Most attacks have S/L in them. Soft capping S/L on invuln also caps you to everything that has a S/L component...

SS/SD is great... I have one. SS/WP is great... I have one. On teams, i prefer the /WP. The /wp is not even capped, though S/L is 38%. I like my fire/wp better than both... and it is a scrapper. (I refuse to remake it as a brute...)
  2. Mine is now 46. Was great until a crappy ITF. I dont like power siphon. I used ninja Run till 35. Aid Self is a must. (I might remake mine as a Dark/EA...)

  3. stealth, grant invis, aid other, aid self? why?
  4. change energy cloak for a tank to not be a stealth. Make it the taunt aura and still a defense power as well.

I have a kinetic melee/energy brute which sometimes is great... sometimes go splat... and on a terrible terrible ITF, went splat more times than the toon ever has since I made it. (compared to two great ones where it never was defeated but only because of extra buffs which it HAD to have.)

My dislike for the toon is more because of kinetic melee and my real dislike of power siphon. I would rather have a "fulcrum shift" which is similar to soul drain I think.

Energy Armor would not be as durable as Ice Armor. Since I leveled up my stone/fire... I have not played my ice/stone...

The passives would need to be much stronger, which I think they need to be anyways.

Conserve Power... what to make it become? I would go for Energize, to keep with the theme of lowering endurance cost. The added regeneration I think would be very important and needed. (I know I want it now on my brute...)

    I still want Radiation Armor.

Between Frozen Fists (for bruising), Ice Sword, and Frozen Touch, you've got your single-target attacks fairly set. Then frost and Frozen Aura for your AoE. GIS is skippable.
I removed GIS and have not looked back.

BU + Frost + Frozen Aura + Burn + Frost in one BU bonus is nice.

I rarely ever use Ice Patch anymore.

And LOL at Ice melee in PVP... watching paint dry would be more fun.
  6. Just wait till you learn the Dev's cruel trick of Chemical Burn.

With a good team your fire tank will shine. With a mediocre team your fire tank will do poorly. (I tanked the ITF on my Kin/Energy Armor brute as the only melee before and it isnt even level 50 yet.) I have a multi billion build on my fire tank and it still gets torn to shreds at times. That is why I created my stone tank.

So in that sense, there's nothing really to 'join'. It's more the fact that many of us have been playing on Champion for years and are aware of folks who are generally interested in these types of challenges.
Every once in a while they slum it and invite me along even. (Thanks again for helping me get the MoSTF on my fire tank for those that were there.)

    Congratulations on the run.

I am having fun with mine.
  10. All of my brutes went to the hero side...
  11. Ice_Ember

    After 7 years

Take care Dinah. I hope all works out for you.
  12. I am enjoying my KM/EA brute. (more than my EM/EA stalker)

Once I added Weave and some IO sets, I am very near the soft cap (44.76% S/L) and this helped tremendously. I have a few more sets to add, and going for set bonuses at lvl 35, I will be over the soft cap easily to all but negative energy.

I also have aid self, which is rarely used an only has the base slot so far.

I wish the heal in the set was better though.
  13. Ice_Ember

    At a dilemma...

Stone is the best tank for survival. Stone melee is a great control and damage set.

You can now get teleport and not have to take a prerequisite. IO's are a stone tanks best friend.

I took Tough and Weave and using sets It moves quite well. Each defense armor has a +runspeed and +recharge. Using other sets to boost run speed and recharge it still has positive recharge in Granite and, with Ninja Run, will keep up with those using SS. It moves fast. I took teleport for curbs and stairs when needed. I used fly and Ninja Run until Inherent fitness and I added super jump. (yes, it has fly, SJ, and tp)

I did not cap S/L because i slotted for +recharge in attacks, but it is at 39% using rock armor. for small teams, that is plenty. In TF's and such i use granite. (making a stone tank without granite is just dumb. It is not always needed, but not having it makes ______....)

It is by far the best tank I have.

  16. Champion BMT if you want to ONLY discuss badges, Monsters, and task Forces. Anything off topic will get you silenced or kicked.

Champions United is where you can discuss anything unless it upsets Bud, who will kick you if he feels like it.

There are others, hit me up with a tell if I am ever in game.
  17. I think instead of a hold, the toggle should be tohitt debuff and damage debuff, though not as strong as RI or EF. (Chilling Embrace damage debuff with AAO tohitt debuff.)

Mutation, make it a cross of Fallout and self rez.

I will look again later, bed time now.

    Cool, thanks.

Two by itself is not a whole lot, but when added to other endurance gains from IO's and accolades it will add up. My Kin/EnA brutes shows in Mids to have 126 End total at 50. ( I just wasnt for sure about Superior Conditioning adding as much as it shows.)
  19. does adding more slots to Superior Conditioning actually raise it or is it a static 5 which is non enhanceable? (search fu is weak today)
  20. Because of NC Soft support issues I and work issues as well I was not able to make it. At around 2 i passed out after being up for 20 something hours.

Gratz to all who received the badges.

Thanks for hosting. Maybe next time.
  21. I have been wanting a rad armor set for a long time. I will have to look over the posting more to comment, but so far looks nice.

I envisioned a mixed resist/defense set with a -damage aura.
