    It will only hit once unfortunately.

    When it was first available, the chance would individually roll against everything it hit. That was awesome, but it was very OP.

    This is the build I am going for. I have most of the IO's already in storage. The reason I am going for the S/L defense is because many ranged attacks also have a S/L component. Dont forget the change to defense bonuses have both typed and positional now.

    My billions reference is if you want purples, which wont improve my build much, if at all.

    My spines/vuln tanks very well. It can cap S/L when surrounded and is at 36% with one mob. It does not have tough or weave. It does have Aid Self. (numbers are real close, I have not played it in a few weeks.)

    But, as with all things. Opinions vary. What works best for you may not work best for everyone. The opportunity cost is also a variable. I have the IO's ready for this build. I am saving up to get IO's for other builds for other toons. My spines/vuln is a better farmer than my fire/ice. My fire/ice is my badge toon. With the better build I may want to play it more, but the other tanks and scrappers are more fun and not a one trick pony.

    You get what you pay for. It is perfectly relevant. If you want to spend billions you get better IO's.

    And I think Kinetic Combats are better on a fire tank with Obliteration's.

    I will respec mine to 41%defense after I get bored with running with SO's on the second build. It wont be the best, but it is what I can afford at the moment.

    with the amount of influence it would take to build it again, yes it is.

    Mine will not be as good as yours because I do not have the time or influence. Dont misconstrue this hate because of a have/have not ordeal. I am very much a capitalist and believe you work for or towards what you have. You have earned your tank and its capabilities and I think it gives goals for those looking for better.

    I have a 50 shield/ice which I like. I like it more than my 50 fire/ice. AAO really helps with the low damage of the single target attacks. If you solo, herd up a few spawns and saturate AAO and attack the boss. When it is nearly defeated, use BU + Frost + Shield Charge + Frozen Aura + Frost to wipe out the herd. The road to 50 can be painful though and I cant really talk about that. I PL'd mine to 50 to compare to the fire/ice. (Now that I am back I can start that up again.)

    Single target is still painfully low. Frost, when slotted for range (Dam/range HO's) is nice, but still not as good as a PBAoE, such as Combustion.

    Frozen Aura is good now. GIS is still not good when compared to other heavy hitters in other sets.

    you can count HF as a bonus over fire, but FE at 90 sec recharge is not in my opinion.

    The never ending endurance is nice. I have a dark/elec brute and siphon life helps quite a bit.

    As always, I am happy for more power proliferation though. I will make an electric melee tank I think.

    Lefts on Red too if it is on a one way st. And you can pass on the shoulder to go around people turning left. The speed limit is a recommendation and usually as long as you are around ten miles over or less you will not get a ticket.

  16. i would give FE the same treatment as BU. The more I have been playing my Fire/Ice tank with it, I now know why I was told, and advised to skip it. The added damage every 90 seconds is not worth it. I get more out of popping reds. The damage bonus from AAO is more consistent.

    Thanks for the reply. And I dont blame you for not doing it, it is a bit of work. When I get back I will finish my testing with shield/ice vrs fire/ice.

    I am really liking Shield defense. I cant wait to play the Shield fire and see how it is.

    I laughed at this. But, I almost agree. I did delete a 36 elec/elec blaster because of the nerfs. It had done all the TF's to that point. I still have not recreated one. I would not delete a toon now who ahd done Posi, I really hate that TF.
  19. fire/shield is the way to go. Shield can be soft capped easily. Fire melee is a beast.

    I have a dislike for fire armor and how weak it is is. I have a 50 fire tank and I would hate to see how squishie fire armor is for scrappers. I do really like my fire/shield scrapper. It is great.

  24. Fire ball is the better of the two. Ice storm causes scatter.

    I am leaning towards earth mastery and quicksand to keep foes in burn longer and have them not run as far. Stalagmites is much less damage than fire ball, but Quicksand and burn i think will make up for it.
