any number within the set's level range. -
Quote:Heh, this takes me back to the first year in college. We thought we knew so much!
*chuckle*
When I was in college, almost all of the Professors in nearly every writing class I took (composition, playwriting, poetry, and more), kept saying "There is no such thing as an original storyline/concept/emotion in writing".
I thought they were full of it.
However, the older I get, the more I see how much so many things are recycled. Truly, it comes down to how clever you can be in your recycling attempts. I rarely use the phrase "that's original" these days... I do say "that's clever" or "amusing" or some other such descriptive.
When it comes to names, I don't feel that I'm all that clever. But I do make the effort to make them interesting at least to me. By using historical references, the thesaurus, Google, or even making a name anagram, I rarely have difficulty getting the names I've chosen. They are certainly not by any means "original", but neither are they so common as to be difficult to obtain in the game. -
errrmmm.... no...
Quote:Gremlins begins with inventor Rand Peltzer trying to find a quick gift for his son Billy before returning home from a New York trip. He settles on a unique pet in a Chinatown curio shop--a cute, furry creature known as a Mogwai. Before he leaves, he is warned by the shop's owner that three rules must be obeyed by a Mogwai owner: 1) Keep it away from bright light, 2) Don't get any water on it, and 3) Never, never ever feed it after midnight. Rand takes note of these rules and returns home with the Mogwai to his idyllic small-town home of Kingston Falls. Rand's gift is an instant hit: Billy loves his adorable new pet, naming it Gizmo and taking it everywhere he goes. Unfortunately, he and his friends also begin breaking the rules of Mogwai care. When water is accidentally spilled on Gizmo, it causes him to multiply and produce a number of mischievous little brothers. Among these is the mean-tempered Stripe. Soon enough, the new Mogwai get hold of some food after midnight and this causes them to change from cute fur-balls into nasty, scaly monsters dubbed 'Gremlins.' Written by Monster
Mogwai - cute!
Post-food Mogwai - errrmm... not so cute

Quote:As I recall, they mentioned that the new graphics won't be applied to instanced missions/maps. It is because bases fall under that category that they won't see the new graphic, not because they are being purposely excepted. All the regular instances & maps will still be rendered with the same ol' graphics (there may be a few GR specific exceptions, but I haven't heard definitively on it).Well at hero con they basically showed how little they care about bases when they stated the graphics upgrade wont effect bases at all.
As for low hanging fruit for base improvements, there have been several mentioned in the stickied threads of these very forums. I'm also remembering This Thread started 2 1/2 YEARS AGO.
It comes down to representation and communication.... it used to be much better. We had lists, we had rednames, we were organized... and then we were hit with i13. After that, I pretty much threw my hands up in disgust, and several of our primary players/architects left. Everything since then has had a very distinct feeling of shouting into an large, empty cavern and hearing nothing back but faint echos of vague promises. -

Quote:After all you have Tankers, Defenders, and Scrappers which seem to more more team oriented classes.
Scrappers CAN be team oriented... IF the PLAYER is. But you are correct in that, as a class, they are not necessarily structured for it.
I do like a good team-oriented scrapper-player on my teams, but it is sooooo easy for them to go into "scrappper lock", that it is uncommon to come across someone who can restrain themselves. -
Quote:A: A woodchuck would only chuck as much wood as Chuck Norris would allow it to, because the woodchuck shares Chuck's name. Therefore, Chuck must punish it and make it chuck as much wood as Chuck can. So, a woodchuck would chuck as much wood as Chuck could.<QR>
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? -
I need to amend this statement.... If you fight brutes more than 2 levels below you, you will only get ONE point of xp, even if you win (a win normally grants 2 pts.).
-
lol.... actually, stat-wise we're almost even. I just have one more skill and one more weapon to the advantage... but it's pretty random as to when/if they'll get used.
Not only do you have a pretty decent speed, you have the little knife, which inherently gives multiple attacks. I have faith that you will prevail. -
Quote:Macbeth was also known by Glamis & CawdorAnd just as an FYI, Macdeath is taken as well. I am guessing he is a Shakespearian Zombies Mastermind.

Quote:Two threads in the Bugs forums address this issue.So.. after this patch Sharkhead Isle is all whited out for me. I can still see all the mobs and use the Black Market, but the ground and the surfaces are all whited out. Wassup wit dat?

Quote:You have to be lvl 10 to start a clan.Is anyone her part of a clan? If so what is the name of it so all of us in Triumph can be part of said clan.
Then, I'm not 100% sure how clan invites work... I think you have to send an "invite link" for folks to join, or you can ask to join with the "join a clan" button.... but I think it's still done with linkys.
And for the day:
Battle of the Shield Brutes
Not B Samson's day
Freeeakin Hammer!

Quote:Are you talking about the net? It will hold as long as the thrower doesn't hit you through it. When the net-thrower attacks through the net they've thrown, it will disintegrate. It is most often used to hold pets. I've had pets held for the entire match.Actually, what power is that where each time you hit me, one of my weapons disappears? I WANT THAT POWER, GIVE IT TO MEH!
If you're talking about when you get weapons knocked out of your hands, that is a special feature of the baton. The baton will also give you a slightly higher chance to block an attack. Not as much as the sword and/or shield, but a small chance nonetheless. Me likey teh baton... I get annoyed when my brutes throw them away.
LOL Looks like another Yeesha out there to vie with Yeesha1. -
Might also be that some returnees are clearing out the closets of their old SG's

I would just like to thank my pupil for starting this thread and providing more fodder for my brutes. I have added you all to my search list.
Just remember boys and girls, if you fight brutes more than 2 levels below you, you will not get xp.
And be sure to play your brutes to make them strong, you don't want to end up on this list.
I'm sure some of you have come across this site already. And although I personally don't advocate some of the .... tactics... described, they do have quite a bit of useful information and little side tools to have fun with.
btw... My brute is in my sig. -
Quote:This. We already experienced how the lookieloos react when they were able to get to level 50 in a day when the AE came out. They quickly got bored, started complaining and quit. By September they were gone.
We even had one of our SG founders come in just for the AE, then he disappeared when they "nerfed" it. Flake. NCSoft is not making any money off his account now. -
Except that he really hasn't been functioning as "our" red-name. He's always been more of a powers minion. Also, he no longer has a "red" name.
We've not had true representation since we lost Ex Libris and Lighthouse.
