  1. Rise and Fall part X is up.
  2. Rise and Fall Part IX is up, now back to my essay.
  3. Part VIII of Ahren's story is up, Part IX might take a bit since school will demand much of my time for the next few days.
  4. Parts I - VII are now posted for Ahren's story.
  5. I've begun posting Ahren's story, since it already has several parts I'm posting a couple pieces each day but not the entire thing at once. Wouldn't want anyone getting bored reading one seriously long post.
  6. Good thing links aren't hard to make. Thanks again to those who've already been reading along.
  7. I did not know about the GP site you built for fan fiction, nice idea. By the way, kudos to those who've put stuff together and posted it here and elsewhere in the Protector threads.
  8. I'd check your teleport destination...

No thanks, I'm not hungry right now.

    I'm definitely not THAT hungry.

Yes that's my intrepid PB, stuck in the donut shop. Good thing he has Dwarf and could teleport himself out of there.
  9. To Jordan and Konoko (and anyone else who has a tried and true cure for Cysts), yes there are several ways by which to win against Cysts. Sooner's point here (I know this because I helped her refine this tactic to a brutal science) is to let people know about these tactics.

It is staggering how few people (particularly high level Kheldian players) who do not know about the massive edge a human form Kheldian has over any non-Kheldian AT when fighting Nictus. Can a Regen Scrapper, Invul Tanker or Fire Blaster win such fights? Of course they can, but (and I know this from my own PB's experience) no one can handle Nictus as well with consistency.
  10. With a superb site out there like Vidiotmaps, I have not sought out an alternative site for zone maps and/or badge lists and info. Anyone have recommendations for comparable resource sites?

I am aware Vidiotmaps is simply up for sale, but I figure there's no time like the present to look into alternatives.
  11. Arrogance, in all it's gloriously ugly forms, from the Fire Tanker who believes he should actually get paid to join your team... to the Kheldian (who's obviously not actually played any AT up to Lvl 50) leading the charge into a mob containing a Void Slayer... to the Blaster who, upon thier defeat, rants at the Empath "You're supposed to heal me after I Nova/Inferno! You suck at healing!"

It is, sadly, a rare and precious thing to be a part of a team where everyone knows their job and is willing to play their part in the team's success. Glory-hounds and showboats suck the fun right out of a good day.
  12. Let me begin by saying I agree with the idea that just because a toon is Lvl X does not assure they indeed know what they are doing. This holds true for all ATs, not just Kheldians. Personally I have been around since Day 3 of CoH and have three active Lvl 50s one of which is a Peacebringer. I find it unreasonable to absolutely exclude Kheldians from teaming opportunities. Since I am also a dire opponent of "blind invites" it seems simple enough to /tell the Kheldian in question and talk to them about joining your team. Setting a "rule" for yourself which excludes Kheldian players (except those you already know) seems to be overreacting. You never know what you might learn from that stranger on the LFT list.
