Additionally Granite is the only T9 power in a Tanker primary that you *have* to take to make the set really work (as we've become accustomed to it working).
[/ QUOTE ]
I took Tough and Weave... and I am rarely in Granite unless on an ITF or STF.
[/ QUOTE ]
But for survivability sake it sounds like you took Tough and Weave so you didn't have to put up with the negative aspects of Granite, until you needed it for an ITF or STF.
[/ QUOTE ]
No. I still run Rooted, which is slower speed than granite. Rooted does not ahve the -recharge though. I have negated both with IO's. Mystone/fire runs faster in granite than a normal toon does with sprint and swift. It keeps up with SS in a mission (not pace, just is not left in the dust.)
I took tough and weave because I wanted the atypical stone tank, and it worked out very well. -

I see Inv (obviously), WP, SD and Fire tankers much more frequently on Justice.
[/ QUOTE ]
Play on a different server. There are a whole bunch of Stone tanks out there.
The only change I would like to see is possible costume modifications. I think the set is fine as-is. (Thankfully we are all entitled to our own opinion.) -

Stone armor is just fine. IO's do remove the penalties you speak of. You can have a postive run speed bonus, positive recharge speed bonus, and diminish the damage reduction of Granite with IO's. So what if you get stuck on a curb....
My stone/fire tank has fly as a travel power. I have never taken TP on it and I dont plan to.
I would much rather they beef up fire armor before they nerf granite.
I also spend more time out of granite... with IO's you cn cap S/L defense. (I also have Tough and Weave... it works awesome on the "regen" tank....) -

Well, it's not the costume I would enter into the contest. Here it is, but I think the one I posted was better.

LOL!
Dude. You look like a Praetorian Century 21 Realtor. Instead of the Gold Blazer, in the Praetorian universe you get "70's Station Wagon Green" Blazers.
I give it a thumbs up!
[/ QUOTE ]
I was trying to make it 'money green' but 'Praetorian real-estate agent' works too, I guess.

did you sell Marauder his warehouse? -
I turn broadcast off and put it in a separate tab. It is one of the first things i do when i create a new toon.

The Devs never intended to have Rikti Comm Officers act the way they did, it was a complete oversight on their part, when the "Special" versions were included in the MA. That was their fault, as they should have realized the differences in the Spawn of that Critter.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not true. Before alot of you started playing, Rikti Comm Officers gave normal xp but the Rikti Portals and minions also gave xp. The portals gave ridiculous amounts. People were farming the Comm Officers for the Portals. When they nerfed it, they increased the XP of Comm Officers.
If I recall, the other NPC that got nerfed around the same time were the BP Death Shamans.
[/ QUOTE ]
I dont recall the summoned rikti giving xp but i know the portals gave large xp up untill very recently when they took all XP from portals but gave comms rikti LT xp but minion HPs. Reason being in the RWZ people were running around tagging the portals and running off, after a while they despawned and the free xp would flow.
[/ QUOTE ]
This goes way back a few years...
The rikti summoned through the portal would give xp.
One person would sit in a map with phase shift on (before it became timed....)
THe entire room would fill with summoned rikti. You can fit a whole bunch of rikti in a room if you sit for 24 hours. This is also when critters could stack an infinite number onto one spot.
This is also before the aggro cap of 17.
This is before the max target limit of 17.
Now that the room is filled with rikti... one Invuln tank would enter and aggro the entire room of thousands of rikti. One blaster would pop reds... Aim... and Build-Up... and defeat everything in the room.
The level 1's sk'd to 40 would instantly level to 30. (this is also before the 5 level limit on side kick's.)
It took a tad bit of planning but it was not hard to do at all.
This explains the phase shift nerf, aggro cap, max number of critters damaged cap, xp nerf on summoned critters, and sk level range nerf all in one fell swoop. -

They would load I15 on the test server so we can test it for the long weekend. I guess they dont want alot of bugs squashed at once.
[/ QUOTE ]
They want to enjoy their weekend away from the game and with their families. And I hope that they do. (I have to work all weekend which is normal.)
Besides... I sent Posi two more bugs. (I think they are bugs anyways. He has not commented back yet... if he does at all.)
Everyone have a good, fun, and safe weekend. -
Absolutely awesome chart. I am not nearly knowledgeable to even think about attempting something like that.
Thank you much for compiling the chart, it looks great. -
The main issue I had with them was the number required to do while testing an arc. I had no issue getting badges actually doing arcs (particularly one i created just to get the badges.)
THe dev choice and hall of fame I did have a problem with. But it was not a big deal. I still dont have all of the flash back badges because of the horrendous arcs in the lower 40's hero side. One day I might get them but since my account is screwed up on Titan network I doubt it. -

I had to purchase a certain magazine a couple years ago... I was disappointed. The one with Belinda Carlisle was WAY better. -
the 5th mission in my arc is tough because of the custom group. If you have a kin it will help. It is not a super tough arc, it is really quite simple. But it can be a challenge.
Arc 69582.
Let me know what you think. I am going to do an arc with just the custom group when I get time. And going by the feedback I have gotten so far, I will tweek this arc a bit. -
in the first 3 missions of my arc i have a random patrol in Chimera ninjas talking about a "ninja parade" and talking about not being seen. In the 4th mission you get to fight Chimera.
I need to do some tweaking to the arc but it is published. Arc 69582. -

NCsoft will be granting a (1) free respec to each active character, to enable your freespec please type /respec on the build you wish to change.
[/ QUOTE ]
when will this be granted or has it been already? -
[ QUOTE ]
don't know if it's been covered but you can /getglobalname toonname and it will give you the global of the person who has that toon name.
Example
/getglobalname Drunken Avenger will tell you the global is @drunken avenger
good way to trace down who has the name and at least send them a tell to see if they are using it.
[/ QUOTE ]
does it work when they are offline? -
[ QUOTE ]
Not quite Steele, that was in place for a while (~4 weeks) until the currently active system, which is purely the number on the TF (logged on or off).
This went in in March

I might start soling Posi again... I missed that patch note because of how busy I was during that time. I cant log off the second account now to get it for both... but I can solo it again (when I feel masochistic...) -
just did posi again for the first time since the change to minimum team size was changed for the spawns... and it is not solo friendly anymore....
I still hate this tf and 55 merits is not enough. -
QR
The timer for earning merits from the same TF is too long. If you still want to make it to a once a day tf, them make it 18 hours or so. Trying to keep track of the 24 hour timer is pain. You either cant run the same toon on the tf on the next day, or you take a chance in losing the reward. (18 hours makes it a large enough window for those that get started at random times to not be penalized.)
The number of merits for recipes is too high and makes everything feel like a grind. Risk vrs Reward is no longer the question for me. Reward vrs time-sink is.
At least this makes getting the day job badges easier... I find my self playing less because I know it is going to take a while to get the IO's I want for each toon.
I do really like the idea of the merit system. I know that I can slowly get the merits needed for the stuff I want and that is what is important. (I really like that I can choose the lvl of the reward now. That in itself is worth the system, I just wish the timer was lower and recipes cost less.) -
QR
having to "train" level by level is a pain. If it could be implemented similar to a respec it would be much more user friendly.
I really like the option and I have been asking for it for a while. Now, if I could only swap power sets... (I would make my fire/ice tank an ice/fire tank.) -
