Looking at the screenshot of that Leprachaun makes me smile and laugh.
But an influence boost? That's so not worth spending money on. PL some n00bs in AE; apparently now people are paying 500 million a run for that, or something. That more gold than a leprechaun has hidden under the rainbow. The Leprechaun should boost all drops--influence/prestige, salvage, recipes and tickets--if they want 10 bucks for it. Consider him a permanent, slightly weaker, version of the Windfall temp. I bet you'd see a sea of green little men in Incarnate trials if they worked like thatall praetoria's drops belong to Leprechaun dimension

Stalker changes are very good, but there's one thing they need to do--make the Assassination Counter an active rather than Autopower. I keep autopowers hidden because you have this insanely long bar of them otherwise, but the AS Counter counts as an autopower instead of counting like StJ's Active counters.
The new portal to DA is...lazy. I see the Midnighters are surrounding the portal--at least drop a CoT/Supergroup base mystic circle slab down on that grass tile. I think the magic portal to the Ward in Talos is also sloppy and lazy looking, too. Frankly I wouldn't have minded if the Midnighters had erected magic wards all over the War Wall entrance in Talos and the old string of code that level-restricted Hazard Zones was reimplemented to bar access to sub-50s. Villains...well, villains always sneak into Paragon through helicopters anyhow. Maybe that would've been the place to have the Mu mystics chanting and cracking open magic portals. Or just enter via the Midnighter's Club. -
Was playing my stalker.
I think Stalkers will finally be invited to teams now that they can burst out some good damage. Scrappers and Brutes and probably Banes too laughed at stalkers and their gimpy oh-so-easily interrupted and long charging melee snipe that became weaker and less useful (teamwise) the higher level you went.
Also made a new StJ one just for the fun of getting to juggle two different +damage counters. Follow that AS up with a crushing blow for an arcadey combo hit -
CoH updated something in today. i22 gone live?
-
I think it's more likely Crey would've already stolen his body and begun testing a new line of Paragon Protectors. Emperor Cole was able to create those Praetorian Guards based on his DNA...
oh, and I wish they'd deactive the supernatural apocalypse since nobody bothers to even try it outside of halloween. -
If the other power pools ever get upgraded to have 5 powers in each pool maybe they could give Fighting a mez defense toggle. Leave a KB hole so that it doesn't step on Acrobatics' toes.
-
i22 doesn't have to get pushed back for staff fighting. They can just release new powersets when they're done with the Paragon Market now--those dark sets are the only thing mentioned as being part and parcel of the issue, right? It wouldn't be too surprising if they didn't release a new market powerset until after double xp weekend to avoid a glut of PL'd 50 staffers complaining that hitting things with a big stick isn't as good as they thought it would be.
Have a stalker ready and waiting for i22 to make them suck less, with an archetype enhancement and everything -
Aren't virtually all of components of the Rularuu crazy, except for that HUGE BLUE JERK that nobody thought to give a cellphone to? I think it'd be hard to call in Rularuu's assistance against the Battalion.
Plus waking up a chaos god doesn't seem like a good idea. Isn't Rularuu's mind the entire dimension when he's actually awake? He must've munched every Well in his universe. And the OTHER universes he consumed. -
At least soldiers get variety. Think of the poor Widows who only have that single pair of old claws.
-
Just one of those old funky Statesman-isms that never got fixed (he never even wanted the stores to be marked on the maps, if I remember right)
Enhancements sell for more to the proper origin store. Contacts are wankers that overprice their enhancements even though you had to unlock their inventory compared to just going to the store (since stores were "secret"?) Contacts were good to buy Insps from...well, until arena store and AE insp vendor and nurses in the hospitals...
I still laugh at the badge they put at the Freedom Corps store in IP. "So far out of the way it's regarded as the cursed job assignment to work there" -
The Battalion are the guys that wrecked the Nictus Empire and chuck Shadow Cysts into their spaceship engine like so much coal. They're such bad dudes they even beat (not) Lord Nemesis in the far-flung future and he cooked up the Ouroborous scheme.
Pretty sure they're going to be coming to eat the world like a fleet of Galactuses. Praetoria can only keep on being the place Incarnates keep raiding for so long--gotta bring out some kind of alien super-Incarnates. -
Quote:bah, turn Serum into an AP Ammo buff for a pet or something. Give the commando some irradiated rounds :P like giving them Achilles' Heel IO proc but as a power instead of an enhancement--mercs aren't that awful if you have that io slotted into the soldiers and spec-ops, since they can at least sorta make up for their horribly over-resisted lethal damage. And take the grenade away from the stupid medic since his range with it is shorter. Bad as an arsonist when it comes to getting gibbed.
Mercs would get something of the short end of the stick, but, it's already been acknowledged (I think by Synapse, on the Beta forums) that Mercs is overdue for a review in the future anyway. -
I thought the big AoE def bonus was sort of nice. They probably didn't want to just do another +3% to all DEF.
Think set bonuses just usually sort of suck for MMs in general. The archetype enhancement reflects the IO enhancement...what do MMs go for, just +DEF and +HP? i never bothered spending the money on setting one out since they don't get much from it (compared to my scrappers or broots that turn into SMASHMACHINES with a mountain of set bonuses) -
Quote:heh, how many people actually play kheldians? Although the damage up in Nova form would probably be pretty spiffy. Warshade with fluffies out and upgraded nova, mmm.
Kheldian ones are cheap on Market, woot!
The SOA proc seems to be confused, it one part it says -dmg debuff/terrorize and another spot it says -dmg debuff/Toxic DoT -
Mm, Baron jacket for females.
The Skull Mask still is male and huge only, though, isn't it? Hope that one gets gender equalitied, too. -
It'd probably just be a lot of slow, tedious gruntwork to upgrade all the costume pieces in the costume creator and the costume devs are busy on making costume packs for the paragon store to keep CoH showing a profit to NCSoft.

Maybe Destroyed Galaxy City will be the first place Incarnates will fight the incarnate Battalion in the coming storm
-
Oh, they're not actually IOs, more like HOs? then I guess they work regardless. you can't buy them with reward merits or astral merits without currently being a VIP subscriber and they have a 4-day cooldown timer on each purchase, so that's sorta ehhh
glad the stalker changes are going in or they would've been balancing the gimpy stalker AT around a required IO proc. If that works in an AOE and checks on each enemy that gets hit instead of just a single chance on activation then slotting it into something like KM's Burst that would be good times good times, having a 100% area crit from hide that could almost guarantee a placate...ha. -
Statesman wanted to stay dead.
One thing I wonder about is why they chose to revive the Red Widow rather than the Ghost Widow.
From GW's patron arc it does seem that the Red Widow really was a dangerous woman, and helped to focus Lord Recluse's resolve rather than distract him from his goals.
Reviving Belladonna would destabilize Arachnos more than hooking LR up with his dead wife does. The head of the Widow faction suddenly alive again instead of soulbound to the organization, and able to think for herself instead of helplessly loyal?
Course this might just lead up to Lord Recluse and Emperor Cole fighting it out, so the two Incarnates have their evil empires bashing each other while the heroes aid the rebels. -
I think it's mostly funny that getting Lord Recluse a girlfriend diminishes his desire to go conquer the world.
The way to stop Emperor Cole is to get him a wife. The old ball and chain will never let him go on any interdimensional wars when he's got to go visit the in-laws! -
DJ Zero doesn't even offer me the mission to collect valentine's even though I have the Snaptooth mission unlocked.
I thought finally something new for the spring fling event would be neat, but if it's just fed-ex missions (like resurrecting the Red Widow mostly is) then that's pretty lame. I tried grinding the trash in the snap mission for some tips and I just get the usual lot of tips, so whatever. -
I'm rather skeptical the engine can do a lot more when it chugs so horribly during things like Rikti invasions and whatnot where everybody starts to do the slideshow dance.
Maybe they mean the costume creator is getting an overhaul. That's the one thing CO updated and did better than the original--4 colors instead of 2 and asymmetrical pieces! -
Bazooka Judgement
You bazooka the everyloving bejebus out of a targeted area. Like what the War Walkers do! Or say you shot a micro black hole at them. That sounds a lot more impressive. -
You register with a federal bureau to get licensed as a hero (I think Captain America fought against that)
Security Level was just the degree of trust that was put into a hero due to their deeds (levels) that gave them a higher security rating. The Vanguard don't want somebody that doesn't have a history of anything but beating up a few Skulls going off to fight the Rikti since rookies will just get in the way, for example.
Arachnos just has the fateweavers and arbiters keep track of the Destined Ones and your villainous rep spreads by word of mouth. Semi-villainous rep. Good at beating up Arachnos, at least. -
I think it's because Controllers have access to some more pet-intensive sets than the Dominator (Illusionists poop out phantoms)
