The biggest problem with storm is all the crazy KB. Plant cancels it out. nothing like watching Tornado sit on a mob. then moving on if it wants to to another mob, and watching it sit on it. same is true with lighting storm. The biggest issue with it is KB mobs out of its own range. Not going to happen with plant.
Sure other troller primaries do the same thing, but not with the base damage the primary brings.
Plant is up there with Illusion when it comes to soloing. -

Nothing wrong with Mids. Tornado is the boss killer of the set. The trick is to keep spamming -kb and, preferably, to get things hurricane'd on top of one another so tornado does damage to multiple mobs.
People who only use tornado on AV's and "bad pulls" make me cry.
Plant/storm is terrific fun btw
Edit: Oh, and later on, try to fit in a contagious persuasion proc into Seeds - it works remarkably well to one-shot confuse multiple bosses.

I did not know Tornado had an AoE component!!!! wow I was just happy watching it hit a immob'd mob and then move on.
Tornado has a great recharge already. I don't even have i slotted yet and I like it. -
I think mids is barfing on Tornado. please load this up and tell me why the damage listed for Tornado is so high.

I use roots with FR all the time. I don't want them running out of the Radius.
I use Roots everytime its up actually -
My current favorite is plant/storm. He has great damage great controls, lots of fun tools from storm.
And....CARRION CREEPERS!!!! as an added bonus they sound like Godzilla. -

Here is my build I am currently working with. I am only 33 now and I have just begun collecting the IO Sets. You can assume I have the traditional IO slotting with either 15 or 25 IOs. I like to start IO sets at 32 - 35 level. When I get to 41 I am thinking of respecing out of air supp and entangle, as I will have more damage dealing with ice blast.

For Pools you want Hasten. If you intend to solo at all you will want either Entangle slotted for damage, or a pool attack ( Air Superiority, Flurry, or Jump Kick ), or both if you solo often. That should pretty well fill your build till you get APP powers in the 40s.

Thats why I took Entangle. I am not a fan of single target immobs but I slotted it up for damage. Now that I have creepers and about to get pet, I may drop it now. not sure.

Quite a few sets have easily reachable +rech, +acc, +recovery. Mids is imperative. -
mid's wont show me the numbers on pets, at least I don't know how to see it. is there a need for more accuracy to call for a one ACC/DAM?

Both are good because they make solo'ing controllers possible. I am in the middle of leveling up a plant/storm and it has been great fun.
I am not sure but I think Ill/kin is better for damage although rad helps fill in the control gaps illusion has. -

I know to 6 slot it but whats the best ones to use? get some recharge and end redux, sure I got that but do I go for deff debuff? damge? IO Sets?
