I actually have to say I agree with Obsidius on this.
When I first joined the forums back in 'o7, there was a definite sense that certain community reps were more involved with the community. For example, it was commonly understood that Ex Libris "carried the flag" for the PvP and, to some extent, the Base Builder's communities.
There used to be more of a sense that our community reps were more interactive, keeping a finger on the pulse of the community. If the community voiced a concern, you could almost count on a community rep stepping in to say they'd bring it up to so-in-so and keep us posted... and they would follow through on it.
Perhaps it is simply a matter of perception, but it really does feel like the current OCR team is keeping a certain distance, perhaps in the name of impartiality, or something, who knows. In any case, to me, the feel is definitely "cooler" than what it used to be.

HALP!
I have 5 lbs of ripe prune plums (small, egg-shaped) in my 'fridge.... What can I do with them besides jam (which I'm not very good at)?
I have a very clever friend who made a little "Pico de Plum" salsa, which was quite yummy, but she did it when her fruit was still a little underripe and therefore more firm (also, she didn't make 5lbs of it). My fruit has ripened and needs a treatment NAO.

Not exactly sure what you mean, but have you checked your CoH folder? There should be a "screenshot" folder within it where all your screenies automatically go.

I'm voting for OPTION 2
The "cleaner menu" argument doesn't hold water; even with option 1 you need to clean up the menus, they're a disaster.
It's more about how people use the legacy items (remember the base beaker stand?). Sometimes, the lack of texture actually works to the advantage . Yes, a bikini with "real strings" would be great, but then it would destroy the "bare" illusion I can get when I put it under an open jacket, like so:
As for the tails... I have not "upgraded" to the animated ones. I find them a little distracting.
And as a side note on hair.... I was VERY disappointed not to be able to use 2 colors for my resistance hair.
Shading is all well and good, but I love the ability to use 2 colors to get a unique (and sometimes more realistic) hair color.

First of all, welcome to the boards. I see from some of your other posts that you are relatively new to the game and having fun jumping right in with both feet.
Although I can understand why you might think to come here to build up an SG, there is actually a separate forum for recruiting. Or, you could even try the Freedom Server forums. Honestly though, most folks prefer to play a few rounds on a team before they join/invite to an SG.
As for the prestige/inf issue, it used to be much worse. The Dev's actually adjusted it a few issues back (P-Wiki reference).

I worked with a group that took down a Storm Aspect last Sat. on Justice. I don't know how many times they'd attempted it before, but it was my second time with them.
Now, I was not one of the organizers, but I was listening in on the leader chat.
From what I could tell, the strategy came down to a few things....
- Borrowing from Hami strategy, we had a main tank keeping aggro off the groups when we had to leave and take care of the spawns.
- Each team was assigned a cube to "cover" when the respawns came up. That way, we could go directly to the cube we were responsible for and dispatch the spawn in a timely & efficient manner. I think someone was watching the cubes for the "respawn glow". The quicker we got the spawns down, the less time the Aspect would have to regen. Occasionally, this required using a nuke on the spawns.
- We used our nukes in rounds: First round, the first member of each team used their nukes on the Aspect, then we all pulled out our pets (remember, pull pets out after the nukes). Second round, the second team member of each team used their nukes... and so on. Actually, on the third round, we basically hit him with everything we had, and did end up bringing him down.
General commentary on the reward ranged in variations of the same; "Really?... that's ALL?"
Considering the preparation they went through to make sure that everyone had nukes (did a separate "nuke run night"), as well as allowing time for folks to pull salvage together for empowerment buffs (including folks who were NOT a part of their SG), plus the organization of team makeup...
When all was said & done, the battle fought and won, the reward was understandably a bit of a .... how shall I say it... anti-climax.

But for the life of me, I can't remember the program that does this... You might try PMing Talek... or Zombie Man... IIR, he likes to play with that kind of stuff too.

Remember, the nukes have a limit on how many targets they affect... so don't pull your pets out until after your nukes... You don't want your pets stealing nuke yumminess from the players.
We went in rounds...
- First round: first person of each team used their nukes, then everyone pulled out the pets.
- Second round: second person of each team used nukes, then everyone pulls out pets..
- Third round:... well, the plan was to continue in the same vein, but we ended up throwing everything at him and brought him down fairly quickly.

or stack a bunch of lanterns and connect a floortile to them... slide the floor tile up and down the stack of lanterns...
Put your flooring material (usually block style desks) on the tile to float it.

Reading about rice makes me want to share a stupid easy and quick way to make stroganoff. This is the version I'll do if I want to spend minimal time in the kitchen. (ie. 10 mins or so) Otherwise I'll make it more from scratch, but this is a proven winner.
Put rice in rice cooker following proper proportions of water/rice (this does change depending on the type of rice. I prefer jasmine rice as it holds up better with sauce and isn't as sticky as your traditional white rice). Let rice cook in rice cooker (about 20-25 mins. It'll tell you when its done cooking)
About 10 minutes after rice was started...
Take some precooked frozen meatballs, heat them in a covered nonstick pot/pan until heated. Season as necessary. Add a packet of brown gravy mix following the instructions on how much water to add with the packet into the pan with the meatballs. Let that thicken up a bit, then add 1/2 to 3/4 cup of sour cream, stirring well. Let meat and sauce bubble and thicken up to desired consistency. Take off heat and wait for rice to finish cooking (if it hasn't finished by this point.)
Scoop meat and sauce over cooked rice and you're done. Om nom nom!
Instead of the gravy mix, she'd use onion soup mix, just mixed in with the browned hamburger, then a little cornstarch & water for thickening. Instead of mixing in the sour cream, she'd just put a dollop on the individual servings. Served over rice or noodles, whatever took her fancy.
I really like the idea of doing it with meatballs!
