    This is certainly an April Fools joke, but There should be a 4th option for Sound on and Visual Sounds on. I wanna here it and see it, only because I think the graphical representation could be fun for about 10 minutes.

    You are not the first or even the second to voice this opinion. I think this joke is going to backfire on the Devs, now people are going to be pissed when they never get this feature.

    DOOOMM! Devs hate Villains AND Heroes for teasing us with this...

    But damn it is funny the reactions some people are having to this funny and elaborate prank. Though Honestly, If we could make our own size, color and words for the VSFX Id be down, but only if I could keep my real sounds too..

    So funny joke there guys. Almost had me there in the first paragraph, you kind of gave it away at 'Issue 12 is being rechristened: issue 12, zap boom bang' or what ever. But none the less, thank you for helping me start off April fools day with a bang.
  6. Any chance the improved costume creator will allow us to choose wether or not to spend our free costume tokens in the tailor? Id like to be able to save them for big overhauls rather than having to use them when I want to change a couple details that really bother me..

  7. First off, let me say that this is a great guide!

    Secondly, I dont know if anyone has said this, (I admit i have not read all the posts in this threat) but when you get the "players under constant debuff" Not only do you get damage and damage resistance debuffed, but according to "real numbers" it debuffs your accuracy too. In my case it was a -1.50 debuff.. I only checked it during one arc, 20-24 so I dont know if that varies with level, but I thought I would let people know.

    I've noticed lots of very metallic looking things in the game. Arachnos NPC chest plates, the metal shoulder paldrons and such in the costume creator, widows have reflective stuff on them.

    I think perhaps if these things aren't looking super metallic to you check your settings, or possibly get a new GFX card. I got a new one recently and made all the difference in the world, started noticing textures that I never saw before.

I'm not sure I agree that villains really need more exclusive zones...there are a lot of zones hero side that aren't used that much. Wouldn't make sense to spend all the time to make a bunch of villain only zones so they could sit unused too. Really nothing to do with how many people are playing villains...doesn't make any more sense to make exclusive hero content either. That's really more of a Posi quesiton though.

    I think you are seriously mis-representing BaBs words here. He didn't say there would be no more villain only zones, he only said that HE didn't think they would be needed. He gave his opinions, not that of the entire CoX developement team. Plus in the very beggining he did say "Possibly" so there could be more Villain zones in the future. He also stated that this question was more of Positron's domain.

    I think it is important to remember that BaB , incredibly cool as he is, is the animations guy, he is not the end all be all of what happens in the game or the zones etc. I think it also helps to read ALL of red name posts, not just part of them.


    Also, any ideas of what the "Midnight Club" Zone will be? Perhaps something like the Vanguard base in the RWZ for the Midnighters?

    Its called Carmageddon. 1, 2 and I think 3. A game all about nasty attack cars. Not for the feint of heart and definatly not for kids, but loads of sadistic fun.

    P.S. If you do unearth a copy of this game, (The latest is like 6-8 years old) It's a good idea not to drive for a good 30 minutes after playing...
  11. I recently started building a villain group and a base to go with it and I thought of a number of things that could be added to bases. I figure since Devs mentioned recently wanting to get engineers to fix base raids, maybe they could add things to the bases as well.

    First off, opening and closing doors. They have them in mishes, itd be nice to have actual doors between rooms of the base.

    Secondly, more floor, wall and cieling options. I Kind of would like plain solid color for all 3, also some carpets would be nice for floors, like in office buildings and such.

    More recreational items. IE poker tables, pool tables etc, my villains need a place to kick back and relax you know!

    Also, could we customize the entrance portal? Itd be nice to make it a wall portal like the ones in the RWZ or even like a big portal like at portal corp, just for flavor!

    Mini Arena- Itd be nice to have a room where we could do some sort of sparring\training with each other. Test my char in PvP with other villains. Perhaps in a special sectioned off room or something? An arena style thing like in Pocket D would be nice.

    Multi level bases. It might be tough, but could we make our bases be more than one story? maybe some spiral stair cases?

    Secret rooms- Id like to have some sort of room where only people with certain ranks could get in, like a secret conference room or something. - This could go with my opening and closing door option.

    Lastly, we can have vaults and invention computers in our base, can we get a remote black market or WW uplink? Something that will let us connect directly to the auctions from the base and our items can be "teleported" to us? Itd be nice to be able to do all the invention stuff from the comfort of home instead of having to go to SC or CaD to get vaults, auctions and invention tables all in the same spot.

    I may have had one or 2 other ideas, but i'd really like to see these in game.

  13. Frankly I am Just curious as to whats going on with the Frost Fire Mish. Obviously the game stills sees the ice there since people go sliding around, Im just curious as to if anyone knows why the ice turnned invisible etc? I know this may seem like a silly question (If they knew why itd be fixed by now etc) But to be honest I am a curious sort, I like to know how things work, so with something like this it just seems like a fun puzzle.

    Also sort of curious why this hasnt been brought up more in this forum since it is a popular mish and this "invisible objects" thing is apparently the culpret, im surprised more people dont bring it up.

    P.S. Are controllers really supposed to be a solo class? Didnt the Devs say that some ATs are meant to be used for team work, and especially with certain power pools. (Recent Positron interview anyone?)
