Pingus have played pass the TO (training Origin) for a long time, and there are still occasionally random drops. The best to use is the level 1 you by in City Hall.
When you receive it, you cannot pass it to the person who gave it to you.
You are not supposed to delete it. (ruins the fun)
Passing it during combat is the best. -
Quote:3 bonus powers I avoided mainly because they didn't fit my character concept. I don't like the idea of having to pick powers just to fill slots in my build. My Corruptor's taking Leaping and Fighting pool powers because there aren't enough secondary powers that fit her concept, and I had the think carefully about those.
I'll just have to take JusticeValkyrie's advice and never even put the 'bonus' powers in my tray.
I never said that making Fitness inherent was a nerf, or a drawback. It just creates annoying build problems for my low-level characters and any future builds I come up with.
Wow, just wow.
I can not think of a single down side to receiving fitness for nothing. Everyone of my toons will become even more of a super hero/villain with the additions. -
very niceley done.
I wont need to bring my tank to one, so if I am on next time, i can bring debuffs. my work schedule normally prohibits things though... -
Quote:take a look at the build I posted above. I can make a modification for the dark mastery if wanted. The above is what I am working towards. IE LotG+recharge and the other super expensive ones are coming, but not a priority. THe rest of the build is pretty cheap. It is really easy to soft cap, which is at 45%. Slotting the sets helps quite a bit on end reduction.I'm no expert that's why I come to you guys for advice. Maybe you can suggest something better that isn't radically different from what I was going for. The bonuses I was going for were in end reduction/modification/recovery (this toon is an end hog with just common IOs), recharge, accuracy, defense, and damage. I honestly don't know what the softcap is for defense but I was under the impression that I was at or close to it by following the build that Paragon posted as closely as I could. I noticed that both he and I forgot to slot resistance into deflection and thought that I would add that. I put the kb protection in because I thought I didn't have enough. Is active defense all I need? When I do start slotting this guy with sets I plan to go after the problems with end first and then worry about defense, etc.

Quote:Well hands-down if you mean "from level 39 onwards"
Fire/Dark from level 6, and Fire/Storm from level 16, as that's when you get the -resist & slow patches which help you leverage Rain of Fire.
Fire/Storm is great. I really enjoy playing it and the amount of damage it does. -
I would use binds over a macro for this. Keep it simple.
Here are the binds I use for my kin. Including mouse binds, which helps for large groups of multiple teams.

Quote:Do you have Frost? You have not posted abuild to show the awesomeness of it. On my fire/ice tank I dropped GIS and have not looked back.Well where else am I gonna put it? All my other powers are either 6-slotted or slotted so comprehensively that adding another Enhancement isn't going to do anything.
And if that's the case, then what power am I going to take it its place? Teleport Foe can always be useful, I suppose, but I'd still have 5 slots to put somewhere.
---
It's a misnomer that Greater Ice Sword is somehow inferior to Ice Sword or the epic blasts due to having a lower DPS. If you look at virtually any power, the quicker, less-damaging powers almost universally have higher DPS (see Burst versus Full Auto). This is nothing exclusive to Greater Ice Sword; it's just a big fat case of lrn2play.
Additionally, I have Ice Sword as well, and I have the epic blast, so why would I remove Greater Ice Sword? That will make my damage go down; there's no way to argue with that.
. -
look at the one second difference hasten will have on the powers.
I dont know what you are going for with the build, I am really baffled by it. As long as you enjoy it though...
You are not soft capped, but you could be. You went after bonuses that have decreased effect. You added KB protection even though you already have it. -

Quote:This is awesome. Too many toons to respec now... but well worth it I think. Poor Mids.Just reading the original post about the Inherent Fitness Rangle posted and it made me think of another change to my tankers which is when I actually take my agro aura.
If the health/stamina inherents are available at lvl 2 (if I understood the post Castle made correctly) then I won't feel the need to delay taking my agro aura (e.g. Blazing Aura) until either just before or after Stamina at 20 because it is such an endurance hog! -

Me!!! heroside on my tank.
And I can help out with just about anything as needed. -
-
I wish I could find my post about Dipsnot. I had a great one with links...
And his drama came long before he even heard of Hami. Back to the SG recruitment night... when he was still in his thirties. I really tried to help him in the beginning... and I still regret telling him about that night and the forums. It was a downward spiral. -
I really wanted the name "Nerd Rage" but it was already taken. So, I have "Interweb Nerd Rage" just because of the drama on the "Community" server.
Get over it people. This is a game. Devote some time and energy researching economics and history so you can be angry at those elected morons instead of other people here to play a game.
I dont get to play nearly as often as before, so when I do I want it to be fun. There are some people I will team with and some people I wont. Regardless, does it really matter?
Heck, I am even playing my fire tank again... -
very cool. I hope he is enjoying the game. He played his tank pretty darn well.
-
You cant say anything politics CU... just sayin. Thankfully, in The Rabid Pingu, there is a real free speech channel.
All rhetoric aside. glad things are working out and everyone who got their panties in a wad have been reinstated or removed as the case may be. -
-
Someone already has the name "Nerd Rage" on Champion... I hope they are putting it to good use.
